when has control ever dominated the meta? last time i checked aggressive decks have always dominated this game. and not to mention mid shamans 30% metashare before this expansion....
Yeah, and if aggro had a counter wouldn't that be healthier for the game? Every deck type should have a counter, and the reason that we've only had short control metas and long aggro metas is because of the same issue I'm talking about and the same one you are arguing against: Every type should have a counter, and in this game that's not the case. Back when we had control metas BGH kept them in check. We need counters like that for all deck types in my opinion. (Also, control did dominate the meta at times in the first year or two)
Mid range decks counter control decks. not this jade crap. you beat control by putting on solid pressure and out grinding them, not playing infinite jade golems. its a stupid design that the majority of this community is fine with, because they all play mid and aggro which is decent vs this new jade/control deck.
If you want to be able to 50/50 a matchup you should be able to tech in order to do so. this is seen vs the pirate meta right now.
tell me, how do you tech pure control vs jade druid? you don't. this is unhealthy. No card game should have an infinite card deck, its not rocket science.
THE problem is for controls decks not for aggro, how the fuck are control decks going to win against jade idol? You really want gigantic counter to control decks? With this machanic we will never have a control meta
I currently run 2 Thoughtsteal and 2 drakonid operative in my priest - so in the end with a little bit of luck i can just go for the jade idol myself if i wanna play the control game - and if you have entomb you can also take aya blackpaw etc...

As a control Player, you have to adapt the usual playstyle. Against a Jade Druid deck, control is also the beatdown, because Druid will inevitably outvalue Control decks. So as a general strategy: Play for tempo and not for value.

Unlikely, since you lack the carddraw that Druid has. If you Shuffle three Idols in your deck, you draw a 1 mana 1/1, then a 1 mana 2/2 and another Card for shuffeling Idols in your deck. That will most certainly f** up your draws. I don't say your Card choices are wrong (you know better than anyone if it fits your deck), but only that you will not be able to compete with Druid in a Jade Golem race, no matter how many jade Cards you can thoughtsteel.

and you still lose... because when you try to mimic the jade idol mechanic you dont have the gadgetzan auctioneer to get rid of all the useless stuff and the druid himself have started using jade idols before you and therefore have the upperhand.
i say useless because it really is. everything else in the jade druid deck is just to burn every other card and draw a shit load of jade idols and lets not forget that they play so many spells that they actually get two 0 mana 8/8.
I'm not particularly salty about this archetype since i play it myself but the thing is that is not good for the meta that 1 deck can single hadedly extinguish every other control deck. you either play jade, aggro to counter jade or reno to counter aggro, i mean there is not much left to play but still better than the last meta where you could just use midrange shaman or a direct counter to it.
One question to the jade idol players in particular - how many gadgezan auctioneers do you play normally?
because in most games i only see one in the enemy deck - and therefore it shouldnt be unwinnable if you manage to kill that guy which often will most likely happen
i mean your deck also should have a win condition - and therefore trading for ages will not win you the game - but thats the same if you play against hunter and dont have lifegain - if you trade until the end of time their heropower will kill you

You have to have a win condition other than fatigue, Kun, C'thun beats jade, freeze mage beats jade, taunt warrior can beat jade, Renolock with combo can beat jade.

I'm not taking about a type countering a type, I'm talking about cards that you can add to a deck to counter a certain deck type. The same thing you seem to like, but don't like in this instance for some unknown reason.
Cards like Jade Idol force players to play their deck differently in different matchups, which is something this game really needs.
There's nothing wrong or unhealthy with having an infinite card deck in a card game. It's not rocket science.
I have played 12 games aggainst jade druid with my control warrior and I have been 5-7, so a bit unfavorable.. but 12 games is nothing to have a solid statement about win%.. but i don't face a lot of jade druids these days as they were in the beggining of the meta, I have been facing more aggro warrior, aggro shaman, and renolock, and have been destroying aggro and being favored aggainst renolock..
I do get what people say about the matchup aggainst jade druid, the longer the game goes, the slower your chances are.. but games are usually decided way earlier than fatigue, so the issue is only if you will have good draws to be able to preassure the druid enough.. since the warrior has to become the aggressor, and mine warrior is not greedy as it used to be on the previous meta..

Of course it is wrong. It's nice in games like MTG, but in those games your opponent can
a) Sideboard
b) Interfere with your turn
HS' game mechanics is an idiotic place for such a card.
I'd be surprised if we didn't see a patch of Auctioneer down the road. That's the card that is going to be targeted.

I don't see how sideboarding and interfering with your turn changes how this card should have been implemented. Not having those mechanics does not make this mechanic unhealthy for Hearthstone. Hearthstone doesn't have a sideboard, which is precisely why cards like this are needed. I've played enough card games (some with sideboards and some without), and I have yet to come across a game that had a punishment for running out of your deck where a similar mechanic was unhealthy.
Nah, doesn't need a nerf on second thought and after playing quite a few Jade Druids. If you are aggressive against Jade Druids they won't even have a chance to fully utilize Jade Idol. Doesn't have to be a aggro deck per se just something you can be aggressive enough to keep the tempo up and take down their HP whilst having some removal for the two 5/10 taunts they have.

Dude, do you even read what you write before posting them on the internet? Card games are by their very definition resource wars. Having infinite resources for only one side/class is definitely both wrong and unhealthy for the game.
In short, don't be retarded. There's a reason if people can't put less or more than 30cards in their deck.

Bad players whine.
Good players adapt.
Is there a way to prevent certain threads from popping up on my front page? I'm kinda getting sick of seeing this one every day :I

In rank 5 I don't see any druid, it is priest (dragon or Reno), renolock, shaman and warrior aggro.
When a card or deck really need nerf you don't see anything else.
