posted a message on Don't play ladder until they fix this!! Unearthed Raptor+any deathrattle minion combo freezes the game for the opponent

Happened to me once yesterday when opponent played raptor i froze, once today when opponent played raptor i froze, and once today where i froze when i played raptor. Sometimes with deathrattle copy and sometimes none copied.

A little information just in case a dev is reading or anyone is tracking info:

I play on amazon android client mostly, and this is where every freeze has happened.

When i cleared the mine cart game, the raptor card didnt unlock in my collection until i closed the client and restarted it. This seemed strange. Related?

All freezes have been in ranked games

I main rogue and i was theorycrafting the deck, not trying to exploit bugs

posted a message on I need some advice on what to do with my dust

I think there's a decent to good chance the oil rogue will remain the best rogue deck out there, so IMO I think you could probably craft Thalnos without worry that you wasted dust.

PERSONALLY, I would hold off til the dust settles from the new cards just in case.  I think someone else said this.

In the end, Thalnos is a pretty good legendary in a few other decks as well and even if rogue falls to lower tiers, it could be good elsewhere, like shaman for example.  They actually got good cards in the xpac, and could become a stronger class.

Has anyone ever tried Nerubian Egg?   People would definitely leave it alone unless a druid silences it.  Could be an oil target as well as giving a 4/4 after they deal with it.  Might be fun for the lols but probably not as good as shade.

posted a message on is maly rogue viable?

I'd take out 2x Burgle, 1x Sap, 1x Sinister Strike (sinister can be dead in the hand a lot)

add 1x Gadgetzan Auctioneer, 1x Loatheb, 1x Antique Healbot, 1x Earthen Ring Farseer

OP's current deck seems very weak to early aggression.  Maybe if the meta slows way down after the new cards are released, this will be something

If it was me, I'd consider cutting Assassinate for a Preparation.  What does the Shadowstep do?  I guess you try to drop the Ancient Mage multiple times?

I'd also probably drop the Dark Iron Skulker as well since you have so much AOE already.  For another Backstab or a sticky minion to buff with mage.  Shredder or Loatheb

edit: oh I missed your first sentence about the shadowstep.  I think you might be better off just taking out the ancient mage and headcrack stuff and just throw maly and emporer in your deck.  Drop the auto barbers for more dmg spells

Something like this is what I would run

    budget mech rogue
Export to BBCode Export to Cockatrice Export to MarkDown Export to Html Clone this deck
    Minion (14) Ability (15) Weapon (1)
    Loading Collection

If you don't have the the sky golems, sub in some other bigger body, threatening 5 or 6 drops.  Maybe even Azure Drake. Even though it's not as threatening of a body, it's threatening in rogue

I might even consider dropping the Fan of Knives and adding in a 3 drop mech, like Harvest Golem or Spider Tank

I've played around with a mech rogue for fun, and I have a few suggestions.  Never a budgeted version, but I'll try.

As others have said, definitely drop vanish.  It has anti-synergy with most of the minions in the deck.  Definitely don't want to return a buffed mech.

If you want to play conceals, I'd find room for Cold Blood (s).  It's a nice way to push for damage.  Especially on an annoy-o with its divine shield still.

I would drop one jeeves, preferably both.  If you have Preparation use that and a Sprint or two instead.  The problem with Jeeves is you need a near empty hand to get the cards and rogues end up holding their spells a lot of times and you don't want to blow your blade flurry or evis just for the sake of drawing another card with Jeeves.   Just my opinion tho.

Drop one Fan of Knives.  Actually I just read Cabalgriffin's post.  He said a lot of things I wanted to say.

It's rogue's nature to be a tempo class.  So basically you are trying to use that tempo to get board control.  You often find yourself blowing cards faster than your opponent to get tempo then you need to land the prep/sprint to replenish and finish.  Even mechs kinda need to play tempo in rogue, so backstab and prep's seem like must-haves, as well as that second SI agent.

2nd Mechwarper seems kinda like an auto-include to me.  I'd consider cutting auto barber to fit it in or enhance-o.

There also isnt much in the way of late game.  I've included Assassin's Blade before, and Piloted Sky Golem If he's in your collection.  the blade puts your opponent on a clock, especially if you can buff it with poison or oil.  The golem is a mech that puts some pressure on the board and can be buffed or ramped by your other cards.

posted a message on Deck tracker app for Android version?

Does anyone know if there is a working deck tracker overlay and win/loss tracker for android?  I have one for the PC and I find it helpful, but haven't had any luck with finding a working one for the android version, which is the one I have the easiest time playing.

If there is, does it slow down the game even more?

posted a message on Dragon Tempo Rogue

    Dragon Testing
Export to BBCode Export to Cockatrice Export to MarkDown Export to Html Clone this deck
    Minion (17) Ability (13)
    Loading Collection

So I went and created a dragon deck to play around with and this is what I came up with.  It's purely experimental as this is the first time using a lot of these cards for me.

Mine is probably more of a control deck than a tempo deck.  It has been fun either way and it hasn't been terrible in casual, but ranked will probably be another story.

Added 2 Sprint and 2 Preparation because it seems to be the only card draw engine rogue can get anymore.  I felt one of each was not consistent enough.  Prep can also be good to combo with Nefarian.  This is more of a later game deck anyway so you need the draw.

I found Faerie Dragon to be slightly underwhelming so I took them out.  I felt like I still had a pretty easy time having dragons.  Plus if you get one, you want to play it on turn 2, not hold it.

I'm not sold on Rend Blackhand, but so far it hasn't been that bad actually.  He is a loatheb killer , which is a crippling turn for rogues normally.  Other legendaries that I've killed so far are: Kel'thuzad, cenarius, and boom (have to kill bombs first).  Will definitely consider removing him if I continue to tweak, but for now he's fun and that's about all I'm trying to do with this right now.

I think the key to these decks is more in the mulligan.  I think you need to go for 3 cost minions, Backstab, Deadly Poison.  Maybe Hungry Dragon if you are playing a slower deck.  You have to control the board with your weapon and 3 drops then if you can make it to mid game, with semi board control and not half dead, things get easier because the mid and late game threats are hard to deal with.

On a side note, most people won't see this coming til turn 3 or later because it looks like oil rogue.

    Looks like an interesting deck.

If I were to try it, I would probably drop Gang Up because it isn't tempo at all - more like tempo loss for delayed card advantage.  I would probably drop both Antique Healbot and add two Earthen Ring Farseer's for early game since you said your early game struggles.  Healbots are amazing when you need it, but suck all other times.  Earthen rings don't give as much healing obviously but they curve out way better.

In place of the Gang Up I would add Dr. Boom just because he is Dr. Boom.  I'd also consider testing the Volcanic Drake in place of a Violet Teacher or Sylvanas Windrunner for some tempo after a blade flurry.  Again that would have to be tested because I honestly haven't even tried that card out yet.  You have less spells in this deck than an oil rogue would have for teachers so I would be hesitant to use them.  Maybe even use Piloted Shredder instead

posted a message on Return of the Kanker (Aggro Rogue) -- Updated and Refined!

I haven't had a chance to test out this exact list, but I've tried some of the cards before in my various versions.

I personally don't likeJeeves, especially 2 of them.  If you draw into a Coldlight Oracle first, I find it hard to get use out of jeeves or the oracle.  I also found myself ending up with something like a Cold Blood in my hand, but not ready to play it before Jeeves, causing me to either draw less from it or using it before I had a great target for it.  Maybe it fits your play style, but Jeeves didn't do it for me.

I prefer 2 Ironbeak Owl one Sap because it's better to silence the taunts most of the time instead of sap, because once they know what you are playing, they almost always slam the taunt back down next turn.  Sometimes you are not ready to kill them the turn you sap a taunt.

Can you explain why Backstab is here?  Is it purely for combo starters?  Or are you trying to control the board a little bit?  I haven't tried a Backstab in my deck, but other than playing against zoo, I can't see much use in it (at first glance).  If it is purely to start combos, it might serve you better to use Sinister Strike.  It only costs 1 mana more, goes thru taunts,  hits face, and synergizes with thalnos.  I've used it a few times and had mixed results.

I like the idea of only one Blade Flurry but I don't love two Shadowstep.  I found myself always having two shadowsteps and nothing to use with them.  I dropped it to one in my deck and I like it that way so far.  Maybe I'm just weird tho.  And I feel like I couldn't part with Loatheb.  Too solid and key in a lot of match ups.  A lot of times he lives more than one turn since it's so hard to remove him efficiently with his battlecry.  And he protects your board too if you have one.  He has won many games for me.

Anyway, I'm glad to see someone else playing the aggro rogue.  None of these things were meant to criticize, only expressing my opinions and experience with the cards.  Are you playing this on ladder (what rank) ?

What you say about oil rogue is correct, it is more consistent.  Sometimes, it's just fun to play something different.  I actually feel this aggro rogue is harder to play than oil rogue most of the time.  Tough decisions a lot of times.

It is also nice to have fast games.  Sometimes I only have a few minutes to play a game and may get interrupted.  I don't want to end up losing a ranked game because of having to stop playing, so i play a casual game with face rogue.  It can be fun playing on ladder as well.  You have the benefit of everyone assuming you are oil rogue so they don't mulligan properly for an aggro deck.  I felt like the match up with druid was pretty good because they end up trying for Wild Growth instead of Swipe and taunt.
