It seems like more of a late game value generator card, despite his low cost. If weapons turns out to be insane, you'd definitely wouldn't mind playing this+the weapon on turn 10.
Definitely not for something like pirate warrior. (or any aggro imo)
Why do people think this will be so good for Paladin? Is it really worth spending 8 mana for a 5/3 or 11 mana for 5/3 w/ lifesteal (can't even play in one turn!)? And both are legendary, meaning this card is dead in you hand until you draw and play one of those cards and exhaust the weapon.
Playable in the right deck. Not playable (obviously) in Rogue. I'm not sure if this belongs in decks that run their legendary weapon, although maybe you run 1x as a counter tech if weapon removal becomes the meta?
IMO this is comparable to Tomb Lurker or Shallow Gravedigger, but I think better than Gravedigger because you really don't want a 3-drop that can be pinged off. In terms of power level this is probably on par with Acolyte but maybe slightly worse since you can't really play it on 3 in most cases.

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
Seems good but because Aggro players are going to ruin the meta like they do every single time. It is going to be too slow after the meta is settled into senseless aggro trash.
Maybe Deadmans warrior can use it, after Raza the Chained rotates out and priest loses its otk and goes back to control then we might see it in Highlander list because Dragon Soul is only 3 mana. It also has a problem of being a dead card until after you play a weapon.
If only weapon is Medivh's weapon in your deck (like some control warlocks and some mages), this should be good. You can get Atiesh back to get extra value from it. I don't think playing a 1/3 is bad for warlock, as it might even activate some Defile shenanigans.
You can get your legendary weapon back in priest, as tempo is the last thing the class cares about.
Getting either Atiesh or legendary weapon should be good for Druid too.
If you're playing warrior, rogue, paladin, hunter, shaman, you don't play this card obviously.
I could see this as a one of in control warrior/paladin based on if the legendary weapons are good or not. Shadowmourne, Grave Vengeance, and Ashbringer all are great things to get back and have extra copies of so maybe but It'll depend on what exactly the new weapons are. If they're bad this might still see some play.
It is not a card you would play on curve, so the "bad" stats are irrelevant.
It is not a card you would play in a deck with several weapons. You want it to guarantee one specific insanely good weapon.
Exactly. However, I wonder if you even want to do that? It seems greedy beyond belief for most decks. If you obtained any value out of your insanely good weapon the first time, how necessary is it to play it again in most instances?
I don't think the card is very good, but it has some interesting ramifications for Arena if you can get a weapon too. For that reason, I'm happy it was printed.

Yeah sure the meta is full of aggro decks. Oh look, there aren't aggro decks in T1, how is this possible?

I think most control decks care alot about those big weapons. Like Ashbringer and Shadowmourne which both are great to have again and again. Maybe it could be used as a way to "burn" them with massive swings. I play alot of paladin and multiple Ashbringers really is a game changing thing since you now are able to cut them down with massive 5 damage swings.
My first thought with the legendary weapons was that they would never be played because weapon removal is a thing... this gets around that to a degree so maybe you can play the weapons?
It's kind of funny that people think this card is bad. If it isn't obvious that every deck in the game is gonna have to run two ooze one harrison then it makes sense. But that is reality since blizzard made these legendary weapons for every class. The worst part is that they are actually good barring the druid one(even the shaman one could be good if control shaman gets more support; hint they nerfed hex for a reason). The problem with weapon removal is that they didn't hit every deck but now they most certainly will barring everyone playing jade druid which i'll admit could honestly happen.

I think it could be good in Control Warrior.

They are quite costly thought. 7 mana 5/3, and 9 mana 4/3
No words between man and lion
