I will not discard any of these cards because i dont discard cards that are not extras.
I think a blizzard game designer said recently on a twitch stream that discard warlock is really good in the current meta but not played by many people.
Never trust these people, they just wanted to cover their mistake in making Pirates too powerful and dominating the Meta.
@Darknesspyre; I would wager there are going to be vanilla minions. Sometimes they're actually not bad (Carrion Grub) and sometimes it's stuff that isn't terrible in limited (Pit Fighter), it's not really a huge deal to have them in the set to be honest and I wouldn't get my hopes up just because they haven't revealed them. I'd be shocked if half the cards made it into competitive decks because, simply put, that's generally just how card games tend to settle out if the set isn't blatantly power creeping previous cards.
Personally I think the set is still promising so far, I'm enjoying the balance of pushed and unpushed archetypes quite a bit. King Mosh has me hopeful for a Control Warrior that feels more like the old Control Warrior before it started focusing on Tank Up + Elise win conditions, which is awesome in my opinion. I'm not sure there's really much I'm unhappy about so far with their announcements, though Adapt seems like it could get crazy.
I agree, carrion grub and pit fighter were not actually that bad. I hope that most of the cards are at least of some use in constructed. Yeah I am pretty satisfied with the expansion so far, there has been nothing too stupidly OP revealed yet so hopefully the rest of the expansion has the same power level we have been seeing.
I will not discard any of these cards because i dont discard cards that are not extras.
You consider Clutchmother Zavas trash? That is HUGE for discard warlock, as it allows to make a positive impact from a negative keyword, like discard. That may be one of the most busted cards in the whole set as of now.
Its not busted at all, I bet it wont be widely played, it will usually max out around 6/6 or 8/8 and will get zapped after you play it like any other big creature. Nothing special IMO, unless it somehow enables really fast starts like turn 3 6/6.
I said that this was trash because the archetype around it is trash. If discolock was actually a thing, then this card is great, but discolock isn't going to be any good, therefore the card is trash
Hit rank 3 this month with discolock without him, the deck can see play.
This. Reminds of Pirate Warrior pre-MSG, where people were already doing well with the deck, and then STB and patches broke it. Discolock is already on the verge, and is a getting a few insanely strong cards. I think a non-quest version may actually be stronger.
This may be the set where almost all cards are useful to some extent. I know we've only seen 35-% of the cards so far, but nothing feels like dead weight as of right this minute. I haven't seen one revealed card that was a hard DE. I'd really hope they continue with this kind of direction for the next 85 cards. pack fillers are okay to some extent but god would i love it if this whole set was extremely good all around. (even dinosize which to me seems unplayable in constructed from a deck building standpoint can at least be made by an ivory knight which is really good)
This is such a pointless sentiment. Sure everything seems playable when you consider everything we are losing and have no idea how the meta is going to shape up. One card can define the entire meta. Only when that happens can you come to a true evaluation of what is dead weight or not.
I don't mean to crap on your excitement, but I think some of the cards that we haven't seen will end up being easy disenchants and I think cards that seem strong now will fall of the map completely. Volcanosaur for example is an easy disenchant. The meta isn't slowing down that much.

If you think volcanosaur is an auto disenchant you're missing the point of most of these cards.... or your deck building is atrocious. You obviously don't play volcanosaur in an elemental shaman deck, but you do play it in a beast hunter deck after you slapped down a tundra rhino. Lets be real. Landing dmg buff and windfury and having charge for tundra rhino? 16 dmg for nothing and so easy to play oncurve. (tundra/highmane/volcano)
Like i Said, everything so far has some value for deck building. the hunter legendary which people are saying bad is still a 9/9 to face if you have tundra rhino down. Yes instant DE's will come, but so far none have, so I'm rejoicing in that fact. So yeah you can you know, eat a pile a weiners Mr. knowseverythingaboutHearthstonecauseyololegend37seasonsinarow

Whether the cards are all constructed viable isnt the point here. Of course some cards will be stronger than others but as long as all the cards have some form of text that lets them do something interesting, then the possibility exists that at some point the card might see play. Boring and lazy vanilla minions with different stat distributions will never see any play ever and just waste expansion card slots.

What is this fantasy world that you live in where tundra rhino is not always removed immediately?

A fantasy world where follow up Highmane and volacanosuar stick even better and punish for removing a 2/5
I will not discard any of these cards because i dont discard cards that are not extras.
Sherazin, Corpse Flower: I somewhat agree but can't fully tell because we haven't seen all the cards yet.
Thunder Lizard: In constructed it will not see much play, but in Arena it has potential if more Common elementals are released.
Clutchmother Zavas: This card is very good and even though the discard deck-type is not very strong right now, this card and the quest will make it very powerful.
Hydrologist: Not sure if it is good yet, but seems pretty bad so I somewhat agree with you.
The Caverns Below: I believe this card will become very good if Blizzard releases the right cards. We cannot dismiss any quest cards until the full set is released.
Unite the Murlocs: I think this is a good quest if more murlocs are added to the set for Shaman.
Glacial Shard: Very powerful card and not trash at all. Powerful in almost any kind of deck. Can be used in Arena, Elemental decks, Aggro decks, Control decks, etc. Huge potential for this card.
Every expansion needs fillers. It helps players getting into the game distinguish why some cards may look better but perform worse than others. Also it keeps Arena decks from relying too much on Synergy, because then almost every deck would be bad and would have had to rely on RNG and intuition to pick out the cards you'd need.
That being said I think its nice that we haven't seen too many. Leaving them for the card dump is genius because they're easier to lose in the confusion, rather than revealing it like its some "big thing"
if you believe that you are a sheep
sure there can be neice cards but not fillers.. if you accept fillers you yourself is a filler
And you my friend are one of those who believe Ranked is the only serious game mode in existence.
If you played enough Arena you'd realize how many fillers you see on an average run. Don't shrug off fillers because they aren't interesting. Every card has a purpose, even if you don't want to include it in your "Ranked Deck".

Removing a 5 mana 2/5 is not particularly difficult on turn 6...

I don't care about arena true, why should i? the format is boring only promoting aggro / curve style of playing with some classes being way over represented.. nor do i care much for rankes, rather dislike my high ranks because it only makes me much more likely to play vs tryhard netdeckers... all i care about is combo & control decks, winning with an amazing play .. winning without effort does not matter.. it is too easy... I take interesting cards and build decks around them... like explosive sheep like Gaz'rilla and hogger doom of elwynn

That's you, not everyone. I for one love playing Arena, so ruining a game mode I like just to strengthen another makes no sense profit-wise or player-wise.
Also you can't make an ignorant statement about it only promoting Aggro/Curve because the RNG and skill needed to create a deck far surpasses cancerous auto-decks in ranked and casual
Ranked is an important game mode, but EVERY mode is equally important, and you can see that through Blizzard's card changes, Arena bans, etc., because they know that's how they lose part of their player-base.
You can stick to your game mode if you want, but don't shun occasional essential cards because its part of a mode you don't even play.
In my opinion Un'Goro seems like an expansion filled with arena cards that probably wont see much constructed play after the first couple of weeks of testing has been made, the Standard rotation will of course have a big impact, but I still don't see many of the cards we've seen so far be played much.

What is Hearthstone to you? A fun and semi-competitive game with wacky effects and crazy RNG outcomes or just a card game you wanna grind as many wins you can get as fast as possible in?

I mean, I'd say at least 40 of the 60ish cards so far will see constructed play to some degree. Some of them are just really decent when you reveal them with a discover effect (IE dinosize etc). In other words, the set feel very comfortable right now. My thought though is that the meta is going to collapse underneath itself 3 weeks in when people start realizing things that didn't work last meta suddenly work in this meta(like c'thun coming back suddenly or something)

Obviously posted prior to the Druid legendary reveal....
The trash was coming, its just surprising they didn't slip it into the bulk reveal and decided to put it up on a podium.

I mean, it depends. It could be good under the circumstance that you ramp to turn 10 and they are still on turn 4-5. I'm no longer dusting legendaries unless they are golden bad ones (so if i got a golden of the druid i'd probably DE it)
Un'Goro has potential. Most of the cards promote new deckbulding and less netdecking (hopefully). My only real fear is going against 10 jade druids in a road like today.

This tends to be said about every expansion, but I don't think any expansion has ever seen more than 20% of its cards see play.
