As told by many fellows, Secret Paladin is a quick way for ladder climb, therefore I started playing it to head for legend for about 2 months. As a matter of fact, I play other decks too, but Secret Paladin is my go-to deck for ladder climb, I use it 60% of time.
However, I have stopped playing it a few days ago because I found it kinda boring. People call the deck cancer but it is surely not super strong because you either: 1. do not have Mysterious Challenger in time; 2. have no board presence to unleash the power of Mysterious Challenger; 3. many players know how to play around secret. So I would call Secret Paladin a very decent deck which is easy to pilot, but not a problematic deck on ladder. All in all, with proper skills, other decks are not inferior to Secret Paladin by large margin. The win rate is more or less the same.
Now by quitting Secret Paladin completely, I found Hearthstone is super fun again (it was fun before), because I am experiencing with different decks for efficient ladder climbs.

I feel like we saw almost the exact same sentiment about Patron Warrior about a month before Warsong got the axe.
If you don't think the deck is super strong you're doing something wrong. The reason it is broken is because it has the fast-paced games aspect of Face Hunter, and the consistent-tempo of Mid-Range Paladin all at once making it the most efficient deck to climb with.
My perception comes from games beyond Rank 5. At lower rank, of coz it is very efficient.
I wonder what instinct leads people to play retarded decks more than a couple of weeks, greediness perhaps? Maybe you can tell us from your 2 months of experience.
So, You played it because you knew it was OP, until you got bored. Then decided you wanted a change, switched to aggro Shaman or Reno-Lock, and then made a thread about how you are reformed ... ok.
:P
SP is being found out, as I discovered today. There's tonnes of them in lower ranks, all stuck. Bad players are still bad, no matter the OP deck they try.
This is true. I was so tired of losing to secret paladins last season that I started just playing aggro druid. Made legend rank for the first time, and the deck I beat to get in? Secret Paladin. (feelsGoodMan)
you sound like a drug addict who is now clean haha
everyone can play whatever he/she wants to, if its secret pally so be it. i dont like calling decks "cancer" because everybody plays it. IRL everyone does the same, because nobody wants to stand out of the crowd, but in HS everyone wants to bragg with his ultra skill by playing non meta decks ... who cares? just play what gives you joy :D

Congratz m8 you got cured.I wish everyone follows your example.
good job amigo. you deserve a tshirt
The interesting thing is that the decks I find beat secret challenger are more cancerous like face shaman.
At least it gets you past turn 5... sometimes all the way to turn 8!

Same reason why I stopped playing Patron Warrior very early on
Good for you.
