We remove the word "friendly" from Resurrect and Eternal Servitude, this would force themto play Onyx Bishop if they want to resurrect friendly minions and bishop would mess with their res pools, since servitude is a discover there would still be a chance to get big minions from it.
And yes, i just got bmed to the core by a big priest.
I second any nerf to Wild Big Priest, wishing a more serious Priest build to emerge instead (Highlander Priest?) but i am afraid it will never happen...
I agree the real problematic cards are the Resurrection ones: they are incredibly mana efficient for what they can do.
the biggest problem with big priest is Barnes. The fact that they can take a 1/1 lich king/ragnaros/etc. and turn it into two 8/8's next turn is the root issue. The resurrection pool should take into account the stats of a minion when it's resurrected. A 1/1 should come back as a 1/1.
I agree with this idea. So sick of trying to play any type of board-based deck and then getting high-rolled into oblivion by this stupid deck. It's the exact same issue as Naga Sea Witch in that you either tech for it or become an irrelevant deck. Thankfully for now Dreadscale + Poisonous is a very real possibility as a Zombeast which is the only way I've ever come back from a T4 Barnes outside of them being dumb enough to run the 1/1 into a Freezing Trap.
Yeah I'm with you, for the longest time I've found Big Priest to be the worst archetype ever created by Blizzard in hearthstone. The most auto-pilot deck ever created, that either completely hoses the player or opponent based on it's own draw RNG. Turns the game into cow-clicker, neither players is really playing a game at all.
I don't really care how they change it, but if they ever get round to it, i'm in favour of any change, personally i'd "nuke from orbit".
Those cards should just cost more, same goes for Recruit. Team 5 has a dysfunctional view of cards that interact with a player-defined pool in that they overrate the downside of building your deck around the effect. These are the same idiots who made Barnes and then made support for spell hunter resulting in the broken mess of Y'Shaarj being the only other minion in the deck.
TL:DR Cards that can pull 'any' minion need to have a cost that presumes the deck will include only high-value minions and not just random ones.

That would kill an entire archetipe, its like printing "cant target heroes" on Fireball (making exodia useless), there are way bigger problems in wild than big priest.
lol this aint a nerf, its killing the deck, Barnes should be the one getting nerfed, maybe increase its cost to 6. its still problematic, but other things should be ressurect cost could go up to 4 mana, and eternal servitude to 6 mana. this would stop stuff like turn 10, rag or lich king followed by a ressurect of 2 mana. i mean with barnes on curve u can actually get Yshaarj into obsidan staute etc and if they die, u can with 6 mana play eternal servitude and ressurect on turn 5 if u have the coin, imagine that. big priest nature shouldnt be nerfed but its mana costs should.

Yes, Barnes is the issue with Big Priest that makes the deck unfun to play against (and, in my opinion, unfun to play with). Proof is the fact that Resurrect Priest in standard is quite balanced and fun to play. And no, the resurrection pool should not take into account the stats of the minion, simply because, for example, if you damage an Ultrasaur to 7/1 before killing it, should Ultrasaur always be resurrected as a 7/1 instead of the glorious 7/14 we know and love?
There have been multiple ideas towards "solving" the Barnes issue in resurrect Priest and the best idea already came out a long time ago. If you read Barnes' flavor text you notice that it says "He used to play every part until Moroes confiscated his Orb of Deception". So wny not Barnes summoning himself as a 1/1 with the effect of a minion in your deck? Or, since he's an actor, why not summon another actor with the effect as an enchantment (they can even put some nifty effects on the summoned minion to make sure it's not an actual mini Ragnaros the Firelord that's on the board)? That way the resurrect pool includes a 1/1 vanilla minion or 2 Barnes' in it.
Fellow secret Hunter I understand your plights and I agree, fuck this deck.
I purpose that both resurect and Eternal servitude should summon exact copies of the minion that died after which I think the archetype would still be decently strong.
I feel like we could easily direct the salty defensive big priest 'players' to the salt thread, honestly. 'Players' being a loose phrase - you guys could quote Dr Boom, "Don't make me push buttons", cause that is what you turn hearthstone into, push end turn, hope for the best on the draw, and win immediately or sit there and do nothing for six turns and die cause you didn't draw/mulligan well. What fun!

I agree with that change with Resurrect. It is too cheap for what it does and it makes revive big minions too easy. Eternal Servitude should cost 5 or 6 but same effect. The ability to control what you revive is nice but it is just too cheap now. Barnes could cost 6 with same effect or something different to address Big Priest.
Even a change to Barnes would be great. The problem is that Big Priest can easily win games just by playing one card and revive the same big minions over, over, and over.
And there's a deck called Big Priest, which capitalizes on 2016's most flawed design apart from perhaps Jade Idol. How about you at least try to defend this monstrosity instead of shitting out a reply as overdone as the small indie company meme?

Thanks to Raza nerf, they destroyed the only other maybe viable deck
