Might have been your opponent's first time tackling the OwlTK deck, it's not the easiest to 'pilot' at first. Still, anytime it loses is a win for the game IMHO, so GG.
Surf and Turf - Task 9 from Cookie. Defeat 180 beasts. Even summoning fish before you defeat a group and summoning more when it is only fish, the quest is going to take an annoying amount of time.
This one ^^^ EASILY! got through it but boy was it NOT fun
Boring AF 2,2,2 players every other game, get original ffs
Also, ropers ... wtf?? you have THREE cards, even shoe size IQ players can handle this within seconds - is your plan to bore your opponents to death? nice strat
7 mages, all running pretty much identical decks and 1 priest in European top 8. I’m not sure any mage card is OP on it’s own but the synergy between them all is just off the scale. Why even risk running lunacy when you can just burn face turn after turn with ease.
Yup! Thijs played 3 flows to RDU's one, and it didn't matter, it was the synergy of what they drew after that made the difference - it certainly is a strong card played early but all classes have their OP cards
As if all classes don't have something considered 'OP' to those who never play them. Mage isn't OP, it's very beatable with the likes of Paladin [who has a bunch of annoying cards that could do with fixing] Hubter, Warrior, Priest, Rogue ... can all beat Mage if they draw good first
0-3 hours a day. The low side is much more usual, but I do get in the occasional HS groove. I play a lot while a basketball game is on a 2nd screen. Usually quests and Arena but occasionally constructed.
I'm always doing something else in the background too, would be boring AF if HS was all you did while playing. I will either be playing poker on side, watching some Netflix or the UFC ... whatever's on at the time, also maybe chatting to someone on FB. I do spend a lot of time in game I guess, too much perhaps! I'll swing between a few games of standard until I get frustrated as usual, or I'll play a few rounds of BGS, the games in BG are much longer but I enjoy them more
In short, about 3hrs per night, I don't start until late - I work during the day, then come home and do what needs be done, have dinner, clean up etc before I'll settle down at the PC
The only game that ever made me feel anything like this was world of tanks, and I'm certain it was because your win rate was always on display to other players. There's even sites where you can look up a break down of their overall stats ... I know many people who quit that game because of this. 'Better' players with higher stats would shame them in game for having a crappy win rate [anything below 48% is considered bad in WOT] It is one of the most obnoxious, elitist, try hard communities in gaming. The 'Hardcore' players constantly belittling and harrassing newer, less experienced or just plain bad players and forcing them out the game. The problem then is, all they are left with is other try hards, and someone has to be the less than 50% player eventually, so the cycle goes on -
I left the game because it wasn't worth stressing over. I had fun at start playing, didn't care about win rate or how many kills I got per game or how often i survived the battle until players started to berate me in the in-game chat, or on their atrocious forum where your win rate is also on display [image if your rank in HS was always on display? you'd possibly consider not posting for fear of ridicule!] I see people even berate players on here for hitting legend because they net-decked or used an 'OP' deck, like they didn't before changing to something else after try harding their way there! It's nothing near as bad as the shennanigans in world of tanks though to be fair
I say, if a game, any game, is stressing you out in any way, then drop it - just uninstall, it'll improve your mental health. Try other games, there's always something to suit, something that you will be relaxed and have actual fun with. I quit HS for almost 2 years, not because I was anxious playing it but because I got so bored and tired with it. I'm starting to feel that again ... if it weren't for BGs I'd just uninstall completely [side suggestion, get into Batlegrounds, you're still practically playing HS but it's a much more pleasant and laid back experience IMHO] I've dipped back into standard play but again I'm bored and irritated by it, same old spiel, a few try hard net decks shared by all, it's a matter of perserverance and nothing more to hit legend [currently at D5, swinging between there and D2, win 3, lose 4, win 2, lose 2 ... stalemate, I haven't the patience nor desire for that BS - it takes far too long for my liking, it took no time to get to D5 but then the game just gets frustrating, I'm meeting nothing but aggro Paladins, aggro Warrior and goddamn Priest! eurgh, they all seem to be bottlenecked at this point. [I'm playing different decks each time, don't stick to one only, maybe I should?]
I want to buy a Lamborghini with sesame seeds I’m not interested in paying $$$
Not even remotely a similar case, unless you're in a Lamborghini club where they allow you to rent or trade points you've accumulated against a new one. Don't get why people have to 'try' being smart @ss, we should be able to buy these crappy sets for gold. We've earned it through actual play, it is purely greed once again that they only sell them for cash.

Decided to give NA a try for a change, wtf are people doing spamming emotes at Bronze 5?? Yay, you won a game at the sess-pool end, go you!

It is the Warrior who benefits, it freezes their opponent not them.

My thought: this meta sucks baws.

Nothing has changed much, still all Pallys and Mage with the odd bore-fest Priest in Diamond

That's very often just one game, esp if that first game is Vs Priest! Laddering must be very slow

It's much like every other Hunter deck atm, and Viper did not come up with it originally

One of the most boring meta periods ever in the game for me, pen flinger deck into Lunacy BS, rinse repeat ...
