I didn't face a lot of evolve shaman, but it felt like a really shitty matchup. I think you pretty much need to dodge evolve, because the deck just can't handle a doppelganster evolve turn. You can't really go all out face either because you get wrecked by flametongue if you don't trade. I don't know, probably try to pressure the shaman into reactive turns while still trying to keep the board fairly clear.
I got legend this month (yesterday) had a fairly easy time, didn't track my progress as I play mainly on mobile but I lost very few games between ranks 3 and legend.
Used Jade druid (pre nerf) from 10-3. Then post nerf Jade druid after that. Here's my list.
Got to rank 5 pre-nerf with a combination of Tempo Warrior and midrange Murloc Paladin (I hate the aggro version). Now I'm still trying some different post-nerf decks to climb, mostly Miracle Rogue (missing some cards for other versions) and Secret Mage.

Thanks mate! Keleseth is my favorite card so I'll give this deck a go :) Appreciate the detailed reply!
Counter vs aggro/tempo/prince rogue and midrange/face hunter? i've seen only those decks and im stuck on rank 3. May be midrange pala with wicker and corpses?

Haven't played much this season but for once I have played fun decks all the way :)
- Fatigue Warrior
- Bishop + Hemet Priest
- Prince Buffadin
- DK Jaina Mage
- Evolve Shaman
Crafted evolve shaman from scratch yesterday and currently sitting at rank 4, and having a blast :) probably not going for legend this season but having fun anyways
Surprisingly I managed to reach Rank 3 with a Quest Warrior with 13/4 win/lose rate on ranks 5-3, but will do some more testing and then if it is still good will publish a decklist... But I did win against higlander priest twice and against jade druid... My loses are one Hunter and Keleseth Rogues who highrolled Keleseth... But I actually once won against rogue who played Keleseth Shadowstep Keleseth on turn 3, by a well placed Brawl (+2/+2 minions don't matter as much if your opponent is in topdeck mode and you have board full of taunts)
I get so close and then get the ass end of rng back to rank 3, then spend the rest of the day grinding it back. This is incredibly frustrating. I'm certain I've played Raza on curve in less then 1/3 of my games today.
edit: Hit rank 1 two stars....then started losing again. Guys who have hit legend before, is it always like this?
edit 2: goddamn. i just want to hit legend already. 8 hours a day for 3 days straight and not any closer.
edit 3: finally drew raza and velen in the first 20 cards. they were milled back to back because of sap. when will this shit end?
Made it today with Token Shaman, basically the same decklist as Ungoro except there's a Saronite Chain Gang + Shaman DK. Used from rank 3 to legend, had a 82% win streak (18-4).
Had really good matchups against Hunter, Rogue, and Priest (basically 3/4s of ladder atm).

All 30 cards are basically standard. The deck really don't have space for tech choices. With the Bonemare meta 2x Devolve is basically necessary against every aggro matchup. And the Saronite Chain Gang is just way too much tempo if combod with Evolve. It's basically doppel 2.0 even though there isn't enough space for another one.

Today First I started playing with tempo rogue from rank 2(1 star) to rank 2(5 stars), but I got bored pretty fast. So, I switched to aggro druid and lost a lot of matches => rank 2(1star) again. After that I switched to big priest to counter => razakus priest, midrange hunter, tempo rogue and zoo warlock. Worked pretty good!
Today, I played 24 games with a 70,8% winrate.
Season I reached rank 3 pretty fast this season, but could not make the push for early legend. There are several reasons for that => A little bit of tilt with deck switching and wanted to try out a few "meme" decks. Also, I played a lot of paladin and had a <50% with it. Normally, I have atleast >60% with paladin, but this season it was just not working.
Whole season, I played 373 games with a 55% winrate.
Rank 4 - 2 star - pirate warrior is still strong!!!
I've been quite busy since I last posted, but I did hit legend yesterdaý with a Prince Keleseth rogue :)

I am envoy from nowhere in nowhere. Nobody and nothing have sent me. And though it is impossible I exist. ©Trimutius
I got legend with f2p Hunter after the craziest game ever to prove that it's possible! (I'm already Wild legend both on NA and Asia)
Best freaking game ever!!! He Dragonfired twice, Velen + Lash himself from 6 to 30, yet I still WON!!!
