I just got cruul from package (which i bought with 100g) is card good or not? and what is its purpose? tempo/miracle rogue format? warrior?druid? or something else?
Gruul, yeah he's pretty good, I like him for my giant decks (warlock/paladin mostly) I'll through him down before rag usually because it forces my opponent to use removals quick because of his ability, then throw a couple of molten giants or w/e with a sunfury protector.
Gruul is a decent "big guy" that poses a threat to your opponent, and obsoletes cards ike War Golem
Yet he is flat out worse than Ragnaros, Alexstrasza, Ysera or other competing cards. The 3 cards I mentionned have the same role, but perform it better.
I found him to be pretty good in Naxx so far. They just can't kill him. Other than that he doesn't see much play. I'd keep him unless if you really need a card for a deck.
Blood mage thalnos is good in a lot of decks, however, if you don't already have them, I suggest Cairne, Ysera, Alexstrasza, ragnaros, or sylvanus as all of these are the best legendaries and can go in most decks. Thalnos is unnecessary as he can be replace with Kobold Geomancer or loot horder
If you wanted a big fat dummy in your deck you would just play boulderfist ogre. 2 less mana and doesn't die to BGH. Gruul is just too expensive for what he offers you.

I'm so glad there is prejudice against playing hunter/zoo/[insert FotM deck here]. People like that make the life so much easier for those of us who play to win.
It's a decent minion to play in large taunt decks such as Handlock, once you've already got 2 big taunts down, making Gruul considerably harder to remove, and even if they manage to, it means they don't remove your double molten golem, or something on like that.
The rest of your post makes sense and is good advice so don't take this the wrong way, but that statement is completely wrong. Handlock can play 8/8s for 0-4 mana, why would you want an 8 mana 8/8? Not to mention that if you have taunted double molten giant you don't need Gruul to win.

thanks for the reply :) Certainly when it comes down to decks I'm not too familiar with, I'm bound to make incorrect statements due to lack of knowledge, thanks for correcting me ^.^ I guess I went under the wrong assumption that Handlock taunts up and stuff later on in the game, around the time that Gruul also goes down. All I know is that as a Zoo main, I get my ass kicked by Handlock every time... e.e
Learn the health breakpoints, Mountain Giants or Twilight is T4, Molten + Sunfury is (health left between 10 and 20) +2. So if you attack a 14 health WL for 1 that will have 5 mana in his turn, you are in for a taunted Molten. If he is going to have 6 mana, you are in for double the pain thanks to life tap.

Terrible card, I would dust him asap if you need cards.
^^^
looks great on paper but does not have the impact you'd expect. don't use him
Bad card, definitely consider dusting him if u are in need of dust.

He makes a good substitution if you're copying a decklist and you're missing a big finisher like ragnaros, aside from that he's too low impact.
