...it's halfway through January... I'll guarantee Bobby Kotick doesn't give his employees a month off for the Christmas holidays, so how are you just now getting to this?

posted a message on Returning Player Gifts - Up to 150 Packs!

Well, I mean I quit after they put that asinine battle pass into the game...  And honestly some of this announcement almost makes it seem like they're "willing" to sell you the packs at a discount instead of a straight up gift. Could be mistaken, but the Battle.net client never really updates news to speak of so...

So do the Death Knight hero cards get to call the actual DK hero a poser because he's so late to the party?

IMO it'd be better patched ASAP instead. Literally deleted the app from my ipad and computer today in protest. Suppose I'll keep lurking around here to at least find if they pull their heads out of their ***es and decide Runestones were as disgustingly greedy as we see them to be.

Well they can be used still, but gold is basically solely for booster packs now. Don't believe there's a dust change. Beyond that everything else is in Runestone payment in essence.

posted a message on Announcing Runestones - With Usage and Frequent Questions

Weeeee... I see Activision is ripping pages out of their mobile game department and giving people fake currency you have to use real money to buy. Which means you, the consumer, are getting hosed something fierce since I'll guarantee that the prices for things with Runestones will be juuuuuuust off enough that you're left with odd remainers that are worthless unless you buy more (which then just repeats the cycle).

This is literally nothing more than a blatant attempt to force players to pay up for a game that's now almost a decade old. They're quite literally stripping the ability to use gold for purchases that you could get before this update and forcing you to pry that wallet open for them instead. Every single Adventure I have was bought through hard earned gold as were most all expansions except 3 or so. I even finally shelled out for my first Battleground Perks gold purchase a few weeks ago so I could see what it was like. Now? Now anyone that wants items like that gets bent over the barrel as Activision rifles through their wallet.

Honestly the only thing I'm surprised by is the fact they didn't force you to buy booster packs with Runestones.

posted a message on Oops? Blizzard Accidentally Reveals Some Balance Changes And Then Confirms Them

Dunno about the Vile Library nerf... It's basically going from my previous comment about an 8/7 [deck]Flame Imp[/deck] on turn 3-4 to a 7/6 which is still pretty disgusting.

Celestial Alignment... The few times I've played it intentionally against an opponent is when they've got a lot of cards in their hand or have obvious things like battlecry cards that do things like Grey Sage Parrot or Corrupt minions where they're no longer getting corrupted. Vast majority of the time it's used to set up combos that become game breaking like the ol' 30something Sire Denathrius getting twice the sippage from Brann Bronzebeard.

posted a message on Celestial Alignment Nerf Incoming? Dean "Iksar" Ayala Tweets (Again!)

That's the part that's supremely irritating to me... Vile Library is pretty dang cheap at 2 mana and may only be +1/+1, but it's extremely easy to spam a boatload of imps onto the board in early game where that 1/1 suddenly cascades hard. Suddenly that 3/2 Flame Imp goes from that initial statline to 8/7 on turn 4. Even earlier if they've got the coin.

Think I'm gonna have to look and see how many brawls we actually got... I thought it was far more than the pathetic pittance we've been getting the last few months...
