posted a message on List the most extreme ways you completed a quest (4 yseras)

I had the quest to play 10 8 cost minions.  I finished it by playing 4 yseras in one game.  I was a big druid against a c'thun priest.  Rank 22 quest farming.  I used that gotlet treasure that fills your hand with your next draw.  I drew ysera, and the following 5 tuns played themselves.  Really it was their bodies that did most of the damage.  4/12 pretty good against priests.  Super fun game.

    Cool idea, OP.

BTW, is it OK to share a story which is not your own but someone else's?

Yes, if they are drunk and gaming and hearthstone is funny, then share

so ts halloween.  I had a long day in court and wanted to celebrate.  I broke out some vodka, put on the newest Angry Video Game Nerd, and played the newest halloween arena.  Drunk.  I went 0-3.  I thought I would do good, I watched Trumps arena run.  BUt no, my draft sucked.  I sucked.  It all sucked.  But I'm drunk, so I don't care.

share your best drunk hearthstone stories below.  Bonus points if you are drunk on a holiday and hearthstoning.

posted a message on Video Games saved my life

SI have lost everything.  But games saved my life.

I sit here, after nearly hanging myself with no where else to turn.  Considering whether it is better to slit my wrist or hang from the ceiling.  But guess what saved my life:    FUN.  Good old fastioned, unapologetic fun.

3 months ago I lost my faith in God.  Which wouldn't typically matter, but I was raised Mormon and had a bunch of Mormon kids.  Over a period of six weeks everything started to fall apart, and I remain in my home, alone with my wife an family across the country.  I felt at a bitter end, after another rough phone call from the ex.  She did nothing wrong, I did everything wrong.  The usual.

I came super close to ending it all, but I didn't.  Want to know why, because I decided that I still like to have fun.  All alone, nobody else, I can still have fun.  I can put on the newest episode of Rick and Morty and play my favorite game.  And it is still as fun as ever.  I Have a great job, criminal defense attorney in Kentucky.  I make plenty of money, but a career is not enough to keep me going.  WHat is enough to keep me going, the idea of coming home, and just having fun.  All alone, I don't care I can have fun.

So yes people can hart on video games all they want, but they give me an out.  They give me something to enjoy which doesn't rely on anyone else.  It gives me a community.  So I can say today, that video games saved my life.  I am greatful for these games, and for these gaming communities that don't care if you reject God and lost your wife.  They simply care if you want to come to the table and have fun.  So thank you Trump, thank you Day9, Thank you youtube, thank you Rick and Morty, Simpsons and that various other forms of entertainment.  And thank you blizzard.  Even if all else fails, I can fall on good old fashioned fun.  And it saved my life today.

posted a message on eSPorts considered in next olympics? What!

I agree.  They tried to have an esports olympics, it was World Cyber Gaming (WCG).  But it turned out to be south Koreans owning the rest of the world.  Eventually it didn't make enough money and esports turned home to south Korea.  MLG doesn't have the feel of olympics, it feels more like the NBA.

I would prefer a seperate esports olympics, that happened online 2 weeks after the olympics.

posted a message on This game is really agitating me!

I recommend getting really good at zoo.  Don't play any other deck but zoo until you hit rank 5.   Zoo teaches the best fundamentals. I've been playing about as long as you have, and whenever my fundamentals are slipping I use zoo to refresh.  It teaches card placement, tempo, dealing with aggro, and card advantage.  I've many pros say it is the hardest deck to play, because there are so many opportunities to misplay.  So I would watch trump teaches zoo, all the episodes, and try to get good at that one deck.  Then once you reach rank 5, try to branch out.

LOL, OP obviously started this thread to fight with others, not only to share his opinion. If you didn't realised it yet, you are very naive pal.
If I wanted to fight with people I would have posted this in a pro-LOTR forum.  THis is a pro-warcraft forum.  I am sure there are others who just watched the movie and really liked it, and think the internet is just wrong on this one.  THat is not trying to fight.  I only fought back when people attacked my intelligence (which is odd in my opinion on a movie opinion post).

"That means that only 27% of all these people, from all different backgrounds, actually recommend the film."

-- False.  Haven't seen Rotten tomatoes before?  Each movie has two different scores, one done by critics and one done by people.   YOu said "27% of all these people, from all different backgrounds."  That figure only deals with movie critics, not lots of people from lots of backgrounds.  THe Lots of people score was over 80%.  THis shows your utter lack of intelligence, are you even educated.

YOu attacked my intelligence, but how much education have you actually had?  I Have been trained in analysis, getting a degree in English literature.  Then I can a juris deoctorate and am employed as an attorney in Kentucky, haven't passed the bar on my first try after getting a full ride scholarship through law school.  So sub par intelligence, far from it.  How much education have you actually had?  COnsidering you don't even know how rotten tomatoes works, I am guessing not much.

And how am I a troll?  I posted a pro warcraft post on a forum dedicated to the warcraft genre?  I posted on the one forum where I would find like minded individuals.  THat is like the opposite of trolling.

posted a message on Warcraft > LOTR

Just came back from the Warcraft movie, want to share my impressions.  There will be no spoilers, so no fear.

I went into the movie with low expectations.  I was stoked last year, then the internet killed it this last month.  By ten minutes in the critic haters were forgotten, and I was sucked in.  I was born in the 80s and grew up in the 90s on Warcraft 1 & 2 & 3, sinking hundreds of hours on those games.  Only played twelve hours of WoW over one weekend (it was the vanilla version and sucked), and I am not interested that much in lore.  I like the startegy and the general story, but beyond that I know little.  I knew the story behind 1 & 2 very well, but forgot the specifics since I haven't played them for seventeen years.

Everyone said that the movie only makes sense if you are intimate with the lore.  THat is not true.  If it wasn't for hearthstone I wouldn't have even remembered any of the main character's names.  I mean, I never saw Guldan as a warlock as a kid, I always remembered him as a Death KNight, because that was what he was in the games I am familiar with.

THe story is really easy to follow, not complicated but very deep and extremly rich.  Much easier to follow what is happening then Lord of the Rings.

The movie is amazing, once in a lifetime experience.  The Lord of the Rings wishes it was half the movie that Warcraft was. The internet can just kiss my ass.

posted a message on How do you get the cards?

I hit that same wall you did.  Then I got a golden epic.  I disenchanted it and got the four rares that I needed to make a decent Zoo deck.  I got to rank 5 that season with virtually no legendaries.  Now it is several years later, I started before nax, and I have more legendaries.   Never put a dime in the game, still having fun.
