Vote For Your Favourite Community Created Tavern Brawls
It's time once again to vote for a winner in a card design competition.
This week, we required you to design a new Tavern Brawl.
Competition-Specific Restrictions:
- You must design a new Tavern Brawl!
- Provide a summary of your idea using the tooltip information box, located under the "More" section of Hearthcards. The title of your Tavern Brawl must be included in the tooltip.
- You may include up to five (5) custom cards/tokens that might be used in your Tavern Brawl.
- If your concept requires additional explanation, you can write about it further in your submission. The tooltip box is to get across the main idea of your TB, much like what Blizzard does.
This Week's Finalists
Out of 40 entries, we've narrowed it down to 8 of the community's favourites. Check out the finalists below and then head on over to the final poll to vote, vote, vote! Tokens, as usual, can be viewed in the voting thread.
- Banned Classes: Warlock
- Banned Cards: Coldlight Oracle , Hemet, Jungle Hunter , Myra's Unstable Element , Cursed Blade , Volcano , Reno Jackson , Nozdormu
- Wild Cards Are Allowed

-The Tavern Brawl is Wild friendly.
-Mulligan happens normally: alphabetical drawing starts after mulligan is complete.
-If you have duplicates, say 2x Acherus Veteran and 2 Arcane Intellect, you draw the 2 Acherus Veterans first.

You can have no more than 30 cards, but you can have a smaller deck if you run out of power.

New Rules of Engagement is basically the First Strike mechanic from Magic the Gathering, I'd love to see it implemented in a Brawl.
That awkward moment when Hearthstone Fans come up with Tavern Brawls for free that are better than the Tavern Brawls Blizzard is paying someone to come up with...
Wow. These are all top-notch. MAKE IT HAPPEN BLIZZ!
Awesome ideas, congrats to the finalists
darwin seems fun, although it is quite deck restricting. because you can't really play a lot of minions because you can't attack with them. also you will help rogues to kill themselves. so you basically have to just play lots of burn spells.
curse of the worgen. i like it because there is no huge ability that changes the entire game, and while that's fun, it can usually be broken by just playing X with Y.
I have no time for games. I really do like this one, it seems like it could really be an interesting and fast game mode that might get a lot of play after the initial pack reward. but it is not very practical because tablet/phone users would just die.
weasel evolution. its like it, seems like a lot of fun, and interesting deck building choices. I think it is my favorite.
new rules of engagement. MAGMA RAGER!!!
care for a wyrd game? not bad, but as someone already pointed out, it would not work with other languages. so before this could work, blizzard would have to change the match making system to account for languages as well.
the price of power. I don't really like it because the game plays out exactly the same, and the only difference is how you build your deck. and while some brawls also only change the deck building, they do it in a way that changes how the game is played also. this just feels kinda boring when actually playing a match.
Unethical experiments. seems interesting, I actually really like it because when you think about it, totem shaman might be a thing :)
I would pick Priest. And keep healing my opponents face :D
The Darwin one is actually insanely creative as we have seen in the past when Kripparrian tried to do it on stream.
Sure.
"I have no time for games" is terrible for anyone playing on a phone or tablet.
"Care for a Wyrd game" means every game will be exactly the same, which is terrible.
You play Weapons?
Your opponent plays Mage with 0 minions and tons of burn spells. Good luck with all your Weapons.
Darwin is a nice idea but quite bad design as it is, since 95%+ of minions cannot be played. Once it gets figured out, the class with the best self damaging spells (or healing spells) will always win. No interaction at all.
Care For a Wyrd Game is interesting but impossible due to localization. You never know what language your opponent use in his HS client, especially on EU server.
Although, if Blizzard can manage matchups according to client localization it would create different combos in different languages. This is awesome!
"I have no time for games" should become a seperate game mode!
Darwin Awards is easy - any weapon class or anti-heal priest.
