I was F2P for the first year after I've started to play. I tried every class and some of the available tactics were just not for me back in a day. Rogue was all about some weird miracles and weak board interaction, mage was not interactive at all with all this freeze tactic or burst aggro. Hunter was all about smorc. Those 3 classes did not fit my taste so I started to dust every card I got for them which also allowed me to focus more on the classes I enjoyed playing and playing against. Even now after a few years, I prefer to stick to 2 of my fav classes (paladin and shammy), homebrew weird decks and from time to time play strong tier decks from other classes.
I want to know how You play this game, whether you play all the classes equally, are there people collecting all the cards despite not using them? If so, why do you do that? Is it because you have enough money to spend or you just like collecting cards?
Its not always about not being bored, I think liking what you play is more imporatnt :P After all games are supposed to make us smile and not force us to do stuff because we cant find anything better to do. Because at this moment it becomes an addiction if You ask me ;P
When I was FTP I dusted everything apart from hunter and paladin cards (even then I still couldn't afford deck for them). However since K&C, I've been pre-ordering each expansion and I'm still unable to play all classes, atm I play hunter, paladin, warrior, shaman and druid. My point is unless you have been pre-ordering for at least one standard rotation then you kinda have to limit yourself to a select amount of classes because this game is simply too expensive.
You are literally the first person I heard who mass dusted and didn't regret it. Hmm.
Myself I tended to dust things until I realized my collection wasn't getting anywhere and that cards I didn't care for before I ended up wanting later. I only was able to get a proper handle of things once I stopped doing that and accepting what I have at the time.
I literally make an effort to trying to make 2 decks for each class during a set and trying to get them all to work. Some are homebrew, some pulled from somewhere, but all will be something I like. Rogue was the last to get a handle on as, like you, I didn't care for Miracle, and probably just me alone, I had NO LUCk getting Rogue cards. I ended up crafting most of the epics/legendaries in the end.
Glad I did though. Rogue went from a class I didn't care for to one I always jump into. Tess rogue is one of my Go To decks nowadays when I just want to play something and if she didn't exist, I would've been big on deathrattle.
Meanwhile Mage was the class that got me to LIKE hearthstone in the Classic..err 'Expert" set. Now I don't really care for them. But I probably will later on. Same goes for Priest. I LOVED Dragon Priest and Midrange Priest and Contol Priest and so on in TGT and even jumped on Purify Priest once I saw it actually 'work' in Un'Goro. Then they went Raza Priest only and I didn't give a crap about the entire class. Now I have decks I like but I have better decks to play elsewhere (I even have Cloning Gallery but can't find a care to craft the Velen I need to finish the deck).
So even if I don't use all of the classes, I know what sucks now will rock later so I want to be ready. I'll craft only what I want to do, but I avoid dusting when possible, even if the card is currently bad (how many of you dusted Hadronox when it came out? How many regret it?).
i normally only play 2 or 3 classes much in any given month, but i have all classes golden and play them all. paladin is the one class that i've basically not played since i got it golden, but the prospect of a control heal paladin makes it likely i'll be padding the win total for Uther in the coming months. shaman was in a similar position, but Shudderwock gave it a bit of a revival for me in Witchwood.

I try to keep at least one reasonable deck for each class but, of course, from time to time I have my favorite class and deck, which I enjoy play the most at that moment.
Most played: Paladin Often played: Warrior, Hunter Sometimes played: Druid, Rogue Rarely played: Warlock, Shaman, Priest, Mage
I keep almost everything, only dust goldens and cards I know I'll never use. Way back when I started playing I dusted everything to make a really good Paladin deck and I don't regret it (although I've basically collected all those cards again since). I've played every class at some point, and every class has had at least 1 deck I've enjoyed, but I gravitate to my top 3 way more than the other 6 (#GrimyGoon4Life).
my focus is playing a class when there is a good deck until it gets golden hero portrait then switch to other class. now i have 6 class left to play but not all suite with my style of aggressive deck. mage and priest probably 2 of my least favorite class because of that reason. also i don't have a lot of resource to craft every good deck. so stick 2 to 3 good ladder deck for the meta of 6 class i haven't get the golden hero portrait is my goal.
and yes, having a main class in HS is just dumb, sometimes i get bored or the deck i created not working well, just go for other deck of other class, it should work most of the times
Op, from your description it doesn't sound like you completely understand the classes you've dusted. I actually enjoy rogue and hunter the most, because there is a lot of variability in how the decks play. Moreover, every time I hear people assume hunter is synonymous with "smorc" or "huntard" it makes me want to facepalm. Yes, that's a viable hunter build, and it tends to do well overall in most metas (but not tier 1), but there is so much more to hunter. If that's not the case, why is Deathrattle Hunter tier 1 right now? Why are Zombeasts a thing if they contradict the smorc playstyle?
I play most of the classes on a regular basis, but deck slot restrictions are a real thing and I don't care to put in the extra effort to continually swap back and forth between decks in game and out of game on a continual basis. Plus, shaman doesn't usually have as much appeal to me like it did in WoW for many years, the class is way too focused on token-based gameplay.

I dont think You understood. I said thats what those classes used to be.

Your point is incorrect.
The reason why you cannot play all 9 classes is not because you haven't "Preordered for at least one Standard rotation" but because you decided to dust all cards from Druid, Mage, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock and Warrior.
Dusting all cards from 7 classes is usually not the way to go if you want to play all 9 classes. Kind of like peeing in your pants to keep warm.

Dont dust cause yes u might be hurt in the near future running a budget deck but in a few months ur collection will grow.
I like to play the game and I don't mind investing money in to it. And I like collecting stuff. So, I don't dust cards and whenever there is a class/deck I want to try - I just play it.

Well, I am F2P player and trying to build some good deck to have fun. I started 15 months ago with total garbage. Then my friend helped me to dust some cards and build my first "ranked"deck and I was able to hit #10. Then Witchwood came and by chance I got Hagatha and Shudderwock, and in the next expansion Electra. So what can I play else than Shaman?
Well, I was lucky to open Prince Keleseth and crafted some legendaries, so I have 36 of them, but still mostly a garbage. I decided not to dust from this point anything.
Everytime I am trying to save 10k+ gold to get the maximum I need for the next period of time. Right now I rely on Zentimo, but in case I am not going to get it, I will have to craft it most probably. I will open my 130 packs in two weeks, when I hit the required amount of gold and till the end of this year I will play Arena. And next year the same story - saving, saving and saving.
I have 5 golden heroes (Druid, Hunter, Paladin, Rogue, and Mage) and I’m 64 wins away from Shaman that’s part of the reason I play all classes. Plus I play all classes in arena as well

having a ''main'' class in Hearthstone is dumb imo.
sure, you can have a favorite class but to exclusively play one class… I never understood why

Step one don't dust. Step two profit
I play every class except druid. I have ALL of its cards but a class broken af is not appealing to me.
