Maybe heal priest with Shadowboxer will actually be a thing (here's hoping) Imagine having a Shadowboxer on board and then at 10 mana playing Tournament Medic, Sacred Warrior and then using your hero power. Warrior becomes a 7/5 you heal either yourself for 4 or yourself for 2 and a minion between 1-2, and you do a little damage to the enemies minions or just their face (SMOrc) not fantastic, but it might be something that works out, especially since this is the only priest card we've seen so far.
It's a card you can put down turn 4 without losing your AOE. Soulpriest never felt right to drop on turn 4 without CoH or on an empty board.
3/5 is decent stats, especially for priests that like to heal. Meanwhile, when she attacks, she'll at least be a 5/5, meanign she can trade with, say, a loatheb while letting you heal up or heal another minion.
I'm seeing this as similar to dark cultist. Just a nice hp heavy card that let syou hold the board well with an effect that works well with other card but isn't NEEDED to make her work. She's nasty enough to where she can win if she stays long enough, given how easily priest can mass heal at times. She's hearty enough to require solid removal to take down. And she's not a heavy investment so that losing her doesn't mean too much. She's an awesome card!
Now here's a question: Could priest somehow combine sacred hero with Tournament Medic? Perhaps deathlord turn 3, Sacred turn 4, medic, coin, heal deathlord turn 5. You end up with a 2/8ish taunt, a 7/5, and a 1/8 along with healing yourself. Chinese priest on overdrive.
Too gimmicky. Anyways, Tournament Medic just won't work due to its ludicrous stats.
True. That's the basic issue with priest: needing too many combo pieces just for 'nice' things. Combos should be for big swings and what I described isn't a big swing.
And besides, deathlord+hero is more than fine enough.
This thread is mis-titled. The card's name is Sacred Warrior not Sacred Hero.
Also, I've seen some comparisons to Dragonkin Sorcerer and I'm not sure why. Their abilities are considerably different. Are people just saying that Sacred Warrior fills the 4 slot better in general? Because if so, then yes, I agree. If we're doing direct comparisons though, Burly Rockjaw Trogg is much closer in it's effect. Of course, Sacred Warrior still comes out on top in that comparison as well. Even moreso.
Edit: And now the card's name is Holy Champion! Blizzard's trying to make me look foolish! *shakes fist*
I am going the middle road with this card. I don't think that it is a gimmick crap but I also don't think that it is that amazing. It seems like a very valuable Arena card and like a "worth trying" constructed card. I really like the potential this card has while it doesn't sacrifice that much to play this card. Some people even called this card to much combo oriented and than talked about Auchenai.. You know that in fact this card instead of Auchenai would make Priest a bit less combo oriented. If you play this card just for the body or to lure out removal cards, it is better than Sen'Jin or Auchenai. The obvious drawback is that you lose one of your board clears but Priest has also Lightbomb, Pyromancer and Holy Fire.. So yeah, I think this card has potential. (You just mustn't see it as a combo card.. See it as an fat Sen'Jin with huge potential who is in the worst case just a Sen'Jin but in the best case a win)

Who can take your trash out? Stomp it down for you? Shake the plastic bag and do the twisty thingy, too?

You put this on the board on turn 4, unless your opponent is face hunter, he'll try anything to kill it.

So you played basically a Sen'Jin -> Didn't lose anything important.

This is a very good card, looking at how much priest heals. With CoH, Holy Nova, Light of the Naaru and maybe even Holy fire this is amazing. You shouldn't just completely focus on this card alone but as a great utility.
but for me this can replace shield master for anti black knight target this also can be good for two or three trade since this will be good bait for better thing come out for soul priest value can't compare AOE combo with a buff minion that focus on healing minions and hero ect
getting to the point so someone can understand better
this card would fit in prob priest combo since you have cabal shadow priest this card can be a good finisher which makes certain decks unique
people usually think is this value town " so bad it's very good for what it does"
This card is better than I ever gave it credit for. It's good enough on it's own stats to be played turn 4 and if it isn't dealt with, you can win the game off of it alone. I never saw a face hunter use a kill command for anything other than face or to break down taunt until I started to use this beast in my circle priest. Also it's nice to have a 4 drop that can take on giants. It makes the handlock match-up bearable without lightbomb (which is a little awkward in circle priest in my experience).
I would play this card just for the art. Looks so badass!

One does not simply walk into Mordor,
unless they want to be the best they can be.

No because of Circle of Healing.
