Oh look, Bee is being rude/salty for no reason again
gj OP
I mean come on dude.. the guy makes a Hearthpwn account just to brag about reaching Legend.
What am I supposed to do ? Give him a pat on the back ?
And you know what's funny ? He's probably never ever posting again.
Since when did sharing with other people about something you were proud with accomplishing turn into bragging? Not everyone shares about an experience really expecting to get something out doing so. Do you honestly never tell someone about something just for the fact that you felt good about and told someone simply because you felt happy?
You could just read it and move on. Nobody can make you comment about it.
How does not posting on the site again have anything to do with the topic of the thread?
someone told me this game was hard, I laughed. Kids lose and they think they lose because the other person was smarter than them and when they win they think they are smarter than the other person. The way the game is structured determines if you reach legend or not. Bots get legend rank why, because they play enough games to do it. Math doesn't lie. I'll be the first to say I was glad to get the card back because I will never have to get it again and how much time I had to sit there and play the same thing over and over and over again. I've been top 200 legend since then and it does get easier. Even when you are drunk or watching tv you manage to autopilot a deck you have won 1000 times with pretty good. When you are at that stage does it mean you are smarter than the other guy...no? It means you just calculate odds better. I've top-decked wins so many times its hilarious but in certain matchups you have to play that line or you just wont win and winning will come down to drawing answers or just losing. The game is about answers and if you don't have one you lose more than you will ever win. The difference in any card game is the amount of time one is willing to sit and play it.
The very fact that this guy is a 41-year-old father has no bearing on how much he plays the game at all. The fact that this adult can get a cardback that all the kids who spend hours and hours trying to get but never do WILL make those kids mad. That is the type of community that this game is made of and it's pretty sad.
comments like this are pretty sick imo.
1. "because between working and taking care of kids, he has little time to grind for legend
which makes his achievement much more deserving of praise than yours, who have all day free from the time ur mom wakes you up at 12"
This 41 year old may be collecting disability and in a wheelchair who plays all day. Your comment makes me think you are making excuses why you haven't gotten your card back. Why even comment?
My soul motivation for doing it was someone told me it was hard. I like to show that person if you devote enough time to anything it can be done.
congratulations or your cardback. Now play tempo-mage and reach 500 wins with that deck. By the time you reach 400 you will auto-pilot it and realize what I have just said to be true. Eventually you will just get legend every season and pretty soon it will become as meaningless as rank 10.
I find it strange how people feel the need to let strangers know their age and whether or not they have children when they reach legend. I mean yes, your first time reaching legend is very exciting. I just don't get how being a middle age dad is relevant. Like, why not let us know how many pets you have, your favorite pizza topping and how many movies you have in your netflix que as well? It's not like the game is somehow more challenging the older you get, nor is reaching legend a time intensive activity; it can be done in a day or two. Congratulations though. Lots of people are afraid to make the leap or they psych them selves out. Good on you for sticking to it.

I reach legend by playing less than 30 min a day sometimes not at all usually before the 20th of the month , this was before you only lost 4 ranks at the end of the season. Usually with winrates somewhere between 63-79% depending on the deck. On top of that I don't consider myself a great player I just used my brain and make the right choices with some luck ofcourse.
I am 35 and a new dad and this game is the only one I can play with the baby around because I can put it down so easily. Congrats on your legend and I will be trying to get there this season.

Yeah because of a-holes like you who are so insecure about a card game that they feel the need to constantly be rude to others.
i mean you're no cheesepuff/cotton candy yourself.......and yes i'm aware of the irony that neither am i but let's not derail a celebratory post with discussion, legend is actually a pretty good milestone for busy people.
That said, congratulations!!! hope the kiddos are proud to have such a cool dad! (also if you ever see them making friends that wait outside the house's door, when he hasn't even come from shcool yet just so that he invites them to play videogames inside your house as soon as he's home from school, run away and keep them as far as possible from those guys, trust me, i'm telling you by experience and regret.....)
Don't have as much time as I used to. Luckily my kids are into it too! They were in here cheering me on when I made it. I typically buy 50 packs for each release and horde gold but I have to split my packs up 1/3, 1/3, 1/3 so my son and daughter can open as many as me. It's the greatest thing in the world to watch the look on their faces when they crack open a legend.
So every time someone reaches legend you should make a thread for it?
If you want to why not? I thought forums at its most base form were meant to just be a public platform to have ongoing discussions about *stuff*. Getting to legend qualifies as stuff. Plus, it is HS related :P
Just turned 42 year old dad here and I’m sort of close myself. Been rank 3 and 4 the past 2 seasons. Was pushing for the first time for legend but just didn’t have the time. Hoping to get there in next couple months myself

How can you even say that lol. I have 56 wins with Mage after about 3 years of playing.
Add me up if you're looking for someone to play friendly matches with! I play on EU. LuckyScrub#2745

This forum is so toxic. If you don't have anything good to say don't say anything and move on.
Oh, and good job OP for reaching legend!
Golden heroes: Warlock, Druid, Mage, Hunter

Doesn't being able to calculate odds better make you smarter in that regard? It sounds like you're just contradicting yourself.
So every time someone reaches legend you should make a thread for it?

From a 44 yr old momma who has yet to get past R-3, CONGRATS!!! Maybe one day for me....
Congrats Neapawn. The struggle is real.
Maybe we need a dedicated thread for Working Parent players... we could call it the "Salt and Pepper" thread...
Congrats!
