has potential in overload shaman, you can summon the dreadful 4 mana 7/7 which also has synergy with the new card that upgrades when you overload, might also be played alongside the 2/8 taunt.
Seems like a decent card for shaman, also has synergy with evolve.
Might be playable: problem is, it's too good to be called bad, but too bad to be called good. The stats are horrible, and recruit a minion for 4 or less seems too random for this. Why not simply play a 4 mana minion? Still... it's better than the warrior spell by miles.
Definitively not: Bonemare is a 7 mana 9/9, this might be better but often much worse. It does NOT say: summon a minion with (4); you might also summon a minion with much lower cost. In the best it's a 1 mana 2/4, but much more random.
Bonemare is only so good because it's reliable, this isn't.

The best is better than a 1 mana 2/4. It is a 1 mana 2/4 if it summons a vanilla 4 mana card (or a 4 mana card with reasonable stats/effect). If you use it to summon a 3 or 4 mana card that has a battlecry with a downside like Injured Blademaster or Pit Lord you are effectively getting more than 4 mana worth of value for the summoned card, thus making the 2/4 recruiter essentially 0.
That being said, I agree that it is no bonemare. To get the maximum value off this, you have to build your deck around it or risk pulling a bad target from your deck. Bonemare can plug and play in most decks and is just absurd value all around.
So the problem is in the best case you get 4/5 of stats with this which is best case 4 mana (ludicrious things like pit lord aside) this is a 5 mana 2/4 vanilla that should be around 2 mana. So in the absolut best realistic case you get 1 mana value out of this.
In constructed the only place i can see this is control shaman draw you 7/7 out of your deck.. but we don't know how recruit works so if it's like discover or just random it won't be in agro decks too unreliable.
Does go well with probably Mid-Demon Warlock + Pit Lord since there are not many amazing 4 drops.
That would be true, except it's 4 or less. if it was only 4 cost minions than this would be OPOP, pit lord as you said, 4 mana 7.7... could very well see play in those decks... as it is. maybe you can build something out of shaman with it... especially with evolve.
So I can play this to get a 2/4 + 1/1. Or I could play Dragonling Mechanic instead. Barnes is way stronger than this and even he doesn't see play in many decks.
You aren't giving to put this in a deck with many 1/1 minions. If you're you low-cost minions either have decent stats, a negative battlecry, or a good deathrattle then this can be a solid play.
Recruit is also different than. "create a copy" in that, as was said before, it thins the deck. Removing a low cost minion probably helps because you're keeping likely to want it in the late game.

What is wrong with warrior spell? It is real and on full health Ysera or Deathwing or Lich King or Grommash on t6-t5, can be quite playable in BIG control warrior

also it thins your deck.
Idk, but this seems broken with 3 mana 4/7. So is it a random or discover?
evolve shaman maybe?
or is it not worth it at all?

this is the type of thinning that can be controlled, very strong in arena
Really interesting card, especially since it's a neutral common so everyone gets to have a go with it!
Could be the new Bonemare??
Flamewreathed Faceless :O
ultimately, its acceptable in a hand buff pally where you pull the 3/2 charger with life steal.
Already see potential with cards like Injured Blademaster Lakkari Felhound Flamewreathed Faceless and Drakkari Defender.

I doubt this will be worth the effort.

A card you have to think when deckbuiding instead "auto-include-in-anything" like Bonemare?
Keep going good design cards. :)
