I just played a priest v. druid. I was priest and was dominating. Around turn four it was clear the druid was going to lose. So then he decided to started to rope every turn. His choices weren't difficult, and I could tell that he really sucked (well he Wild Growthed on turn 9 so I assume he sucks).
I think his only chance of winning was to enrage me by taking so long that I quite the game. Is that a legit strategy or just really poor sportmanship. It ticked me off, but I stuck it out to the end. I think people who rope in order to force a concede in frustration are total losers.

How about a card back? Something?
I think it is fine. I mean gamers spend HOURS trying to get a perfect run without deaths in Volgar the Viking, and what do they get an "achievement." That's it. So pretty much Heathstone is giving you an opportunity to take a screenshot and brag to your friends, as an achievement. Seems consistent with other achievement models we gamers adore. (But I also think a card back is fine too, but then others would complain that they are money grubbing and that a poor gamer can't get all the card backs unlike other card backs they get just from laddering).
Love this card. It won't see upper legend play, but it can help give lower ranks a win condition. Great common card. Reminds me of the 7/6 For 8 mana in MTG, no abilities. That card won me so many games when I had a very small collection.
Well how should we evaluate the cards then? If we're not allowed to compare the cards to the current cards, decks and meta how should we do it? Should we theorize about other cards that might come now or in a future expansion. "yeah this card is going to be great if they add a card that buff this card by 200% and gives it windfury and stealth".
And is there something wrong to write it off? It's okey to under- or overvalue a card. Just cuz you say it sucks now doesn't legally bind you to never ever under any circumstances whatsoever play it in the future. Wouldn't the critique be something blizz is intrested to recive? Oh okey the people want much rng effects, okey, then we know for the future, or in rare cases the might nerf or buff a card.
You should reject the Meta and just use your imagination for a while. Give it time. If it doesn't work in a best case scenario, then maybe it won't work. I agree with the OP 100%
People, Shaman got the second worst upgrade, the worst being Hunter. Let's say, you and your opponent have similar RNG, and got Justicar out on turn 6, because if you got better RNG you would've won, and true vice versa. If your opponent is Mage/Druid, they can just clear your totems with hero power EVERY TURN. If it's Rogue/Paladin they can out-value your totems. Priest and Warrior can stall until fatigue, in which they'll just out-fatigue you, and Priest can use Auchenai Soulpriest to deal 4 damage to your minions as well. Warlock will just out-card you, in Shaman-mirror omg looks at those Stoneclaw totems staring into each other. Even Hunter will just out-face you.
Please, just realize how bad this is for Shaman, because Shaman only got its RNG removed, while all other classes are getting PURE VALUE.
yes it is worse for Shaman. But that doesn't mean it is bad for shaman. Just because their upgrade isn't as good as others doesn't mean that it won't be an amazing card in a shaman totem deck. Or that this is bad for Shaman.
I'm guessing at least for the first half of your question, that it will go back down to 2 damage. Currently Shadowform just replaces the old hero power as seen in a few games versus Priest with Nefarian.
Further it is much less random than MTG, since you are guaranteed mana each turn. Where MTG randomness was depenent on getting enoubgh or too many lands. So I find this one much less random.
I'm impressed by some of the cards. Hero power modifications have been something I have wanted for quite some time.
But I personally would have LOVED to see a darker theme in this expansion. GvG is really 'light' and 'goofy' and so is this. I would have liked to see something more 'serious' and 'dark' like BrM was. And the theme itself doesn't feel that 'strong' like it was in GvG, this feels like totally random minions without any connections.
Also so far we haven't seen that many tools against aggro and people were hoping for it. This feels like blizzard tries to encourage people to play late game.. but they need to do more than that to stop aggro.
But we have over 100 cards we haven't seen so too early to make assumptions :D

Would you use Poison Blade if it had Inspire +1/+1 be overpowered? It would be a clear win condition.

Totem Golem.

I really like this card. It shows that not all new cards need to be super competitive. It is a decent good card. Not a game changer on top tier.

I like this card. Not every card has to be super competitive. This might work in an inner fire deck, maybe.
