if this guy uses up the last charge of Sword of Justice is it possible that he would just return the weapon to your hand at that point? or is it an order of operations violation? does the battlecry go off before the sword does? i think that the minion triggers before the sword buff happens, but i want to check with others and see what you guys think.
Would be great if legendary weapons were great, but...
What about Pirate Warrior grabbing an extra Arcanite Reaper after smashing you twice with their first one?
8 mana for a third Arcane Reaper in a deck that if it didn’t kill you by turn 8 probably lost... not so sure.
Fair enough, but my bigger point is that maybe you want to bring back an existing weapon, not just a legendary. Is it worth 3 Mana to get another Truesilver Champion, Eaglehorn Bow, Rallying Blade? Maybe. Depends on the rest of your deck.
If you're playing rogue you can only use it if you've avoided your hero power all game, otherwise you might spend three mana to put the stupid "wicked knife" in your hand.
I almost think this is okay in Control Paladin. But Control Paladin is not good. And there are almost certainly 29 better cards to play in that deck. I almost never vote "dust" but I will here...b/c it's epic, and the dust actually matters.
Blingtron 3000 is now OP OP. Bling now reads give each player a random weapon - draw 5 cards, gain 5 armor, deal 5 damage, summon a 5/5 and make your opponents finger press conceed. Not bad for a turn 4 and 5 three card combo
This card is 3 mana draw a targeted card. 2/2 stats would have been a better distribution, but in a deck with a specific weapon you want back, this is still strong value. So far I think it makes sense with Atiesh, DK weapons, Ashbringer and Sulphuras. It might work with some of the new legendary weapons as well.
Counter-counter. This card is a must run in all legendary-weapon decks so that when every opponent is running Ooze, and your fancy new weapon gets destroyed, you can bring it back.
Weapon removal counter? This tech card will see play at first but it will eventually fall off. I mean it could work really well in Paladin (who has great weapons) and other classes that only have legendary weapons but ultimately its a slow card and will fade away like Black Knight or BGH... playable but ultimately bad.
I am imagining a Jin warlock with medivh and this to let you cheat tempo out of the seal rituals. Warlock has insane board clear options especially with medivh.
does it work with non collectable weapons? i assume yes but blizz dont like to generate non coll stuff molten blade dont transform in ashbringer i guessing it dont work with this guy too.

Why wouldn't it? If you used the weapon and it was destroyed, you would be able to add it to your hand.
Think of it like using Dead Man's Hand to add the treasure from Marin the Fox into your deck. Those are collectible but once in your hand, they act like any other card in the game. Also the Un'Goro pack form Elise and Shadow Visions.

The stats and cost are awful. a 1/3 cost 3 mana card is almost unplayable.
However, the effect is not Terrible. getting something like a Atiesh or a legendary weapon might be pretty good.

Cool concept with legendary weapons, but it'll probably only see play in aggro pirate decks
Confirmed

New Paladin Epic!

thank god I haven't dusted medivh.

can imagine this being good once the meta sets in.. lots of new weapons etc.
I think you are undervaluing the targeted nature of this cards draw. Some cards enable decks to be possible.
