Marvelously Magnetic
Dr. Boom designed many of the Mechs that can be found in The Boomsday Project with Magnetic capabilities! Mechs with the power of this new keyword can merge with other Mechs as you play them to tackle even the toughest of tasks!
Simply place your Magnetic Mech to the left of any Mech you’ve already got on the board and they’ll fuse ALL their stats and card text together into a bigger, more powerful minion! Need them to stay independent? No problem. Just place your Mech down to the right of an existing Mech (or next to any non-Mech minions), and they’ll stay un-plugged to handle smaller tasks (and avoid getting blown up by powerful single-target effects or removal).
Watch the video and follow along as Stephen explores the power of these Magnetic marvels!
Will you combine your Mechs into gigantic mechanical juggernauts? Or keep them un-plugged to operate autonomously? Test out your designs on August 7 when The Boomsday Project commences!
I totally forgot about that - and I guess maybe projects also. Just a little less cool :)
OK server admins you can relax.
whoa, so only 3 classes are getting mechs? Seems like there will be neutrals that will probably be popular, but still am surprised at only 3 classes. Shaman seems like a perfect fit as they were one of the better mech decks previously and it makes sense since they harness electricity.
Honestly shaman is the only class that could (in theory) make a mech just using their own powers. This is an Injustice!
Yeah pretty dumb imo. In wild rogue has the mech that gives another mech +2/+2 at the end of the turn. Seemed like a natural choice to include rogue as well, but I guess it makes more sense to give really nichey meme cards like Myra's unstable whatever.
Seems like a missed opportunity that won't come again for awhile.
Yeah, I think you nailed the biggest news of this hearthside chat. I wonder what will the other classes get instead of those mechs?
They only said that those 3 classes will focus on mechs and have magnetic. Most likely meaning we will see mechs in some of the other classes, but they won't get any mech synergy cards besides what will be in neutral
Except you can't, because you HAVE to place Magnetics on the right, meaning you can't use them to position.
Could happen only if Mechwarper had Magnetic, since he doesnt, its better to still use Glinda to get a full board
Combo has nothing to do with mechawarper being magnetic, you just play Glinda and 5 warpers to have huge discount on mechs, and then attach bunch of magnetics onto mechwarpers.
Who knew that Target Dummy would become a meta defining card
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Only Magnetic support to Warrior, Hunter and Paladin tho? Damn that's frustrating for me as Rogue player :'(
But HEY rogues get to draw & burn their entire deck as a last ditch effort coin flip! Isn't that more exciting!?
A 3 attack rush minion with a lot of health, that can be taken out very easily next turn with a variety of cheap single target removal? Yeah, the combo would be reasonable.
for 9 mana two cards and a turn of delay, yeah it seems reasonable
Because of the rush keyword, I think Ziliax wants to be comboed with another mech in the same turn. Something with a lasting effect you want to protect, but with enough stats to make good trades.
That or maybe like this video, to cap off your already impressive mech.
Yeah! Blizzard gave me something on my birthday!
Your opponent isn't just going to kindly pass their turn and not attack your steambot after dropping it.
Plus, having played many mech decks myself in wild you don't want to be playing a card that doesn't impact the board and is essentially a 4 mana do nothing turn. Mechs are high tempo decks.
So... Does this mean Meteor got a buff or a nerf?
What do you mean? I don't get IT.
Neither, as Meteor has not been changed. :P
Since people can choose whether to attach the minions or play them individually, they can actually play around Meteor, or rather particular board clears in general. For instance, if you know your opponent still has a Flamestrike left in their deck - stack 'em up, but if you expect single-target removal - spread 'em out.^^
Right, but you they can also now play INTO meteor more heavily thanks to multiclass Blessing of Kings up there. Plus the little mechs may take the 3 side damage, which can kill, say, Spider Bomb. Not to mention how much thought you have to put into positioning. So... Stronger against bad players, weaker against pros maybe?
(it's always super effective to Kripp tho)
