Reno, Reno everywhere.
This deck combines Shadowform with a Reno Jackson Highlander Control Deck. Reno negates the downside of Shadowform.
I want to share this list with you and wait for some feedback. It's just a cool deck and i don't care about winrates, easy legend or something else. But i climbed easy form 17 to 6 in 4 days, without playing that much.
Mulligan: 3 or less mana cards, with coin maybe a 4 mana card. Always keep Reno and Shadowform!
Sideboard: Frost Giant, Molten Giant, Garrison Commander, Zombie Chow, Sylvanas Windrunner, Acidic Swamp Ooze, Power Word: Glory, Kezan Mystic, Thoughtsteal, Bolf Ramshield (if you face a lot of OTK decks like Freeze Mage, Malygos decks or the new Anyfin Can Happen decks)
Matchups:
- Mill-Juggernaut-Warrior isn't beatable!
- won against all other decks so far
- OTK decks are very hard to beat
- control matchups are favoured
Hints:
- You can use your hero power twice a turn if you play Shadowform after using it the first time.
- Doomsayer is great, but it need a little bit practice to finde the right point. The best situation is turn 2 into Shadowform turn 3. Chow is an option if you don't like Powerpord Glory.
- If you expect Jaraxxus, save Holy Fire to rush him down.
- Deathlord is best, when you have MCT, Shadow Madness or Lightbomb in hand.
I just got my golden Priest, ~400 wins with Shadowform decks! :)
update: I reworked the deck an added Brann Bronzebeard and some new cards, climbed to rank5 with 5-0 winstreak.
update 13.12.15: Welcome Elise Starseeker! The League of Explorers is nearly complete.
update 09.03.16: Kibler played Shadow Reno Priest yesterday on his stream. Noxious was playing Shadow Reno Priest as well:
How about Velen instead of Mind Control?
imo, Jeweled Scarab and Tomb Spider are much better than Novice Engineerand Gnomish Inventor
why not like a Coldlight Oracle and Bloodmage Thalnos?
Deathlord too much of a liability (most recently T-3 Antonitas for opponent) - taking him out, adding BGH.
I should have added that I don't have Lightbomb, so I think I need him. Tks.
i try to wait to play deathlord until i have a way to remove something nasty if possible
Made an account just to say this deck takes WAY too long to develop, if you're not lucky enough to get any of the shadow forms or control cards within the first 4 turns, you lose the game EVERY time unless the enemy is dumb
Really found this exciting. Made me try it, adapt it a bit and have alot of fun... but then i was brought back to reality by three disgusting palis in a row.
In renos decks as this one, we actually need a bit of luck to pick the right cards to be able to fight against the prideless cancer bringers
This deck is the most fun I've ever had playing HS!
Question: is Vol'jin (I replaced with Cabal Shadow Priest) worth crafting? I have 1600 dust to spend, but I'm an FTP player, so I have to be careful what I spend my dust on. FYI, I don't have any of the other priest-legendaries either.
Vol'jin is definitively worth crafting. In Control Priest, I find him incredibly potent already, especially against handlock. In this deck in particular, he's even better, having great synergy with Shadowform.
The real question is, do you have anything you'd like to craft before? Some neutrals, like Ysera, Sylvanas Windrunner or Justicar Trueheart, are really good in Priest but can be used elsewhere.
The other priest legs are fine too, but slower and harder to play correctly in general. They wouldn't fit in this deck as much as Vol'jin does.
Thank you for the response. And good reminder re the great Vol'jin synergy with Shadowform, seems like a no-brainer but I totally missed it!
Yes, I have those other legends that you mentioned. The only debate I am having is should I craft Jaraxxus instead, because I also enjoy playing RenoLock. Thoughts? Appreciated.
Hm. Lord Jaraxxus sure is really good, and clearly better than Vol'jin, but you should also balance that with how much you want to play those two classes.
I personally main priest, so Jaraxxus, as great as he is, just sit in my collection, while Vol'jin does wonders in my Control Priest.
But he is a staple in Handlock and Renolock, so if you like both classes, without a really strong preference for priest, I guess he would be a better and more reasonable choice for now.
And I say that even though I really, really like Vol'jin x) But yeah, Jaraxxus is a safe choice.
OK, thanks, I am still deciding, tough choice!
EDIT: I am going to go Jaraxxus. I started a separate thread and as you can see (link below) pretty much everyone said Big J is the way to go. Thanks again for your thoughts.

Hello, All!
First I want to compliment you for this build, Fliesnmalauk. Thanks to it, I finally take pleasure playing Priest. :)
That said, after a bit of testing, I changed your build a little by removing both Elise Starseeker, Novice Engineer, Unstable Ghoul, Gnomish Inventor and Mind Control and by adding,Shrinkmeister,Thoughsteal, Cabal Shadow Priest,Sylvanas, Confessor Paletress and I must confess that it works far better on the ladder. Especially against Warrior and Shaman.
Then, I have a question for you: why do you exactly play Elise Starseeker? In which way Elise increase your winrate and against who? I ask this because, I have really no idea nor clue... (but as I said ,I'm not well versed in the arcane of the Light: usually I do not play so much Priest...)
Thank for all.
HF and GG!
For me, Elise helps against fatigue decks. Played against a control priest this morning and if not for Elise's adding cards to my deck I would have lost due to fatigue damage - and the monkey gave me Al Akir (Sp?) in my hand FTW :-)
Oh, okay, I see. Well, I do not encounter so much fatigue deck or beat them before we enter fatigue, but it makes sense. Thank you for the answer.
Any replacement for Vol'jin? Does this deck has enough removal without Vol'jin? If so, I will just put Sylvanas Windrunner in.
replace For elise ?
this deck doesn't stand a chance against control warriors atm
Even if it's true, there isn't many control warriors nowadays.
