Amazon Coin Promotion is Back
Deal Ends February 12, 2016!
The famous Amazon Coin promotion is back for the next few days which allows you to buy card packs from them for much cheaper than directly from Blizzard. This offer appears to only be active in the US, but anyone can take part in it by switching your region on Amazon to US. So, how does it work?
- Buy Amazon Coins. Discounts start at 4% and go up to 15%.
- Download and install the Amazon Appstore onto your Android device followed by downloading Hearthstone from the Amazon app. This also works on emulators.
- Login to Hearthstone on your device and buy card packs from the shop with your coins.
But wait, there's more! Not only do you get a discount on card packs which enables you to get more for less, but you also get the benefit of getting 20% of your Amazon Coins spent in Hearthstone refunded back to your account so you can buy even more card packs!
If you're looking to pickup some Goblins vs Gnomes packs before Standard comes out so you have a better GvG roster for Wild, this deal definitely makes it hurt less.

Posted Feb 12, 2016 (Explorers)It's February 12th now, and the Amazon Coins discount has been upgraded to 20% from 15%... I wish there was a better way to track or anticipate these price shifts. I can survive not getting the highest discounts, but I just stocked up on 200k non-refundable coins yesterday in anticipation of the sale going away... instead of getting better.

Posted Feb 8, 2016 (Explorers)They didn't last year-ish either IIRC, when they offered 50% back. Got a lot of free packs then, had $30-something in credit, so I snagged $20 in packs, $10 + $10 back for another $20, $10 back, $5 back, then $3s til it was gone.

Posted Feb 7, 2016 (Explorers)I wonder what % of players actually spend money on packs. To me, buy adventures if anything. $20 for 2800 gold worth of wings instead of just 1500 gold worth of packs.
Also my appstore on my phone is Google and no easy way to change to Amazon once you download it.

Posted Feb 7, 2016 (Explorers)The Google app atore is different, and completely separate, from the Amazon app store, and you can have both running at the same time. You should be able to download the APK file from Amazon here (either browse the link on your phone, download and share via PC, or copy to MicroSD card) and install. Amazon has brief instructions here on how to enable "Unknown Sources" to allow it to install.

If so, sad to say, you would need to uninstall Hearthstone then redownload from amazon. Really crappy, I know, but Google has no incentive to offer a game that supports Amazon payments, and vice versa.
