They not only gave us less than what we lost (I lost way more than 300 gold due to this issue), they gave it via the gift tab on your battlenet account instead of doing it in-game when you log in. This means you can only claim in one server instead of all servers you play (Just tested this, it's true).
And ON TOP OF THAT, they put an expiration date to their gift.

Naxx - New deathrattles and deathrattle synergy, this mechanic was abandoned until WotoG and JtG
GvG - All about dem mechs, since then we've seen zero mech synergy and mabye 3 mechs total
BrM- Dragons. Now this is an exception to this theme, and that good. Dragon decks got slowly better, as every other set out in New Dragon or Dragon synergy cards, and eventually there was enough cards the some previously considered staples could be teched in or out
TGT - Inspire and other hero power shenagains. Not only did the idea of an inspire deck fall in its face (showing once more how having a set based on a gimmick is a bad idea) but the cards and therefore the mechanic were forgotten until MSoG, where a grand total of two of them were used in a janky priest OTK deck.
LoE- Discover I guess? But you can't make a discover deck as there's no discover synergy cards, so I guess this expansion dosnt have a gimmick
WoToG- The old gods, remember those guys? Oh wait they were never seen past Karazan, except N'Zoth but that's because he dosnt require your deck to be built around him like the other three do.
ONiK- Portals, didn't get any synergy and will never be seen again, honesty this adventure was such a flop I think we can gloss over it.
MSoG- The three gangs. This expansion introduced three gimmicks, which not only made it worse for new players (oh wow it's a legendary! Oh wait it's Kazakus whose only good in a deck that requires two adventures and 3k dust) but all those mechanics have all been left behind!
JtG- Quests and Elementals. Do you really think these cards will stay good? Because next expansion we'll all be playing Arthas decks from the Icecrown expansion, and then those will be left to rot because now only soldier decks are good from the Battle for Stormwind expansion.
So what's the problem you might ask, didn't that just make each expansion exciting, well yes it does but think about this, let's say your a new player and during mean streets you crafted a full on jade druid, well now that deck sucks because it got no new cards from the latest expansion, so you either have to constantly grind arena, meaning you never get to play with the cards you get, or you buy packs to stay competitive. And don't give me the you can go play wild stuff, wilds really hard to get into, why should you drop 4k dust on cards that you'll only be able to play have to time? Anyways that's my thoughts and thanks for reading this wall of text.

Okay guys, listen! Blizzard REALLY wanted to make shaman playable and lets see how they made it:
1) Tunnel Trogg. 1 mana 1/3 that has similar effect as Mana Wyrm, but slightly better, because you can buff it for more than one with a single card.
2) Totem Golem. Totem card with 3mana value for 2 mana and overload. Very good card too.
3) Tuskarr Totemic. 3/2 (2 mana stats) that gives you board presence and a chance to play not only 1 mana cost basic totems, but also 3 mana worth totems, which happens with big chance. So 3 mana card with value 3-5 mana value at random. Broken.
4) Thunder Bluff Valiant. 5 mana 3/6 (4.5 mana stats) and Inspire that gives all your totems on board +2 attack permanently. So even if you have empty board it gives you 3/6+2/2(or 3/1) on turn 7, which is already 7 mana value. If you have board of totems it gives you 10+ mana value with one hero power use.. And if you can't remove it, then opponent just spams heropower and board grows insanely fast while he doesn't even use any cards, only heropower. Broken.
5) Flamewreathed Faceless. 4 mana 7/7 and overload 2. synergizes with Trogg. Let's call it balanced, because you pay 6 mana in total for 7/7, which is very good deal still.
6) Thing from Below. 6 mana 5/5 Taunt. A bit below average if no totems were played, but playing it for 0-3 mana in mid-lategame is definately broken for those aggro, tempo, midrange decks.
7) Spirit Claws. 1 mana 1/3 weapon. If you have spell power minions it can deliver 9 damage total for only 1 mana. You can also trade into 1 health minions without spell power minions. It is a broken card for aggro, tempo, midrange decks.
8) Maelstrom portal. 2 mana deal 1 damage to all minions and summon random 1-cost minion. Seems okay, right? Except mage has Arcane explosion, which doesn't summon 1-cost minion and it's the same cost of the spell. Broken card, especially due to spell power totem and Bloodmage Thalnos, Azure Drakes they run in these decks.
All these cards they gifted to the class, which has already a ton of burst damage cards, so the question is what were they thinking?
Have you ever thought about how much damage is Doomhammer and 2 Rockbiters in total? These 3 cards deliver 30 damage. Obviously most of the time it goes to face. Add Lava Bursts, Lightning Bolts on top of that and don't forget Hex, which is the best removal in the game for big threats and it doesn't even have negative effects, only problem is frog is taunt and beast, but that's nothing.
Blizzard should really reconsider their choises of printing broken cards. They pushed shaman way too hard and made it tier 0 deck.
