Kaladin posted a message on No more duplicate Legendaries starting with the next expansion!!!Posted in: General DiscussionOh shit. Also was pointed out, this "guaranteed legendary in the first 10 packs" applies per set. So if you're brand new and buy 10 packs from each set, that's a guaranteed legendary from each set.

Blue_Banana_whotookthisname posted a message on What is the best designed 6 mana neutral? (Preliminary round)Posted in: Card DiscussionI just checked your threads for best designed class cards. For some reason, back then people actually voted interesting cards like Echo of Medivh that won the mage poll, but in these polls people are mostly either voting the most played cards or the cards that counter aggro the most for each mana slot.

bradipedro posted a message on What are the best designed 1, 2 and 3 mana neutrals? (finals)Posted in: Card DiscussionIf well designed neutrals means versatile, surviving metas, being played by different heroes all over again throughout the seasons & won matches just sticking on board, being buffed or thrown at the very last sec making a difference, then my answer is
squire / thalnos / acolythe
although...5 minutes of silence in memory of the One Leper Gnome pre-nerf, double leper gnome + kill command + hero got me a golden hunter once upon a time..

jferrante831 posted a message on What are the best designed 1, 2 and 3 mana neutrals? (finals)Posted in: Card Discussionvoted fire fly, thalnos and stonehill because they are great cards that can be played on curve and generate value. thalnos is the least likely to be played on curve unless you have a bad hand, but hes just so unique, especially at the 2 mana slot.

Tze posted a message on Wild: the most popular game mode in 2017?Posted in: Wild FormatWild is unfriendly IMO simply because having to craft cards you can no longer get in packs is somewhat prohibitive, as well as Wild just having a massive card pool. You're probably fine crafting Boom, Belchers, Chows, etc. but thats hardly the end of the list and you'd still need to know those were the best cards.
I don't think it's something people won't figure out on their own quickly, but there's a reason Blizzard is pushing Standard for new players.

ZeroAndKira posted a message on What is the best designed paladin card? (part 1)Posted in: PaladinI'm voting for Ivory Knight. It's a heal, a draw and it gives a clue to the opponent in a cool way as to which card you got from it. Overall it's a very cleverly designed card.
Sure a card like Tirion is really good, but good does not equal well designed.

Being good at playing the game doesn't necessarily correlate to prediction ability.

Two expansions ago, I ran a series of polls to determine the best designed Hearthstone cards.
A summary of the poll is included below
https://www.reddit.com/r/hearthstone/comments/5fy313/a_summary_of_the_best_designed_hearthstone_class/
I learned a lot conducting that series of polls and will try to expedite things here.
The neutrals will be broken into 7 brackets, with 0 mana ignored and 7+ mana lumped together. After 3 days of prelims, the finals for mana cost 1-3 will be run concurrently.

I'll prolly try him in my battlecry shaman deck. It isn't a great deck, but I like playing it.
2
Seems terrible to me. Only good with bolster/ grimy goons, but then you can't play it on curve.

Jade golem will be weird in arena. It will dominate hard thanks to the occurance bonus, but become super garbage when the next set releases.

Will it kill 0 cost minions? What about giants?

Every day I'll submit 20 Hearthstone cards, and people will vote on which they think is the best designed (mechanically, not artistically).
Any card that gets more than 5% of the vote will advance to the next round.
Each class will get broken into 3 polls, with winners advancing to a
class finals.
druid finals winner: Fandral Staghorn
hunter finals winner: eaglehorn bow
Mage finals winner: Echo of Medivh
