Hi guys. I don't main Paladin, and use it mostly for daily quests in casual and the occasional brawl. My collection (public, if you want to check) is also a bit on the lacking side, so I make do with what I have.
But this deck I recently made for my questing needs was a pleasant surprise: went 10-2 overall, and 7-0 with the last version. So I was wondering if it could also be viable on the ladder (the meta there is different from casual, I know). Or at least if it could become viable with a little investment. I do have a few Ks dust but I'm pretty conservative with it, and prefer not to commit everything to just one deck... even more so with the post-nerf meta still so young :P
Oh, and my concept of "viable" is pretty modest BTW. Maybe for you it means reaching Legend, but I average around r10 by end of season, r9 best result... so anything beyond that would be good ;)
This looks almost like a constructed deck. Why wouldn't it be viable? I'd removed the bluegills and Light's sorrow though
Well, I don't check constructed Pala decks that often... this is homebrew, but if it does look almost like a constructed one, I'll take that as a compliment! :)
Anyway, what would you replace the bluegills and Light's sorrow with?
I'd say lose light's sorrow, true silver or second rallying is probably better. I'd also try and replace grimscale chum, perhaps for Argent squire.
Maybe take out a bone mare for Tirion if you have him?
Got 2x Argent squire, no problem there, but alas no Tirion and no second rallying available. Might consider crafting them if it's worth it, though.
BTW, I see both of you say to remove Light's sorrow... OK, but may I ask you why? Thought it had nice sinergy with the bubble dudes, and I remember one time playing against it, it gave me trouble (growing up to 5 atk).
Well I don't like sorrow because it's so dependent on having the right board state if it's going to have any impact. It can potentially be really powerful, but it can also whiff our have very delayed impact. True silver is guaranteed to be great every time, so it's much more consistent.
But lights sorrow might just be worth it if you get enough bubbles that it's consistently good. I can't say that I've played around with it enough to be sure.
