An Evil Exchange is This Week's Brawl
Kel'Thuzad and Rafaam are competing to see who the superior endboss is! Take a side and battle for evil supremacy!
Trivia
- This is the second time we've seen this brawl.
- An Evil Exchange made its debut on March 23, 2016.
- Special emotes are active during the brawl, check them out!
- Kel'Thuzad's hero power has changed from the first time we saw this brawl.
- Originally, his Hero Power resurrected a random minion of his that died that game.
How it Works
- Press the Brawl button and get randomly assigned one of the heroes, Kel'Thuzad or Rafaam.
- Each boss is quite unique with brawl-only cards and feel like they're from their respective adventures.
Kel'Thuzad
- You have 60 effective health through 30 health and 30 armor.
- Your hero power is Necromancy which adds a random minion from Naxxramas to your hand.
- His deck contains cards which emulate the bosses of the Curse of Naxxramas adventure.
- Make use of his hero power early on instead of playing a minion. There's fantastic potential for value!

Kel'Thuzad's Unique Spells
Rafaam
- You have 60 health, and no armor.
- Your hero power is Staff, First Piece which adds a random rare to your hand. The rare card costs (2) less. So much value!
- Your hero power can be upgraded throughout the game through Uncover Staff Piece. We suggest using it ASAP.
- The first upgrade of your hero power, Staff, Two Pieces, adds a random epic to your hand. The epic costs (3) less.
- The second and final upgrade of your hero power, Staff of Origination, adds a random legendary to your hand. The legendary costs (4) less.
- Your first stage of the hero power is good but not necessarily worth using when you have other options in-hand, at least during the early game. Once upgraded though, it's op!
- Save any removal cards you come across to deal with Kel'Thuzad's annoying minions.

Discuss this Brawl
Head on over to our dedicated discussion thread for this week's Brawl!
Is there some matchmaking rule preventing me from ever getting Rafaam? I have been Rafaam once and won. For the past 10 games, I have auto-conceded once getting KT, and upon re-lauch, I am always KT again.
The problems are that if KT doesn't curve out at the beginning he loses to Rafaam from hero power alone with his discounts, KT has some great cards that are just too expensive, and rafaam has 0 cost AOE and a hero power that lets him play good minions on the turn, not to mention way more spells than KT, which has secrets that don't work the way you want them too sometimes.
The only time that I won using Kel'Thuzad is by duplicating Stalagg and Feugen then summoning Kel'Thuzad = unlimited Thaddius.
All in all, that deck is not good. It has so many high value cards that you choke in the long run because you wouldn't be able to do a combo.
KT sucks balls. No board clear and cards costs are too high for their value.
You can loose by Rafaam only if u place a cat to play instead of you... but im not sure that even cat will loose it.
Kt wins wtf chat?! FailFish
This brawl sucks... Get KT, you concede.. but on top of that, I get KT 20 times, and Rafaam 3 times. And naturally the opponent concedes as well. This brawl is the brawl of "Play no cards, just win or loose."
Terrible... just terrible...
LOL 6 games as KT 100% win rate easy all dumb opponents Blizzard is balanced
First game I played as Rafaam and I thought, this is fun.
Today, however, I got to play as Kel'Thuzad a couple of times and yeah, this is not a brawl. If you get Rafaam, you win. If not, you lose. That's not a game.
At least with a coin flip it's still you flipping the coin.
unless the rafam player is retarded, no way kel wins, terrible balance brawl... shame on the developers
First time played, got Kel'Thuzad. Won it after 20 minutes. Got my pack. Returned to ladder. Why there is hype on "Rafaam is op"?
I mean it wasnt even close for him to defeat me. I will definetely try another time today.
my first game was kel and i got Zombie chow three. fucking. times. with his hero power
Kelthuscrub is garbage
Mulligan well and play on curve and use that hearthstone skill and KT is a beast and hard to beat. I am at around 80% winrate with KT.
I literally had the shittiest luck with KT he fucking sucks.
Kel'Thuzad blows.
Had 10+ matches in this brawl. Kel has won not a single one. Rafaam just has not only a REALLY GREAT VALUE from his hero power but also has a response for any of KT's moves. KT is just unfairly weak and this really shows up in the late game where you have 4-5 minions in your hand but can't play more than one bc of high prices. Also no boardclear, really bad hero power (compared to Rafaam's) and not really strong minions.
But at least you can play KT's cat
10/10 buff KT
My first game+first win was on KT .... must have gotten SUPER lucky bc haven't seen KT win since then... 30+ games deep ... literally just conceding if I get KT at this point.
