Yep, the grimey goons mechanic is surprisingly bad. Hunter and paladin paid the price. Warrior survived on pirates it seems. I think they should have allowed some sort of selection of which cards get buffed. It is ridiculous you can't run anti aggro cards like doomsayer without risk of wasting buffs on them. Also if you have a glowing hand, your opponents isn't going to be playing around equality consecration. The cherry on top is that even by giving your opponent the info that you have consecrate in hand, it actually hurts your deck because that spot means a minion won't be recieving a buff! Just all around a bad mechanic. Dopplegangster is broken and that doesn't even make viable.
I wouldn't necessarily say Pally is bad right now, it just relies way too much on curve to be good. If you don't manage to start off with even one copy of Smuggler's Run or Gadgetzan Outfitter you're gonna be outcurved by pretty much anyone else. I have a C'Thun Buff Paladin of my own, where if you do get opening buffs you absolutely decimate your opponent with 2 mana 3/4s, 3 mana 4/5s and so on, but if the buffs don't fall it's just a really bad C'Thun deck.

Just because buff pally is the strongest deck of the Grimy goons, it doesnt mean it is a strong deck.
Goons IS weak, it gives your opponent too much info about your hand. Also It's weak to board clear, something a good Jade Deck isn't weak to. I will say I'm still trying to make it work and Eadric is a very good card to put in it.

The games are hard for sure unless I face Jade decks.. they get stomped badly.. however pirates wreck me no matter what kind of "buff" deck I play
I have tried some buff / dragon deck to battle priests and warlocks however that falls flat and gets stomped by faster decks..
It's really frustrating to play paladin currently. Either you get a dream start and your opponent has to play catch up or you get your draws in the wrong order and never gains the value you are seeking..
However I wont give up just yet.. I will still try out different cards until I find something that is decent because I really do like the idea behind hand buffing and planning a bit ahead.

Its not a crap when you buff it at least once, its at worst a 4/9 taunt aka a priest's worst nightmare.
The win condition is doppelgangster, dropping a 3 5/5 or higher on turn 5 or 6 is very hard to deal with or sometimes a 13/12 wild pyromancer, I defeated a renolock with that after he used all his removals on doppelgangsters and the over stated minions I was summoning.

I've been playing mostly wild with paladin where they have minibot/muster, but I still think you can make a good midrange paladin deck that abuses buffed 1-3 drops and divine shield. Coin 1/1 that buffs followed by agent squire and deathrattle shield girl is kinda amazing. A 3/3 argent protector that gives a free trade for 2 mana with a single buff is a huge tempo swing. People I've played against are just being greedy and trying to to get a few huge minions (dopplegangster) rather than claiming the board and using divine favor to push for lethal once they've already claimed the board

What board clears? nothing can kill 3 6/6 unless its the 10 mana kazakus potion. Also I said, you can get minions up to Deathwing stats, like 2 mana 13/12 wild pyromancer. So your cheap cards can become something like 4/5s and 7/7s...etc, which will win you the game.
For example: dropped two 5/4 wild pyromancers with the new 3 mana legendary which was at 4/4 at turn 7. I was playing vs jade rogue. He spent all his removals dealing with them, then I dropped 3 4/4 doppelgangsters and won the game afterwords.
So you have to know when to buff/ not buff, and when to go all in so that your opponent uses all removal and then you win from that point.
I love Paladin but we are just getting killed out there. Even if you get your cards in the right order, it is still very easy to be put back on your ass by board clears, "theft" cards, and/or aggro decks.
It's very frustrating. I feel like I play a deck that "should" work, and over time I have some sort of strategy and try to respond intelligently to what my opponents are playing. But there is just way to deal with some of the cards out there... and the seemingly random effects from certain cards that leave you going, "REALLY?"

It was a kaz potion combined with a volcanic potion it even nuked my face for like 5 damage also. Seemed fair.
The other classes are just way too overpowered right now, Ridiculous pirate and aggro shaman that win on turn 4, 90 hp cucklocks with their reno/leeroy otk decks that can just kazakus some crap to answer anything you do
Next adventure when all this garbage rotates out is the only time paladin will be decent again, they choose to be bitches about paladins because they dont want another secret paladin, but i guess win on turn 3 aggro shaman is just fine with them, freaking cucks

You are absolutely right. Shaman is just f'ing insane at the moment. I just played a murlock shaman who wasted me by turn 4. The cards they can play are stupidly powerful. What's the point of even trying? I want to concede every time I am matched against a Shaman.
looks like while kabal and jade classes dominates the meta, goons beaten very hard. Didn't blizz test those mechanics before realese ? What an irresponsible behavior.

Anyfin Pally w/ Finja, the Flying Star and Eadric the Pure is a great deck in ladder for Paladin this expansion.
