What are viable mage/shaman decks? It seems every time I play secret odd mage I am matched up against infinite armour warrior or druid or wall priest. Are there any mage or shaman decks that can beat these decks?
Big spell mage should be favored agaisnt wall priest if you know the matchup well enough. Jaini just auto wins against warrior if played correctly as well. Make sure you run geist. And shaman? No idea.

With the mage deck, kill them quicker, warrior is unfavored but only about 40/60 so its winable. The priest is favored about 60/40. Both matches is about tempo, running double couterspell helps alot.
There is the new elemental shaman list that is gaining alot lately, but havent tried it yet.
Aggro Odd Mage is a decent deck, although many lists still run less than optimal cards (e.g. Nightblade) and Big Spell Mage is still an excellent counter to Odd Warrior, although regular Odd Mage is now the more popular build.
Shaman? I'd recommend to abandon the class until April. It's deep down in the dumpster, both play- and winrate-wise for multiple reasons.
Even shaman is still viable, I hit legend with it. Worst matchups are traditional or the slower odd BSM (virtually hopeless unless you kill them quickly), evenlock and control priest. Secret paladin is also suprisingly difficult, unless you get good tempo plays like eel and fireplume . Hagatha on curve levels out your chances against odd warrior, you can outvalue them especially if they run BGH instead of Elise, try not to play draw spells if you get them. Wall priest, kill them quickly or save your saronites and taunts (taunt totem is very handy here) to prevent a one turn kill from wall priest, shadow madness must be played around so don't drop al'akir unless you can buff him or they wasted shadow madness, grind them out and use your big hitters to control their taunts, hex gives you breathing space or handles something that has been buffed, Hagatha for additional answers, spell breaker for lethal offensive. I run cryostasis to replace flametongue, and dropped the knife juggler package which unfortunately makes the odd paladin matchup a little tougher. Second turn cryostasis on totem really makes life tough for an opponent. The demise of odd rogue was a good thing for even shaman, even though control priest is never good for it.
I've won about 300 ranked games with a mage since the release of Rastankhan. That said, I don't have many great things to say about the mage class this expansion. I've tried about every variation...tempo, elemental, big spell, odd aggro, odd hybrid.
Had probably my best success with odd aggro mage, but so much of the victories depend on RNG and luck. I've yet to find a well-rounded build, and find the weaknesses outweigh the strengths regardless the build. Most of what you face now are priests and hunters, so you'll want to counter them as much as you can. I'm going to wait and see what this rotation brings to mages and if there isn't some improvement in the class, I'll probably just drop the game as a whole.

I play Big Spell mage with pretty good success.
But how do you avoid losing to 36 attack moshoggs?
Evolve shaman can be good. Some of the time.
Play smart. I've polymorph'd it so it could be brought back before. Used Water Elementals to keep freezing it so it could attack.
I forced a Priest to psychic scream all of their taunts into my deck because my board was so big.

Polymorph and Hex are your best friends against Wall Priest.
Notice that Hex fits the only current meta deck for Shaman, which is the Even deck.
No really good mage decks right on. It used to be my main but team5 pushed this class in the wrong direction.
On top of that, the meta presently being so boring, I am waiting for the next rotation to decide if I keep playing HS.
I would like to see my good tempo mage coming back.
Um thijs has a nice elementals shaman deck that looks promising.

What are u talking about? aggro odd mage is top tir.
Odd mage is just ok and top tier on the meta as it is now doesn't mean anything to me.

Skidaddle skidoodle your Milhouse manastorm is now a noodle

Should have good chances against Priest (Hex) and Warrior (value)
Odd Control Mage/BSM is very good and Odd Aggro Mage is decent. Shaman is shit, forget about it.

I played Aluneth tempo mage i top 2000 legend yesterday and went 6-2 and 4-0 against various priest decks
Elementals for both
