I see some people saying because of the 3 expansions a year hearthstone will get expensive and it will be impossible for F2P players to get cards, but that not true, i'm only going to focus on legendaries for now since they are the most expensive to make. Legendaries of past sets weren't all required, you can replace legendaries with other cards and it wouldn't really effect your deck too much. Heres the legendaries of past sets that were impossible or just hard to replace
If Blizzard made all legendaries impossible or hard to replace i can see peoples concerns but, only 2-4 legendaries per set so far were only not replacable. If it stays a this rate then hearthstone is fine, you don't need all of the cards, yeah it is fun to try and get a full collection but not all cards are needed for decks since you can replace them pretty easily with other cards that can do the job similarly
Let me do simple math... yes, even if you didn't spend a cent on packs, you would need, oh, lets say... 19200 dust to craft all of these in the list? And more than half of that for just the will-be-in-standard legendaries. And you're not even including legends that you WANT to craft, like aya and kazakus.
So yes, HS IS getting expensive. Hell, I have to shell out fifty bucks every expansion for the packs I need.
I mean...you don't HAVE to preorder 50 packs. It's not really that hard to get 1 pack every 1 to 2 days and enough dust to craft at least 1 legendary per month.

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
For a causal players, it is reasonable to assume on average 50g for daily quests 50g plus 10g for 3 wins. That is 219 packs a year.
I bought Karazhan with $20 real money, that is 109 packs per expansion last year.
In 2017, if I spend $50 for a 50 packs pre-order, I get on average 89 packs per expansion.
That is $30 more for 20 packs less per expansion in 2017. Heathstone is definitely getting more expensive.
Yes it's more expensive but not impossible for f2p players.
I also count 50g+10g each day.
day: 60g
week: 60 * 7 = 420g
year: 420 * 52 = 21840g
It means you have ~7280 golds per extension. This is enough to have all common and rare cards. Some epics and 2 legendaries. So for the legendaries you really need it will be necessary to craft them.
From my personnal experience, I get ~1600 dust from 8000 golds packs and 1600 dust from 4 golden epics because of rank 5 every month. So we are allowed to craft 2 legendaries each expansion. We just have to choose wisely and it will be ok :)

You aren't counting the upcoming Daily Rewards. After they are announced you can count the real cost. I really don't see the cost going up. That would only make it harder for new and returning players.
And the fact that they will give you at least a few packs early on as well as for completing adventure content of the 2nd and 3rd expansions.
Edit: Tbh I wouldn't be surprised to see the Brawl changed to give one pack of the latest expansion, which would be very good for F2P players and you can also do arena runs. Its not that bad and they have said they want to improve the F2P experience, but I think people are being too quick to judge them as greedy. I would at least wait up until the release of the new Standard before making such calls.
I don't agree for brawls. If we get lastest expansion pack, new players are *** because they really need classic pack cards. Sure for us old f2p players who have 95% of classic cards we prefer new expansion packs but i think this is more important to help new people than old one.

HS has a very generous F2P model. Including TBs, a daily player receives well over 250 free packs each year - about $300 in content simply for playing the game. About a third of the cards from an expansion typically see competitive play, so F2Ps really only "need" to collect about 45 cards from each set. Seventy packs amounts to 250 commons - a complete set, with lots of duplicates; 75 rares - most of the set, and all the "playables"; 20ish epics and 2 or 3 legendaries. Dust from duplicates and trash epics and legendaries can be used to craft most of the playable epics and a couple playable legendaries. At the end of the day, F2Ps will only be missing a handful of playable cards - not exactly anything to complain about.
While Classic is a good investment, F2P players who have been playing for a while probably have most Classic cards they need, at which point it is much better to just craft what you don't have and need from Classic and get packs from the latest expansion (that boosts your pity timer and gives more epic / legendary cards from the last set, which a larger amount of the players is likely to miss). F2P doesn't mean brand new player. It would also be good if Blizzard was a bit more generous with Classic packs they give to new accounts and I am expecting them to address the issue soon since it seems like fewer and fewer players are joining.
I really don't get this ''i need 200+packs'' thing to be honest.I always have about 7000-8000 gold before the expansion but i always buy only 60 packs anyway. Why? Because after 60 packs you get mainly dust instead of cards that you don't own which is ineffiecient as f*ck.As a result i spend the rest at the arena for 30 or 40 days after the expansion. After that i create the cards that i want and start saving for the next expansion.Of course i make the cards that i wanna play instandly on day 1 but that's usually a handfull of cards. Finally let's not forget the free pack each week and the 500/550 free dust at end of the month.
Long story short unless you are a new f2p or a collector, then the model is just fine. Now if you are new f2p then that sucks indeed and they should do something about it,however if you are collector then you should obviously pay anyway. It's unreasonable getting ALL the cards without spending a dime.
Ok. With adventures we get 6 - 7 legendaries, a bunch of epics and rares and some commons for 20$.
Now buy 15 packs with 20$ and tell me how many times you will be so lucky to get that value in cards.
But don't worry you don't need Kazakus really for your Reno decks, you can use Sen'jin Shieldmasta with the same cost. He even taunts some minions! Your argument is stupid.
Talk about blatant lying. 6 - 7 legendaries? Which adventures are those again? Bunch of epics? Like only Arcane Giant? Please if you don't have a solid argument don't inflate data in your favor because at this point your only insulting our intelligence. How did you like the "6-7" legendaries you got from Karazhan by the way? Only two saw a reasonable amount of play and they are near non-existent right now. Or is it just about having some legendaries in the collection.
You will be given free packs, login rewards and have time to collect gold before the expansion comes out. HS is a CCG ( Collectible Card Game), which means the game is about actually collecting the cards not just having them granted to you. Blizzard is making the right push because the current amount of cards isn't enough to sustain enough change especially during the adventure release period. Sure this hurts F2P some, but it is healthier for the game's longevity and Blizzard seems to be taking some steps towards making the game more viable for F2P players. Stop whining so much.
i dont get why people always talk like they want every card in every set (unless you are collector),why not craft what you want and play (grind) to get more gold and dust then craft another legendary when you get bored, why you should care about obtain boggie monster or noggenfogger ?
I was a player who always spent around ~60€ on the game throughout a year... I paid for the adventure with money, had ~11.000 gold for the expansions and paid an extra of ~20€ to get around 125-130 packs on each of them. This still meant I had to craft the majority of the playable legendaries and epics.
With the new change, the window to collect gold is half as big. I will have around ~5.500 to 6.000 and when paying an additional ~20€ on top of that, will be left with 75-80 packs per expansion. That's 50 less than before, for the same amount of money (60 per year). This will obviously also result in a lower dust revenue and in a shrinking variety of decks, I will be able to afford.
The game is definitely getting more expensive, not only for F2P players. I don't think the new login-rewards will be able to make up for the 50 pack loss.
I'm f2p since closed beta, only spent 20€ on BRM. Aside extra copies and nerfed cards, I've never disenchanted any card, even the bad ones.
I have pretty much all the cards I need and I still have 30k dust worth in extra copies. And no, I don't play Hearthstone like a no lifer, I used to play a lot more than I play nowadays.
Am I worried about 3 expansions a year? Not really. Blizzard said that they will introduce daily login prizes for a period of time, I'm guessing that will be an experiment and if that goes well it will probably be a permenant thing. We will prabably get some free packs every expansion and all that good stuff. I think Blizzard knows what they're doing.
Also, an adventure costs 3500g, that's already 35 packs for the expansion that we'll have instead of the adventure.
Of course if you only play like one or two games a day it will be impossible to make a good collection, people have the realise that you either spend money or time in the game. Nothing is for free.
I see some people saying because of the 3 expansions a year hearthstone will get expensive and it will be impossible for F2P players to get cards, but that not true, i'm only going to focus on legendaries for now since they are the most expensive to make. Your list is not entirely correct in my opinion.
GVG: You are correct.
TGT: I don't remember Aviana being used in any competitive decks to climb the ladder. Even confessor Paletress was more for fun. Before TGT came out, there was so much hype for Varian. He turned out not to be a staple in control warrior.
You are correct on Justicar. She was a staple card in control warrior, and was used in priest. Chillmaw was staple for dragonpriest. And Rhonin was used for Tempo Mage, although he wasn't 100% necessary, but it did improve the dec IMO.
WoTOG: Xaril saw play early in the expansion, but he fell out of favor midway through. Miracle Rogue just didn't cut it as one of the best decks for climbing ladder. I regret crafting him. Twin Emperor was only if you wanted to build a C'Thun deck, which was also not the best deck for climbing.
You forgot about Ragnoros Lightlord. He's still used today in murloc paladin.
Yogg-Saron was staple until he got nerfed.
You are correct on Fandral and N'zoth being staples in their respective decks, which were competitive.
MSoG:
You forget about Kazakus. He's used in reno mage, lock, and priest. Kaza and Raza are staple now, but when reno phases out next expansion, I am sure decks with no duplicate copies will become obsolete or less competitive. I wouldn't even waste my dust crafting them.
Patches is staple in every class with weapons. Aya Blackpaw is needed in some Jade Decks.

Comparing the rarities of the adventure cards to expansion cards is stupid af unless you buy adventures to dust all those cards.
