Ok everyone, I built a Control Paladin and am crushing everyone at the moment from ranks 8 to 5. I went on a 9-1 win streak so far. Before the Nerfs, I was at about 63% at 17-10 with a slightly different version. Give it a go if you like Paladin and Control decks. I put in Azalina Sunsorrow for the memes, but only played her 1 time in the 10 games so far, so feel free to replace her with any tech choice you want.
I don't wanna be that guy but the nerfs were yesterday and people are still testing out all sorts of decks, so the winrates can be pretty skewed if you know what you're doing, kinda like when Toast got to legend with some 90% winrate Shudderwock deck when the expansion was brand new, and we all know how most Shudderwock decks ended up turning out.

Bro, thx for proving my point about how strong this deck is right now. thats why i posted and shared it. the meta is different, and this deck CRUSHES at the moment. cheers mate!!

I'm a big Control Paladin fan, and I've used similar decks like this before. Problem with this kind of build is that you will always lose to other Control decks (Taunt Druid, Shudderwock Shaman, etc) who have a more solid win condition. The only way Control Paladin is even viable atm is using the OTK combo deck. Here is the one I used a while back, but haven't tested it post-nerf:
I just want to let you know that 17-10 is not enough games to show the true performance quality of a deck. Even if it was 25-2 it still wouldn't change my mind. There is an element to playing more than 100 games with a deck where you realize 1 of the 3 things.
1. Is it because the deck is good
2. Is it because the player is insanely lucky with a bad deck
3. is the deck pilot actually carrying a bad deck.
usually 100+ games with multiple people playing the deck can figure this out. Chances are you're sitting on 2 right now. There is a possibility that you're a god at hearthstone and 3 is the truth. But I strongly doubt 1 is the case because 1 is like secret pally before year of the kraken where literally a bad player can win with the deck with bad luck.

yah i noticed that win condition was weak with my previous version, so i includeded Val'nyr and Rotten Applebaums for more "push" early game. I will change it as needed.
At the moment however, its doing great and thats all I am claiming. Just sharing the love man. Peace out!!

guys, all im saying is its doing great right now. im not claiming its the second coming or anything of the sort. just sharing my love of the game, and of playing control paladin home brew decks. and winning against most of the meta. your the 3rd guy so far out of 5, who has tried to down play, and throw shade on my deck. jeez. lol, and by the way, its 9-1 since the nerf, and im just getting started!!!
Not throwing shade or anything, it's cool that your deck works, all I'm saying is that the meta is far from settling down just yet. If you're still winning a lot with it in a week or two then it's definitely working and it's a good deck after the nerfs. What I was trying to say is that whenever there's a big change in the game, people start experimenting with a lot of decks and not everyone is a good deck builder, so it's very easy to go on winstreaks with new decks, and that's why I used the extreme example of Toast's Shudderwock deck. 90% winrate is definitely meta breaking until it settles down and it ends up having just 40% winrate or so.
Just keep playing it, testing it out and having fun, but having success early on is hardly a proof for the test of time.

EDIT: Zola makes it more of an OTK ;)

Grats. Thought Uther of the Ebon Blade was unplayable when I was looking at HSreplay, but it's good that you are proving the data wrong.
Not sure if hyped yet.

Dead but dreaming
It is, but I think control paladin is weaker when lightlord rotated out from standard. I think control paladin is viable in wild with N'Zoth package.
