Been playing Hearthstone since mid last year and been going through standard ever since. However wild mode seems more fun with ridiculous combos and etc. Is it good for the long term??
Long term Wild is a better investment since you can keep playing your cards forever vs Standard. Most of the staple cards right now are also very cheap to craft (aside from Dr Boom and Loatheb, there mostly Commons and Rares).
It's actually not too expensive to get into Wild, Dr. Boom is a must have but besides him, all the most powerful staple cards from GvG and Naxx are common or rare.
Yeah, wild is more fun then standard. But...no jades and pirates? Are you kidding me? The pirate warriors are more cancer because of ship cannon and jade druids are also there if you climb a bit higher. But there are less of both then in standard, that's true.
Yes, wild is where the fun begins. No pirates no jade druids. Also there is not much decks for wild here on hearthpwn so netdecking isnt often in wild
unfortunately that's not true: if you are between Rank 25 and 10, the wild ladder is full of standard decks like jade druid, reno lock, pirate warrior... people maybe don't want to concentrate a lot and don't want to waste ranks in standard, so they try to complete quests playing in wild with top tier standard decks. Really annoying.

Eternal formats are intended for players who wish to invest in the game over the long term. The draw back to eternal formats is that they become quite static - the decks which dominate Vintage MtG haven't substantially changed in over twenty years, and new sets might introduce only a handful of cards which can impact the format. Currently, Wild mode in HS has fewer cards than Standard MtG - it will take a few years before the format shakes out, and dominant decks begin to emerge which will become the pillars of the format. Reno (and Kazakus, and Bran) and N'Zoth (and Belcher, and Sylvanas) appear to have the kind of power level which might define the decks which dominate Wild for the next decade or more, so if you have those cards, you'll probably do fine over the long term.
To me Wild is much more fun, and it's only going to continue to get better and better. The sheer amount of synergies available means that you can make some really fun decks.
Wild can be fun and if they decide to make it a competitive format it could be worth investing in, however if that happens they will have to balance certain decks and that means nerfs, so I'd be careful what you buy.
After Un'goro releases I see 2 decks becoming a little bit WAY TOO POWERFUL: Mill Rogue and Deathrattle Priest. The two quests they'r giving these decks takes them from top tier to almost completely unbeatable, so if anything buy un'goro if you want to play wild.
Speculation yes but it doesn't take a brain surgeon to recognize the synergy with these quests and existing strategies.

How the rogue quest will make mill rogue unbeatable ? lol

Ok so clearly you are unfamiliar with the format so I'll explain this.
Mill rogue is a very good deck in wild. The format is slower and heals are better and it beats most control decks and tempo decks. Freeze mage probably not but w/e. The deck runs on Coldlight Oracle and Gang Up. These create copies and a ton of draw, which is what you need to get the quest to happen. It is very easy to play 4 of the same minion in this deck. If you don't think the deck will be good then don't play it but it will be very good. Nothing is unbeatable, fine.
I am familiar with the format, i only play wild. But mill rogue win condition is killing you with fatigue damage, making your coldlight oracle 5/5's is just a bonus it's not that powerful in this deck.
Fatigue is only one way to kill the opponent, the main strategy of the deck is control. Being able to have on demand 2-3 mana 5/5s for most of the game is pretty strong even if all you're doing is trading with them. It builds up fast. I obviously can't know what will happen but I've played against that deck a good deal and if you really do only play wild you know it can win with minions if it gets control of the board.
My point for OP anyway was what to use dust on if he decides to get into wild. Imo that's deathrattle (reno, n'zoth, awaken) priest and mill (cavern) rogue.
I personally find wild to be quite enjoyable. Whilst there has been some leakage of pirate Warrior, mainly due to [Ship's Cannon] , the amount of variety of decks is nice to enjoy. I feel this will only get better with the card rotation and entrance of new sets in the year of the Mammoth.

Favorite Cards: Deathwing, Dragonlord, Ysera, Sindragosa, Chillmaw, Netherspite Historian, Kel'Thuzad, Elise Starseeker, Reno Jackson, Lorewalker Cho, Neptulon, Duplicate & Echo of Medivh
Anyway craft ragnaros and sylvanas if you have the dust before next extension : you will get the dust back and can keep the cards.
There is no cancer deck in hearthstone ! You are the Cancer !

You should craft these neutrals before anything else: Sludge Belcher Deathlord Haunted Creeper Mad Scientist Zombie Chow Antique Healbot Piloted Shredder.
Yes, if you plan to play Wild - I would do it!
-let´s negotiate: you concede and I let you live...
Yes!
Here is some stuff that you should know if you're thinking about transitioning to wild: https://hearthstoneplayers.com/running-wild-guide-wild-format/
I dont play boom in each wild deck. Shredder is outclassed as well
I switched to wild 3 month ago and found it more interesting and fun than standard. There are more options and deck diversity.
All cards are balanced, but some cards are more balanced than others.

I play Wild every season to rank 3-4 ( reno mage ) , its much more entertaining than standart atm.
