After the ladder change, I don't consider it a big achievement. It is way too easy now. Sometimes I watch streams and see how completely bad are rank 1 players, who are about to hit legend in the middle of the season. This says something, legend ranks are full of average players.
Totally agree with all the comments stating it is an achievement. It took me a year to hit legend and I can honestly say it was an incredible feeling when I finally did - satisfaction, elation but mostly relief to be honest!
Whatever anybody says, it is a grind which requires skill, time and determination no matter what’s deck you play. Most players never get there so anyone who makes it - even once - should be proud.
Ever tried to get a girl or somebody else impressed by sayin "hey, I am gud at playin pc, do you wanna hook up with me?" Is f***ing 200 girls an achievement?
It's your opinion and your decision how you rate it or everything...
It takes time, needs knowledge and you'll have to get your mindset in o.k.-shape...
I have gotten laid off video game interactions at least a dozen times. They're out there. Especially in 2015ish league of legend days.

Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.

Most of players saying that it's only grinding and you don't get anything about reaching legend are only frustrated because they simply can't do it. That's all. Hitting legend it's a great effort and require some knowledge about the game.
I have seen a lot of bad players with odd pally... so please stop.
to me it was but i did it differently. grinding 200 games until your 50.1% winrate eventually gets there is not an achievement in my eyes.i tried every month for legend but when i dipped below 60% winrate i stopped playing. until a few months ago on the release of even paladin i played it to legend at around 75-80% winrate and got legend in half a night
now ofc a lot of people wont care or even know that, but its a big acomplishment for myself and thats whats important right
it never took me long to get to legend and I've done it 5 times so far (Standard: Big Druid, Spell Hunter before ZulJin ^^) (Wild: 3x Togwaggle Druid). The lowest win rate was with Big Druid at around 64% and the highest with Spell Hunter with 70%+ from 5 to legend.
I wouldn't consider myself a good player, but decent. Highest legend finish was 44 (Wild obviously, but Kingsbane ruined my day)
Might try to get that Legend 1 finish once just to prove it to myself. But OP is right, it doesn't affect anyone in any way. Just for your own ego, I suppose. :P
its funny all those scrubs saying its easy and it means nothing. well why is there "only" 10k players at legend EU every month?
sure its not rocket science but there's more to it than just being a scrub and grinding

There is only my justice now

I'm just a casual f2p player, but I'll admit that I use Odd Paladin to get to the legend. I'm still proud of it though... :P
I need to hit Legend for my monthly doses of dopamine.

Always expect the unexpectable!
ohh legend has long lost its prestige and become a measure for "level of unemployment"
I think "gosh what an ugly card back.... i wish my opponent would entertain me with a card back that actually looks cool"
i see it probably every other opponent even in casual and I'm not sure why people bother with it
