Whatever Hagatha's hero power will be, she's even costed so that could give a hint. It'll be something that won't be upgraded by Baku and something we might want to use often at a reduced cost from Genn.
I'm thinking it might be an auto-cast hero power based on a condition. The other witch we had, Wicked Witchdoctor, did something when we cast a spell. Maybe Hagatha's hero power will do something when we cast a spell or play a minion? Or it auto devolves whatever minions the opponent plays?
I don't think it'll involve freeze. Doesn't really fit. She's a witch causing corruption of a forest.
It could have something to do with totems. If she is supposed to be a part of the even-costed deckbuilding, perhaps we are supposed to churn out 1-cost corrupted, ill-tempered 13/13 totems with Genn + Hagatha? With frickin' lasers attached to their heads.
I dont know what are you smoking CW bad right now but I blow away any type of shaman. Such a board dependant deck got blow away by shitload of warrior boardclear and still outvalur them with deadman hand. I play the control version with lots of legendaries, not fatique one. In the next expansion, shaman lose all of the deck best cards , also warrior gAin tank up back so I really doubt the mathup will be much improve for the shaman. Maybe Shaman do better vs lock because of Hex, but thats all
I hope you are right. But many mechanics about shaman are failed so far.
Overload failed
Murlocs failed
Freeze failed
Jade meh
Evolution meh
Totems meh
IMO shaman needs more decent cards related to totem and evolution synergy mechanics
While separately, all of these mechanics failed, shaman became busted by just taking the strong parts of all the archetypes and shoving it into one big mixing pot. Midrange shaman relied on busted overload cards, Jades, and sometimes a little bit of totem stuff in terms of Thunder Bluff Valiant and for some reason, I feel like everybody forgot that token shaman was a pretty strong deck in Un'goro, abusing evolution and jade mechanics to just make a board out of nothing.
I feel like Blizzard should try to focus on making one mechanic decent for shaman instead of doing what they normally do, that being sprinkling busted cards to different formats (like what with happened with priest, Operative, Shadow Visions, and Raza). While this would go and make Shaman more linear, the class is in a rough shape right now so something needs to happen. The same goes for warrior, but instead of combining a bunch of different busted archetypes, warrior instead just had almost every dominant deck they had be nerfed to the ground, or faded into obscurity with new expansions (with Patron, Worgen OTK, Pirate being the nerfed ones, and C'thun, control, and taunt all just fading away). Legitimately I'm pretty sure warrior is almost tied with the most nerfs a class has received.
Yeah, Shaman probably will be the most OP class right now after the rotation. If not, blame Stephen Hawking and his mother***** (<-fucking) black holes theories where anything horrible can happen. But wait..... here comes Jim Morrison swearing the ******* (<-fucking) truth that Shaman thing is so important that whole world would be crushing if this **** (<-shit) doesn't happen.
I just hope shammy would get good board control cards that dont have overload
Why? Vulcano is decent, and if it looks something like i made ( https://imgur.com/a/TabqU ) Overload should be fine.
im playing otk grumble shaman and dude you dont have enough control. since the combo requires 10 mana you cannot overload period. im stuck at rank 17 with it
Shaman could be tier 1 with a couple of busted elementals. Elemental Shaman has a better shot than freeze right now. Freeze probably needs more cards overall. Haggatha will probably be the decider though.
Blizzard did mention that they considered the shaman spellstone one of the strongest cards in the set that just doesn't have a home YET. Although TFB rotates which used to be the best card to combo with spells tone against anything remotely aggressive, I feel like cards will come that make spellstone worth playing. As for Genn decks, the 2 drop is absurdly good and if shaman gets any sort of win condition for a totem spam deck that can't run bloodlust it could be strong. Hagatha appears to be the decider on the classes strength since other than spellstone or bloodlust the class is essentially unable to kill people.
Warrior is in an even worse state then Shaman at the moment. At least Shaman has a somewhat decent deck with evolve Shaman, Warrior has almost been nerfed out of existence.
I think blizzard is confused about what they want shaman to be. They make a legendary about murlocs Neptulon then a quest, suddenly they try to force a freeze architype out of thin air, then they give up and come back to evolution/overload, is really disturbing trying to build a shaman deck this days.
Amen. Only Evo Shaman with some Burst / Bloodlust / Doomhammer Dmg is a halfway decent deck for Casual games or to complete Quests.
In Ranked though all top tier decks are stacked full with nasty AoE who are shitting hard on Shaman and appreciating the free win.

it's true though Warrior is the weakest class by a looong distance.
If there is one class that needs to become t1 after a very long time, that class is Warrior.
Up to last expansion Shaman had the evolve which was high t2 low t1,i made legend easily multiple times with it.
I wouldn't even think that you can get legend with warrior as of now.At least not if you are lucky and high roll.
The last time we saw Control Warrior being good was way back in League of explorers time. And its the most anticipated archetype from most players that love warrior. Not some crappy aggro face pirates.
And now with the odds legendary having a Justicar tank up since start of the game i think that warrior is in a good spot to become Control god again. We just need good cards that compliment this mechanic to make it more viable.
as much as I respect warrior as a class, you can't deny, that shaman is the one that needs tons of support more than everyone else. To the people defending warrior - yes, evolve shaman was a high tier deck, capable of helping you reach legend, but it was actually 1) the only viable option throughout the whole Year of the Mammoth (everything else was super fair to play against), 2) one-dimensional and 3) easily counterable. Secondly, warrior had 2 very competitive decks before mid KOFT (Quest and the infamous PW), while evolve shaman slowly started losing popularity the more the control decks became stronger. Thirdly, please look at the sets of the last two expansions for both shaman and warrior and tell me again which class had it bad. It gets worse by the fact, that all of the useful cards in shaman will be rotated out, leaving more questions and gaps, which need to be answered.
About the state of shaman in the next expansion - I kinda feel optimistic about that, because I also expect to see good cards being introduced, but shaman players have to hope to get something really godlike within a single set, in order to overcome the class' weaknesses. While warrior needs a good early-game weapon and maybe another board clear/removal, shaman needs a lot more support in the form of card draw options, bigger AoEs/removals, better early-game and just power turns overall. If you ask me, because shaman got so many bad cards from the previous two expansions, the class may suffer the same fate as warlock did back in Un'Goro - not necessary the one about how warlock was the weakest class of all, but about how it had class identity issues. Inb4 I know it's too early to talk about such a thing, w/o seeing the whole card set first, but those thoughts go through my mind from time to time.
Something really drastic would have to happen for Shaman to get a tier 1 deck next expansion.
-All this year shaman has been given mostly bad cards.
-The strong cards from the year before are rotating out.
-Blizzard works 2 sets ahead on balance and moves in small increments usually. So Shaman (and warrior) will be slated to receive some strong cards but they will still be behind classes like warlock that received strong cards every expansion last year. And they will probably continue to receive some strong cards the set affter they reach top competitive tier.

Can't really say the same for shaman, but warrior did get some pretty decent cards from the last two expansions. Cards like Drywhisker Armorer, Unidentified Shield, Dead Man's Hand, Blood Razor are all very strong, just warrior is weaker because the meta is often able to just either out value them quickly, or burn them out too quickly. As for Shaman, literally all of cards from KFT were useless and there are only two slightly playable cards in this expansion, those being Healing Rain, which is a geniunely strong card in board match ups, and Crushing Hand, which has only been because of cubelock running giants. Shaman should be getting strong cards this expansion, while warrior is probably still on the chopping block for a bit longer.

I don't have something witty about this deck, I just like it because Malygos is fun.
Crackpot theory time: Lately, they've been pushing a battlecry meta. It all started with rumbling elementals, and they've slowly implemented better and better tools for the battlecry meta, like Jade claws/spirits in Gadgetzan. They really pushed the elemental meta in ungoro, which are strongly centered around their battlecries. In Kobolds, it became apparent that they were going for something like this when they made murmuring elementals and Grumble, and there's even a battlecriar card pool in dungeon runs. Even from what's been announced so far, I feel like this Murkspark Eel could push bc shamans into the spotlight. Does that mean it's going to be a good archetype? probably not, but I'm betting it all on BC shaman anyway, because it's fun as hell.
Another thing, I've been seeing the reasoning that since Midrange Shaman dominated for a solid year, that Blizzard is going to keep giving us trash cards. Maybe by that logic they're going to make priest suck, as penance for Razakus. Probably not, but who knows. Glitter moth at least looks like garbage.
Shaman >> Warrior. The only reliable deck that warrior can run is pirate and it got nerfed twice -FWA & patches-. There's also fatige warrior, but you must be "the choosen one" to get a winrate close to 50%, very hard to play properly but coldlights are leaving standard.
