So Paladin gets this really cool taunted shielded mini bot card that requires some setup at the beginning of reveals. Cool! So what dragon is going to come next to help that out?!

...
The only dragon in the entire expansion that they can use (besides amalgam) literally takes away the divine shield that you get to summon a 3 mana 5/4
Tfw dragon paladin gets less support than freeze shaman. RIP my beloved dragon decks, you will always be loved BRM <3.
Look at the bright side... at least Paladin got setup for later expansions, and there is always Bone Drake and Ysera as dragons. Rogue, on the other hand, got the really short end of the stick.
Explain me the pure logic of giving paladins a strong 2 drop that has Dragon synergy but not give them any class dragons, not only that, there are only 2 neutral dragons, one is a Swiss army tool and the other a meh overstated minion, and to add the cherry on top, hunter gets 2 fucking dragons while he has bullshit Dragon synergy. What do hunter shave to do with fucking dragons?

This expansion, more than any that have preceded it, seems to have been made with wild format in mind.
I think the devs got tired of wild being nearly identical to standard and decided to print some cards that would help deck building outside of the standard format.
I think some cards seem trash because they'll receive OP synergy in a later expansion. This way they can nerf some OP cards simply by staggering their release. Maybe the gargoyle gets some synergy next year and we'll be crying for it to get nerfed.
I actually thought paladin got really strong cards considering the strength of the cards not rotating for paladin.
Dragon pally might actually be a thing....With the low cost dragons and the 8 mana sword getting a cost reduction.... Maybe not t1/2, but I think the deck looks strong enough on paper to try.
There is always wild. Remember, that format where you can play with all of the cards you've unpacked over the past 5 years? And it's no more cancerous than standard format.
Guys please stop using Marsh Drake in your theorycraft. Just because it's a dragon doesn't mean it should be played. It sucks. You waste a trade or a recruit on the token it summons so it's basically a 3/3. There are much better dragons to use.
And also stop using the excuse that the Gargoyle is for wild only. We are losing 3 sets now and they would print a card just for wild? With this logic all cards are for wild because they can be played there. I still don't get their logic but this is not it.

also f for dragon priest, still decent with spiteful but gonna have to start teching it out.
There is coming shit paladin cards next expansions. And thats cuase C2A
Sad times, But at least we can look ahead to what is to come
Why u hav to be mad? is only card gaem.
Poor Paladin? How about Poor Warrior? That stream proved how shit Blackhowl Gunspire really is. Seriously, WHY IS THAT SHITTY CARD A LEGENDARY?!
Let's not forget about Wild. I will try dragon paladin there. Just for casual fun :)
Same story with Snap Freeze which is better Shatter. Probably useless for standard. Maybe only vs freeze shaman :)
Actually the Gargoyle is relatively good set-up for the 3 mana 5/4 Dragon. The Gargoyle can trade into the 2/1 that gets summoned.
This is best case scenario of course. The 3 mana 5/4 Dragon is only really good in Wild Priest where you have Potion of Madness.
No, instead Priest gets their own Dragon and HUNTER gets TWO Dragons... wtf.

The gargoyle is made for Wild imo. This supports an archetype that's almost making it already for years.
On Paladin more general, I think it's actually becoming a powerhouse.
I like how gargoyle is an epic, so we don't have to waste dust crafting it.
Piloted Shredder, Knife Juggler, Mad Scientist, Dr. Boom
Need to be removed from this game
It doesn't look amazing, but I'll for sure be trying it in a couple days. Lost in the Jungle, Righteous Protector, Cathedral Gargoyle all three of these before Marsh Drake can work out just fine. Other dragons you could throw in there - Cobalt Scalebane, Nightmare Amalgam, Twilight Drake, Ebon Dragonsmith. With Wyrmguard and Silver Sword as support.
