Copying a buffed minion from your side or opponent saves a lot of games. Gral will give you big buffs on occasion on turn one and draws you needed cards early on.
You have to keep in mind the health aspect of it. If the imps or other minions on the board do not have a 1/2 health combo constantly up then it will cancel the defile. You have to make sure the imp health is a 1 / 2 combo so every time one dies and respawns there is still another one with 1 hp left to continue the defile cycle.

Glad you made it through, but yes that’s why i usually try to have 2-3 minions up to bring his HP down fast :)

I went 12-2 multiple times already. Great deck of played correctly although i swapped out some changes to play it better.
I replaced Giggling Inventor for Gral, the Shark
And i replaces Gnomish Inventor for Faceless Manipulator
