There are a bunch of early game options for control and I haven't settled on the optimal mix yet. As you can see in the deck:
Hydrologist - I like this card for "thickening" your board presence a bit but it's probably not necessary to have it. Some of the secrets have great synergy with our deathrattle minions and Noble Sacrifice is nice to have as a pseudo-taunt vs. aggro.
Dirty Rat - I always want this vs. Priest. I think it's pretty strong in the current meta as there are lots of Battlecries that decks rely on. The problem is we don't have a ton of dealing with the minions once we pull them out of the opponent's hand.
Doomsayer - Not currently running it but could be nice in some situations. I found a lot of decks can play around it pretty well these days.
Wild Pyromancer - Right now there's only 1 copy in the deck because we just don't run a lot of spells in general, but the combo with Equality is so important that we might need 2 of this.
Barnes - He doesn't like HAVE to be in the deck but there are a lot of decent targets for him to hit. If it's not one of your premium deathrattles you still have a shot at a 1/1 taunt of some kind. And the additional bodies on board is nice synergy with Tarim, which is our best card.
Stonehill Defender - In a vacuum it's not the greatest card but it needs to be here IMO the strength of getting multiple Sunkeeper Tarim, our best card by far, or Tirion Fordring, is just great.
Arrogant Crusader - this card is secretly good IMO. Really nice for giving you a threatening N'zoth board, and also leaves something on board for Tarim plays and whatnot.
Skelemancer - this is very slow and often a bad draw. In an optimal build it should probably be cut for something better, it's just that I really enjoy the head-games it creates with opponents wanting to clear our board. Abomination is an option I've considered that could even run alongside this guy, but realistically there's not room for both.
Spikeridged Steed - Just finding that the meta has too many ways of dealing with this right now. It doesn't synergize particularly well with a lot of parts of the deck, so I've just left it out for now. Shame, because it's one of the strongest cards in the class.
I would cut the Dirty Rat for a 2nd Hydrologist. If you're running The Curator with only one target for the second draw it's just going to be drawing you one card more often than not + Hydrologist is a great option for extra value.
Wild Pyromancer + Equality is a God send combo so I would run two (cut Barnes. Even though you have a ton of great targets you can also whiff a lot)
Skelemancer I believe should only be played if you're facing decks that are running Doomsayers or if you're utilising Spikeridged Steeds in your deck. I'd cut both for Bonemares for obvious reasons.
I leave the rest of the deck in fact as I am sure it is fun to play! ^^

I would cut Dirty Rat, you dont have any immediate answers for what he pulls. And without Spikeridge steed, Skelemancer is basically useless most decks will just ignore him.
Made a couple changes as suggested cutting Dirty Rat and Skelemancer in favor of other cards.
Having trouble staying alive. I really want to keep Stonehill Defender and they provide a tiny bit of shielding with their bodies but Tar Creeper would be a little beefier. Of course running those makes me think of an Elemental package, but I digress.
Uther of the Ebon Blade is not functioning well enough as healing against faster decks. But there is kind of a lack of viable options for the deck.
Ivory Knight the body and tempo loss is just too weak. Now that I think about it, I probably have to add Spikeridged Steed.
