Where the heck are all the dragons too? Like if basically all the dragon synergy cards (including 2/3 of the dragons themselves) you put in the set have "if you're holding a dragon" on them, eventually you'll be down to the last dragon you can possibly have in your hand and not be able to trigger it's effect.
Strange in a set where they pushed dragon synergy somewhat they printed literally 1 card that is just a dragon to be interacted with and didn't have "if you're holding a dragon" on it.
Anyone getting TGT/Inspire vibes from a lot of the overkill cards?
I could be wrong but I feel like I'm seeing the same problem here as there was back then, things are either understatted or overcosted because the effect itself is overvalued. I've seen a lot of good cards this set but I feel like a lot of the overkill ones are gonna be some of the least played. Maybe blizz will pull some crazy support for it at the end but for now I'll remain sceptical.
For once I'm somewhat excited to see where the meta is gonna go when an expansion releases, no dustwood or 1 card boomsday releases, nothing super degenerate so far by the looks of it, and Blizzard finally learning their goddamn lesson with discard after repeatedly scrapping it and saying it will never work, and countless people reiterating to them, "just make it less random".
If any more discard cards appear I wouldn't mind one with a downside like "Discover up to 3 cards in your hand, discard one" whether it has an effect or is otherwise mildly overstatted.
Does Tracking really count? It doesn't have any interaction with cards that synergise with discard. In fact with the wording it has it neither works with discard nor draw interactions because it technically does neither.
Too slow for constructed play as you need to spend turns drawing it. Maybe make it a quest or something? "Overpowered" is part of the druid class identity and having this start in the opening hand would make the card represent the flavor of this class better. Having issues such as winning cards being in the bottom 5 should only be a mage or priest thing
As someone who only played Launch HS to TGT but still keeps up with the game, that flavor must be a new thing. Worst druid did in that era was FoN/savage roar, and you could at least play around that with taunts and healing, given druid had no viable hard removal then.
Insanely overrated. The cards is good but not so good to be 75% Meta-Defining and 95% Very Good+. Since the order is random, it doesn't guarantee an OTK no matter how you build the deck. The only practical application is probably a Shaman version of Jade Druid, where you shuffle new Shudderwocks into your deck each turn, but such decks are usually very good only against fatigue decks.
"It doesn't guarantee no matter how you build the deck" This just kinda proves my point that people who say "X Archetype will never work" don't know what they're talking about. Like most people you kinda forgot Murmuring Elemental was a thing, and with a lot of failed archetypes with some thought behind it, cards could be printed to make them work.
Gonna add more as I scroll through the thread.
"Joke archetype will never work. So many meta defining votes of people who preordered trying to convince themselves they have made a good decision..."
The smart people on this forum voted The Darkness to be meta defining. Lolz.
Edit: That's actually all of the naysayers I noticed on the forum, better than HP's track record with stuff like this, gonna check the comments now. Wow, not a single negative comment on the card page. Either the comments weren't up until it was already demonstrated or the forum posters are way more inclined to be negative.
A half-decent way of making Inspire less terrible is just giving it to minions with low attack, high health (and make the effect useful of course). So they can actually stick on the board and you don't have to play them only if you can get a Hero Power IMMEDIATELY afterwards.
So my internet cut out for a few days, and I couldn't access the site for two days, as well as not being able access it in the next 5 am I screwed out of "That's just crazy"?
Ooh, nice to see a new rogue deck with Edwin in it, hopefully he works out, he always was one of my favourite rogue tools but he seems to have all but dropped out of play recently.
Sorry to interrupt the thread but that doesn't work 9 mana for aviana + 1 for Krush = 10 you're left with 0 mana + 1 from the coin isn't enough because windfury costs 2.

Everyone's making Shredder comparisons meanwhile my first thought was "mini Cairne Bloodhoof"
Remember when that effect was legendary, and good enough for a lot of decks?

Long overdue for a text update tbh.
