Yes I play Justicar in my Shaman deck, but spirit claws won't be good in that deck.
I think this card has potential in midrange totem shaman. It is not like shaman has many weapons, thus it can be sitting around for a while (assuming it is not gettting oozed)
And Light's Justice can do a 4 for 1, it's the best card ever!!!
No but seriously, a 1/3 weapon is horrible, you absolutely need spellpower to make it good, and there is no reliable way to get that early on except with Thalnos, or that 2/2 kobold thingy if you're truly desperate. Later you might have it active for a single turn after getting lucky totems and Azure Drakes, in which case it's sort of a situational slightly improved Rockbiter Weapon. It's only after Justicar that it becomes good, and that will on average happen after you've drawn 15 cards.
The whole Justicar Trueheart thing was kind of what this conversation thing quickly ended up at, check the top of the chain ^^
I just don't think it's impactful enough. Using the hero power more than normal just to gamble on the right totem seems pretty weak, getting the wrong one could very well throw the game. Azure Drake is reliable, but I'd wager you won't draw more than one per game in the typical case, and on turn 5+ having a single 3 damage attack is far less useful than early on (and you might want to equip Doomhammer instead).
Holding the weapon for versatility isn't free either, it costs you a card and a mana to equip. Having a 1-damage ping is useful, but is it more useful than the card you replace to include it?
It's just not impactful enough to me. Every other card typically found in a Shaman deck seems better.

The problem with this card is that in house, Shaman really only has it's Spell Damage Totem to turn it on. Sure, you can add the Blood Mage and some Kobolds, but honestly I don't see why you would want to use the Kobolds and the blood mage is 1 card out of thirty.
It's insane if you can get the totem or Thanos, but just seems too unreliable to me. Could be wildly off base though, too.
True, but Azure Drake doesn't turn this on T2, when (as Warrior has shown) you REALLY want that 3 power weapon.
The Spirit Clause - If they play Spirit Claws, they will roll a Spell Damage totem.
No, Spirit Clause brings presents to all the good little ghost boys and girls.
