Yes, there has been no 2 drop but in my opinion what they have given Priest so far is insanely good.
Kabal Talonpriest is hopefully the most OP card we will see for Arena in this expansion. Kripp was saying that this card played on curve with a 2 drop on the board is almost a guaranteed win. This card is literally Dark Cultist except the deathrattle is a battlecry AND it's targeted... just completely broken.
The Potion is an empowered Flamestrike for 1 less mana while Drakonid Operative is a little better than a 5/6 draw a card when you have a dragon in your hand. Even if you don't have a dragon in your hand, a 5/6 for 5 mana is still really really good. There's no drawback to having this card fill your 5 mana slot versus Azure Drake. Discovering a card from your opponent's deck can be very powerful and even if it isn't, you're still gaining a card in your hand that is bound to have some kind of value.
Potion of Madness is meta-defining. This card is just broken. 1 mana? Really? When I first saw the card I thought it read that you get a RANDOM minion from your opponent's side of the board with 2 or less attack. At first I was like, oh that could be strong but when I found out it was TARGETED my mind was completely blown. I mean, how do you even play around this? Just not play anything turn 1 or turn 2? Absolutely crazy good.
Pint-Size Potion is a sneaky good card. Even by itself, it's a good Arena card because you can use it and then trade in your minions and take control of the board for just 1 mana. In combination with cards like Cabal Shadow Priest it just becomes insane. I think this is another card that will be really good in Arena for Priest like Kabal Talonpriest. Fun fact: A card that had the exact same effect as this card already existed and it was called Demoralizing Roar and it was a Druid Card. Here's a picture of it:
What do you guys think? I think they have given Priest some really good and dangerous weapons that are going to allow the class to be a threat in the meta.
when I first saw pint size I thought it set all minions to 3, and I was just like, ok so priest is ok now but not op, but the actual text is kinda insane, madness is not insane imo just because it really needa to combo with pint size to do much, but yeah the dragon cards are good, I think kabal talonpriest is really good for arena, and will see constructed play but is not op. I don't think priest will be op, hopefully not or if it is hopefully it is less I entomb all your shit and kill your whole board with no consequences or counterplay, but instead I kill all your shit and take some of it if you are the type of deck I am countering

Just fill your deck with one drops, that is creative deck design, right?
As far as I am concerned a lot of the Priest cards are very good and borderline crazy. The only one I dislike is Pint-Size Potion, because of how unfair it can be to any deck trying to be slow in combination with Cabal Shadow Priest. if Priest becomes undisputed number one (not saying that it will, but we are seeing some pretty strong cards here) it won't feel good to be losing and to have your opponent steal all your cards while also beating you to the ground. They could have made a minimal fix by saying for example that the -3 Attack was for spells only (or that minion effects do not count or even printed something different that wouldn't make people feel as bad). That kind of card only leaves me hoping that Priest won't be consistent enough to afford running it or that it will not be Tier 1 while that card is in rotation. If you ask me Priest is getting the Shaman treatment and if it doesn't work this time I can only imagine what broken Priest cards the next expansion will hold for us.
The entire kit is great. I think the one new card that has been mostly overlooked is Shadow word horror. No idea how that reveal slipped under the radar in this expansion.
Oh and the 5 drop dragon is probably the most powerful card in dragon priest.

Priest is not getting shaman treatment, not even close imo.
Shaman received tons of proactive, undercosted cards, super efficient and hard to remove early game, a powercreeped fiery war axe, a 0 mana 5/5, etc.. None of these card have super strong effects, they're just way too undercosted for what they actually do.
Priest so far got a strong dragon 5 drop, a strong 3 drop that won't be so strong if they don't have a 2 drop to go with it, and some crazy but situational board control cards.
This is nowhere near as cancerous as what shaman received but it looks like it will be enough to push priest anyway, only pint-size potion might be a little bit over the top, but it won't win you any game, it will just help you not lose. Imo blizzard did a way better job this time than they did with shaman.
Yeah, but it has to start somewhere. Just like they started with Totem Golem and then added the other cards little by little so are they supporting Priest. Just because they aren't giving Priest also insane early game doesn't mean the buffs to Priest are not powerful. Besides I am not being definitive with my statement because we haven't seen all cards yet, but the first few one hint at a potential disaster in the making. It is not about whether Priest becomes Tier 1 or not, but more on whether people will get tired of the musical chairs balancing philosophy Blizzard seems to have and start leaving the game because of it. As I said if these powerful cards are not enough for Priest to be good they will print other stronger cards in the next expansion and that is unacceptable if Blizzard wants the game to be healthy. You can't have single classes be far above others because that only gives less incentive to run the other decks (classes) thus making it harder to have a healthy ever-changing meta. That is my main concern. Its not so much Priest will be OP as the game will be frustrating to play as long as the weakest classes are helped by getting several cards above the power curve with successive additions to the game.
I do agree that it seems like a better job than Shaman (at least Priest will let you develop your game), but I am simply pointing out that I am a bit concerned especially since we haven't seen all cards (including what other classes will get). That is why I will reserve my final predictions for once we have all the information. With my comment I was simply sharing my ideas at this point in time.
Potion of madness is by far the most op card saw up to now .. more op than karakus (i dont remember the right name of that card) ... my question is why they create cards that will be nerfed after 6 months ?
Well, let's see. I'll try to evaluate the priest cards the best I can with the information currently available.
Dragonfire Potion: 8/10: This card is incredible. Priests have been lacking a strong aoe every since the loss of Lightbomb. Now with the arrival of Dragonfire Potion, priests have an incredibly strong aoe. Arguably the best in the game. It's one downside and the reason I'm not scoring it higher is because it has a built in weakness in that it doesn't affect your opponent's dragons. So, against another dragon deck, the value drops significantly. If the meta is shaped in a way that we see a LOT of dragons, then priests will have to find alternative aoe to compensate.
Drakonid Operative: 9/10: What can I say? This card is bonkers! IMO the best comparison is Azure Drake and aside from the spell damage, which priests have a harder time utilizing, this card is almost strictly better than Azure Drake. The stat line at 5/6 is amazing not to mention the free card. The fact it too is a dragon helps with meeting it's condition and filling the deck with powerful and useful dragons. The downsides being that it can only really be utilized in dragon priest and a card from your opponent's deck can arguably be less valuable than drawing a card from your own, which is why I'm not giving it a full 10/10.
Pint-Size Potion: 8/10: I feel this card is going to be at least a 1 of in nearly every priest deck. An extremely powerful combo card for sure but the best thing about it is, even without being combo'd, it's effect is extremely potent simply by allowing favorable trades. At a cost of 1 mana, Pint-Size Potion will likely shake the meta!
Kabal Talonpriest: 9.5/10: Strictly better than Dark Cultist which was itself a great card. Unlike Dark Cultist, it's within your power to guarantee it's effect. It's far more difficult for your opponent to play around than Dark Cultist, which was arguably it's biggest weakness. Unlike Dark Cultist, you get to choose the target! With this card being so much better than Dark Cultist, I almost rank it a full 10/10. If priests can get a solid, strong 2 drop minion, then I would. Even if they don't, this card can still enable the priest early game. I picture Faerie Dragon being a common 2 drop for priests, especially in dragon priest. It's harder to remove than a standard 2 drop and with Kabal Talonpriest, it can easily become equivalent to a Laughing Sister! That's amazing!
Potion of Madness: 8/10: This card's power lies in it's low mana cost. Only costing 1, this card is insane and the potential tempo swing can change the entire course of a game. Imagine this card: 1 mana, Destroy a 2 health enemy minion, a 2 attack enemy minon and draw a card. In many situations, that will be this card! Again, until we know how the meta is shaped after the expansion, it's hard to accurately evaluate it's effectiveness. However, I don't think that will be a problem. With cards like Loot Hoarder, Acolyte of Pain and Kindly Grandmother, I don't think this card will have too much trouble finding a value target. I rate this higher than Shadow Madness because a 1 mana cost is far easier to work with than a 4 mana cost, even if the targets are more restricted.
As of me writing this, priests have gotten the best cards of all the classes, which is very exciting. Not a bad card in the bunch. We'll have to wait and see what's in store for the other classes and of course, wait and see how the game is changed once the expansion is released (and even moreso when cards are rotated out of standard) but as it stands, the future looks very bright for priests!
Potion of Madness is really good, but not against every deck. Often you won't be able to kill anything with the minion you steal, if you steal a low damage/high health minion it will be hard to even suicide it, and against control and some midrange decks you will have trouble finding even a single target. Depending on the meta it might very well not be included at all, or just be a 1-of. Later in the game it will often be a better idea to just use a boardwipe, such as...
Dragonfire Potion! Which is probably the best single-card board wipe in the entire game, even if you don't play dragons. This card is OP as fck.
Potion of Madness is strong and everything, but it's situational, and it sucks pretty bad against midrange/control/weird decks. If it stays in the meta, that will be thanks to pint-size potion, not thanks to itself.
Pint-Size Potion is literally the best priest card ever printed, and it makes the entire priest kit so much better.
As long as there is no ridiculously retarded 2 drop for priest, Kabal Talonpriest will be fine. I think it's slightly worse than Dark Cultist because priest early game sucks, and dark cultist is crazy strong but wasn't even in all priest decks.
Dragon Priest doesn't run CSP or Sylvanas, so the 6-drop spot is fine. I'm not sure why PSP is the "best priest card ever printed." Shrinkmeister was a fine 2-drop, but not great. In order to 2-for-1 with it, the Priest needs at least two attackers against a wide board, so it's very situational. If the Priest has already lost the board, it's a dead card. AoE seems better. While some have commented that it combos with SW:H, neither card is good on its own, so the combo will likely be attrited on the ladder.
Cards are obviously good, but we havent seen most cards yet, hard to say how good dragon priest will be after this expansion, there might be decks that are stronger. If Handlock comes back for example itll be no good time for priest whatsoever.
Potion of madness is by far the most op card saw up to now .. more op than karakus (i dont remember the right name of that card) ... my question is why they create cards that will be nerfed after 6 months ?
I feel like Pint-Size Potion is waaay more OP (despite of the fact how insane synergy they have, both being 1 mana), especially in a minion-heavy Priest, mainly Dragon Priest. Imagine a situation that you play against shaman, both of you have 3-4 or even 5 minions on a board. Normally you are forced to trade, because if you will ignore shaman's board, most likely you're dead in 3 turns (or even in 1 turn because of Bloodlust) and in the process of trading you more or less lose your entire board. But guess what, now you have 1 mana Pint-Size Potion, you trade everything, your minions stay on the board while all opponent's minions are dead. This is so INSANE tempo swing for 1 mana. People tend to think that playing this card is equal to healing your minions by 3. I call this bullshit, because you can't heal them if they died while trading, but using Pint-Size Potion they don't die. This card is absolutely broken even for 2 mana, probably still playable for 3. If both of you have some board, it's basically 1 mana, swipe your opponent's board and use the rest of your mana to extend your board. The ultimate tempo swing, and tempo is everything in this game. And I'm not even mentioning synergy with Shadow Word: Horror, Shadow Madness and Cabal Shadow Priest. I won't be suprised if there will be new meme combo in priest called "7 mana, I steal your Sylvanas" with Pint-Size Potion and Cabal Shadow Priest.
Potion of madness is by far the most op card saw up to now .. more op than karakus (i dont remember the right name of that card) ... my question is why they create cards that will be nerfed after 6 months ?
Because they won't need to be nerfed? The community needs to move away from "Blizz needs to nerf this" because we've been really spoiled this year with the nerfs.
Priest is looking to have a good tier 1 presence with Dragon Priest, and Control Priest might be able to be a deck again.
If they don't get their own 2-drop, why not Friendly Bartender? Giving that +3 health is pretty nuts, and I think they're going to run Mistress of Mixtures anyway.
People do not realize how stupidly OP Pint-Size Potion is. It solves the only two problems facing Control Priest (and any other Priest deck that likes board control). It solves dealing with 4-attack minions, and it solves attacking. Let's take a closer look at this card and how it will affect Priest and the game in general.
1: Spells and cards that do things based on Attack.
This card is a huge buff to a lot of Priest cards, which I think is what they really need. Priest has a lot of good cards, just not cards that can form a cohesive deck that stands up to aggro. Shadow Word: Pain is finally much, much more viable, to the point where it's comparable to BGH. The wombo combo these cards can create with just 1 copy of Pint-Size Potion is insanity. Shadow Word: Pain can now target 6 or 9 attack minions, based on how many you cast at once. But that's just the tip of the iceberg.
Let's talk about control. I don't mean board control, I mean controlling other people's minions. Priest has long been famous for having so many stealing cards that can be so ineffective. Let's think about KabalCabal Shadow Priest. It's great value, but not that good because it's a 6-drop, and can only target 2 attack or less minions. But now, with 1 or 2 Pint-Size Potions, you can yoink that Ysera, wrangle that Rag, and get poetic justice by snagging a Sylvanas. It's a bit ironic that this card comes out in an expansion about crime, because this is gonna work with theft.
The exact same thing comes up with Potion of Madness or Shadow Madness. Ah, so your opponent played a big, bad Deathrattle minion and you don't know how to deal with the minion or the Deathrattle? Well, guess what? They're both yours for a turn, and it is way easier to kill your own minion than an enemy minion. Cast this once, steal a Cairne Bloodhoof, smack it into whatever minion your opponent still has, and enjoy your 4/5. OP.
Also, Shadow Word: Horror is now viable! Cast two of these babies and watch your opponent concede when you play what was once a terrible card.
2: Trading.
Do I even need to talk about how much easier it is to trade with a zero-attack minion? No? ok
I'll also be posting this review on the card's page-hope you enjoyed it!

Remember that time you played against someone with a Majordomo win condition? Or that weird guy who had a deck revolving around dropping multiple thirty-spell Yoggs (with Brann) in one game? Yeah, that was me.
Potion of madness is by far the most op card saw up to now .. more op than karakus (i dont remember the right name of that card) ... my question is why they create cards that will be nerfed after 6 months ?

im not the one who say ''nerf this!!1!!11'' .. but problably this card will be nerfed. Priest doesnt need a 2 drop .. doomsayer and museum curator are ok in a nzoth priest. Priest has officially no early game problems who can stop it ?
Also, I'm not talking about N'zoth Priest (which is utter garbage in Standard now anyway). And you don't play Doomsayer or Museum Curator for their bodies which is what people mean when they say "Priest needs a 2-drop." You play them for their effects, and imo, Friendly Bartender and Mistress of Mixtures are good enough for a Control Priest list to combat the early game against most classes, and if you top that off with Kabal Talonpriest, you have a pretty good deck that matches up with the GvG-era Grinder Priest that I remember so fondly.
Pint-Size Potion is for me a 10/10 not only is a card useful in itself but comboes with halr priest cardpool. Also when in april we lost Entomb this card is one of the few that can let us dispose of 4 strength guys. Consider it a "core" card.
Kabal Talonpriest is a 7/10 good for itself and, if we get early minions ( the new 2/2, the pyromancer :) or even norhshire) is a great card. In a n'zoth meta i like more the dark cultits but is a great card anyway.
Potion of Madness is good for a 5/10 ( a 6/10 with pin sized) Normaly theres not so many 2 attack minions in some decks and in early turns they can be alone( so no suicide) as shadow madness is a useful card but nort defining by itself.
Dragonfire Potion uffff a 6/10* is a hard cleaner and thats good. Dont kill dragons ( hi azure turn five drake) and hits your minions. As with lightbomb i probably play one in every deck ( most fron april as escavated evil goes out) but if i dont get 2 from the pack ill wait to craftthe second copy for a time.
Drakonid Operative 6/10 as it fits in dragon decks greatly and for the card choice. Is an autoinclude ? nop but is a great card in some priest decks.
Said so i think priest has received till now a good pool of cards but nort as overwhelming as Shaman had. That is good , is my secondprefered class and i dont want it to be broken but i like to see it strong. Also the natural counters of priest also received some card to "control" the buff.
They are absolutely crazy. Priest meta is incoming.
Pint sized potion is the most anti fun garbage ever printed. the worst part is that there are still a bunch of priest players moaning and bitching.
Damn, looks like Priest will be rocking both wild and standard in the following months. I'll go and prepare my tissues, they are going to be salty af.
