I haven't lost once to a Druid this expansion. I'm at rank 11 now and have played Evolve Shaman, Homebrew Highlander Nzoth Priest and Taunt Warrior and haven't lost a single game to druid. Not sure what to say to this
I mean, I see that people are saying it's not that hard to beat, but what weaknesses does Druid actually have? As far as i can tell, they've been given the tools to pretty much negate their former weaknesses, and Skulking Geist is only somewhat helpful, provided that you can survive their massive tempo plays.
It's quite depressing to note that one of the only ways to beat one horrible deck is to resort ot playing another horrible deck. Don't get me wrong, I'm in the same camp - I've played both these decks when I have needed "dat gold" for more packs, so I am no better.
But the "Unkillable Mage" Ice Block abuse is pretty horrendous and I'm still amazed that this card even exists, let alone wasn't force-rotated out after the debacle of last season with it. I guess they [The Blizz] realised there had to be at least one deck that counters Druid in this meta. Maybe that's why we never saw the much-needed Frost Mage Nerf of 2017... ^_^
I play with highlander priest and Vanish giants rogue and don't have a lose match vs druids, the problem for me is play vs druid after druid after druid again.
I really hope I wrong here and is only my bad luck matching vs druid all the time or this actual scenario last only for few days.
I play this game before Naxx release and by far the worse meta was Tier 0 midrange shaman.
The only people in this thread defending the current state of druid are the ones playing it. You´d have to be dumb, deaf and blind to not realise how broken it is.

Play the class and find out :). It is very easy to call other decks OP if you haven't played them and from your statements it doesn't seem like you have ever played a lategame Druid deck to find out. Besides decks like Jade Druid are very favored right now since a lot of people are trying to refine their Control lists (due to the expansion providing a lot of interesting and powerful control cards) and Jade Druid thrives in such metas. The moment people start switching to Midrange and some Aggro decks you will see Druid's popularity falling. You should also consider that getting to a near optimal list isn't hard for Jade Druid, because the deck has been around for 8 months, they only swapped out a few of the best cards they received this set for less needed cards in their previous list and are now playing the strongest variants of their list, whereas other lists are still experimenting to get there and even with such benefits for Druid (in brief, favorable meta and optimal lists) they are far from unbeatable, which is backed by a lot of players in this thread and from statistics websites online. Knowing that the meta would see a lot of experimentation with Control decks also contributed to a lot of players switching to Jade immediately, which explains its current popularity.
Just wait the ViciousSyndicate have the first report showing that Midrange Paladin is the best deck (and having a positive winrate versus Jade Druid). After that, ladder will be infested with Murlocs and everyone will complain about that.
The live report that shows the 15 most played decks already showing that, metastats data showing it too. Druid is really powerful (Ultimate Infestation is the type of 10 mana card that take over the game, and the fact that is an Epic allows running 2) but it is not unbeatable.
Newer Pirate builds are changing to Bittertyde Hydra, Cap Greenskin and the new Pirate to combat Spreading Plague, going on big threats instead of a large board. Shaman can plan ahead and play a Devolve - Bloodlust turn, Midrange Paladin can play the buff game, Aggro Druid goes Innervate - Fleeding - game over.

what needed nerf?? freeze mage was the only deck preventing aggro druid and aggro shamman from getting out of control, don't get me wrong, i think token Druid and shamman should exist since imho that's how aggor should be...build a board and buff it instead of stacking charge and weapons, however there should also be something that prevents them from getting out of control and allows people to play more high curve decks and that was freeze mage.
No aggro deck can beat current druid deck, have you realized it now?. But my handlock beats any kind of druid deck. When my opponent builds a wall with 5-7 taunts or jades I just shadowflame my 8/8 giant or shambler and clean the board. Have more than 85% winrate against druids (above rank 5)

Ice Block did. I thought I made that clear... maybe not. I didn't say it was the only thing that needed attention, however. But I don't think anyone could honestly disagree that Ice Block wasn't heavily hated by a lot of players (and still is, to be honest - maybe to a lesser degree perhaps). It's one of those cards (similar to the Rogue Quest) which denies the opponent to get a chance to play around it since the options for off-turn damage are very limited and therefore removes virtually any interactivity.
But let's not derail this thread into a discussion about mages, hey? :-) There's plenty of other discussions for that one! ;-)
A mistake in the past doesnt justify doing the same mistake again.. Druid should be nerf asap.. It is so unfair to play against Druid.. Most of the top 10 legend decks are different Druid archetypes.. People will get sick of this meta and that will only do harm in the game in the long run
But, I am not saying wait 8 months, am I? I am just saying jumping the gun on nerfs is never a good idea and I have never supported it (especially since we get no buffs when nerfs are unwarranted, such as e.g. in Call of the Wild's). This kind of behavior is premature, because its only been a week into the expansion and we are talking about refined Jade Druid (since they only swapped the best cards into their lists) vs unrefined Control lists (considering that control lists are already unfavored against Jade), thus leading to a popularity increase in a deck since its matchups are very favorable.
Ofc I do understand that Druids are doing well against some aggro lists as well, but the main incentive to run it initially was that Control was getting a lot of interesting options and thus you were setting yourself up for very favorable matchups running Druid. On the other hand, its fine if some aggro players lose due to overextending into a Spreading Plague. Mindless flooding should be punished and I for one won't complain that such a card was printed. In fact there are quite a few Aggro decks that can handle it and most threats from a midrange deck can probably easily dispose of the 1/5s with Taunt.
Also, please quote me since notifications are f***ed up, so its much harder to understand when people are replying to me and not someone else.
Look, above rank 5, the ladder is horrendous right now - it's 40% druid, 35% of which seems to be jade druid. Yes, the deck can be beaten...but it shits all over most the new control cards that hyped people up from the new expansion, and the counter card, being 4/6 6 mana play, is a huge tempo loss...so if you luck out and have it hand on turn 6 you'd think it would atleast result in a near guaranteed win right? They way reno used to work against aggro...does it fuck! it swings the match probably 70-30 in your favor as a control deck. Most of the time you'll draw it too late for even that.
Jade druid has got to go, UI and new defensive tools have made it worse than ever, and it was annoying as hell before even as a tier 3 deck. Worst idea blizzard ever had, baby's first control deck, shits all over far harder to play, normal control decks.
For starts, if you play pirate warrior you have no right to complain about anything in this game.
But, I do agree that at this point druid is really stronger than ever, not only jade or aggro, taunt druid is a thing too (and the most annoying, at least for me).
So, what can we do about it? Druid is the new shaman. Just wait a couple expansions and a new threat will emerge.
They're the same usually in my experience. They run mostly the same cards with Power of the Wild and Mark of the Lotus instead of other cards I guess.
They are all over in ranks 15 and higher so I've faced plenty. It doesn't matter what deck I am playing. Even with a PERFECT draw on something like Pirate Warrior
I almost felt bad for you until I reached the words "Pirate Warrior". Then I just started laughing. So what you're complaining about is that you are playing the cheapest, nastiest, most degenerate deck in the game that requires so little skill a bot can play it, and you don't like that it has a counter? A deck so disgusting that it kills opponents by turn 4 and makes a mockery of Hearthstone? Some people. Seriously.
Man, Shadowreaper Priest is very good... I have like 70% wr agains jade druid, not big deal to kill them. If i survive till turn 8 i destroy everything with Shadowreaper Anduin
