Dark Wispers & Fandral Staghelm Interaction Hotfix
Ah, the unintended side effects of new cards. Sorry Dark Wispers, no more giving Heroes Taunt!
No taunt for you!
Quote from DaxxarriWe’ve implemented a hotfix that corrects an issue with the interaction between Dark Wispers and Fandral Staghelm.
The Dark Wispers buff can now only be cast on minions as intended.
Old Gods, New Tricks - Win a 3D Printed Hearthstone Card!
We've teamed up once again with MyMiniFactory.com to hold a special card design competition. With the release of Whispers of the Old Gods this week, there's never been a better time for a competition with a sweet grand prize.
We've got a couple of different themes this time around, and it's very important that you read all about them in the submission thread. All the themes are filled with Old Gods flavor so make sure you get in touch with your dark side before creating your card. So, you were probably wondering what the winner was going to get, weren't you? Well..
One grand prize winner will take home a copy of their card 3D Printed from our friends at My Mini Factory!
But Flux, surely that isn't the only thing you're giving away.. and you're right! We've got details coming forward soon about a secondary opportunity to win another 3D Printed card, so stay tuned to our news for more info!
So what are you waiting for, go read all the competition rules (and carefully so, C'Thun is watching!), create your own card, and submit it to the Old Gods, New Tricks submission thread! We're also encouraging you to post your creations on Twitter, make sure you include the hashtag #OldGods3D and to mention @HearthPwn and @MyMiniFactory in your tweet! Show the world your creation!
Deck Spotlight: It's a Choose One Party!
Damn it feels good to be a deck spotlighter.
Tonight, for the first time in what feels like an eternity, we're turning back on the deck spotlight! Tonight that light shines on KuBBis who brings us a Druid deck which makes use of Fandral Staghelm (in a legitimate, not bug-abusing way) and plenty of Choose One cards to tear apart your opponents.
The deck is still in the early stages of being built, but there's a short guide up on how to play it and other community members are having an absolute blast playing it. So if you opened up Fandral, or you've got the dust kickin' around for this baller, check out the deck!

Hearthstone Office Mural
The Hearthstone Offices got an Upgrade! today. A stained glass mural featuring the famous stained glass Hearthstone art of Jian Guo (breath-art, or the artist formerly known as Breathing2004). It's quite breathtaking.
I'm sure that the Wispers / Staghelm bug is giving the designers some ideas for future expansions.
i'm glad that its fixed!
If face plays taunt, me still go face! SMOrc
for a real hero the enemy face always has taunt!
Rip the greatest bug of all time.
fix the outsending chat bubbles!
Sorry Malfurion, Gul'dan beat you to this sort of thing.
Damn it toast!! why did you told them!!
Kinda pathetic Blizzard didn't catch that bug. You'd figure any card with a Choose One would have been at least looked at with Fandral's effect on the board. But, nope!
How does Fandral Staghelm work with transform choose ones? Does it summon two minions in case of for example Druid of the Claw or one of them, but it will give it both taunt and +2hp and charge?
U got 1 minion....6/6 taunt and charge.
Actually, Blizz made new cards for just these situations: you get a minion with benefits of both.
Druid of the Claw
Druid of the Flame
and so on.
Wow, thats a nice touch! cool :)
Nice!
i love great stained glass art, really something else.
also rip Dark Wispers name
These bugs would be discovered before release if they wouldn't limit testing to "friends and family". Hearthstone needs a legitimate beta test. If so we'd been saved the suffering of the last several months and years of broken cards and broken combos that their "testing" function didn't catch.
Maybe... but i think the no-beta has its benefits. Is a "fresh" start. New cards. Nobody is sure where the meta is going. You can play somethig difernt. Also with a public beta could be a lot of guides from day 1. Recipies to follow or you are playing "wrong". I know only last a few days, maybe weeks but i thinnk is worth it.
Misha with food poisoning?
lol nice bug... it's nice for hero to have taunt you know ?
they should make it a spell for the next expansion... :)
