You can't harass members who play Face Hunter, nor are they compelled to make preemptive apologies or justifications for playing it. They don't hack or crack their opponents' game, they simply play existing cards that form a specific deck. If you suck at countering Face Hunter, you should blame the designers, not the community.
Turn 4 with 2 totems makes it 6/6, makes it quite strong. I like how they made shaman stronger
Turn 2 totem, turn 3 totem, lol, are you for real?
Not really that far fetched if you have no other 2 or 3 drop, but you got a Totem Golem (which you are bound to save in a mulligan). Totem Golem --> Hero Power --> Draenic Totemcarver.
I would definately play the 2 mana 3/4 with 1 overload, because very little will wipe it off the board on turn 2.

That's just one card, other totems at turn 2 and 3 are not going to give you anything except sparing some dmg to the face opp spends on killing totems. 3 turns with totems and 6/6 on turn 4 (assuming totems will live, what is not likely) is a horrible start.
I am not saying it is a good plan, but are you really saying that you never find yourself in matches where you generally have a shitty hand to begin with? Totemic Golem gives you the ability to keep at least one totem alive to turn 4, in which a 4 mana 5/5 is worth it.
I am not talking about ideal hands and perfect mulligans. I am talking about how to handle horrible games, and quite frankly, looking at some of the shaman cards, there will be extra focus on totems. I can see the carver work since it is also a decent 4 drop to fit in the shaman slot.
I think the viability of this is all dependent on what else we haven't seen yet out of the class cards. I do think it's most likely a 5/5 w/ the Totem Golem, but even that surmises that it can live long enough to buff this.
a good player will always clear your totems. this card sucks
It's hard to control totems at times and Shaman is getting new totem cards as well...Most times you'll be able to drop this with 2 totems on the field which makes this a 4 Mana 6/6 without a Overload...This card is on par or slightly better then Fireguard Destroyer. Overall it's a strong card and will see plenty of play...Also very strong in Arena.
People are comparing this to [card]Frostwolf Warlord[/card] but it actually serves a different role. This is more likely a tempo-ish card. A 5/5 body on turn 4 is much stronger than a 5/5 body on turn 5 because it will be trading against typical turn 5 plays like Sludge Belcher. It may see some play.
I love the new Totem interactive cards, and I can't wait to be playing Totem shaman.
With that said though, I'm not sure if this is going to be a contender for the deck. I mean, even though it could be a 4 mana 5/5 or 6/6 or whatever, there are probably more useful cards to put into the deck.
It's very possible that I'm wrong, but... I don't know, doesn't seem too great. We'll have to see what other Totem synergistic cards are going to be released though, there might be some spell that summons multiple Totems or something, then this thing might be useful.
No, I'm saying I won't even play it. Not for the sake of situation when I will be forced to go only totems for 3 turns, hoping they won't die. To sum up: bad hand - I want something else, because 4/4 is not helpful, I'd rather have Shredder as my first card played in the game than this, good hand - I can think of tons of better cards.
Stop evaluating this card in a vacuum Tuskarr Totemic and Totem Golem have already been announced. There's obviously going to be a Totem tribal with individually strong Totem cards.
If shredder is better, this card won't see much play. But if we get many good totems, this could be like 8/8+ for 4 mana and win you games if opponent doesn't draw BGH. Can also be cheap BGH bait so your big guys are safe.
Why didn't Blizzard realize already that what shaman need isn't minions with high stats...FFS just give us minions with useful battlecrys. The only reason shaman cards are looking good/interesting is because of how few cards we have seen. All these cute totems get blow up with an AOE and with the horrible card draw of shaman you are done ,we need to get value from our minions even if they get killed.
"Battlecry: Gain +1/+1 for each friendly Totem."

All we're missing is a legendary totem..
mfw his Yogg steals my win
I always knew Shaman needed a less flexible class version of Frostwolf Warlord

It's an awesome card. It comes out faster than Frostwolf Warlord. It's a tempo play! Shaman totem decks are hype
Check here for my new cards!Pokemon HS class! All the Pokemon as HS cards!

It can easily be a 5/5 on turn 4. Its not an awesome card, but i think it will be playable.

We're missing that Muster for Battle-like card for totems: summon three random totems.

Its a weird Frostwolf Warlord... maybe will be usefull for arena?

Meta changes the moment you switch your deck.

This card looks weak now but I think we'll be seeing more totem synergy cards in the coming days that will make it viable.

It will mostly be a 5/5 for 4-mana on turn 4. I think it is slightly superior to Fireguard Destroyer but still inferior to Piloted Shredder.
Edit: For this card to be actually good we need a mass totem summoning card like Muster for Battle.
