Cheers for the feedback: I was mostly interested in how Pirate Warrior, Questlock and Buff Paladin fare against it.

Good to hear Mozaki and Face Hunter are viable too.

Good season so far I have to say: Kind of reminds me of the power levels of Kobolds and the Dr.Boom expansions.

A new Thread question maybe, but I take it Outlands, Scholomance, and Madness at the Darkmoon Faire will be leaving in April?

Yes, those sets are rotating and we will of course have the new core set as well. That's an interesting thread idea. What would all of you like to be included in the new core set? As far as tribes, mechanics, etc. I think it would be cool if they reintroduced a lot of the menagerie style cards from over the years, we could even have some of them added to BGs as well.

posted a message on Mercenaries Day 1 - The Most OP Comp Ever

@brofist I've got some great news for you. You don't have to play the mode if you don't want to!

@op yeah it should be a good day one comp for sure with Thrall and Samuro dishing out great damage and Xyrella limiting the retaliation damage. I think there's also going to be some great fire comps with Berron Geddon speeding up your team and Antonidus and Rag being your glass cannons.

posted a message on Mercenaries - Blademaster Samuro will be very strong

Yeah Samuro should be very good in what people are calling the BTX build. It includes Blade Samuro, Thrall and Xyrella. Xyrella acts first and debuffs one of your opponent's priority minions, then Thrall buffs Samuro and Samuro gets to double attack. Thrall also gets to attack twice you have doomhammer as his equipment. If everything goes well you can burst your enemies team down very quickly without taking very much retaliation damage. And the characters on your bench can be more orcs to double down on the synergy with Thrall. Should be a good comp and I'm looking forward to trying it and many others.

posted a message on Some cool Warrior decks to try

Yeah 8 weapons is going to be too clunky in most games, especially considering the hatchet’s 4 durability. I’d recommend 4-5 weapons. With the slots you save you could probably add Thresh, Saurfang and Rattlegore for some late game punch, or add some more midrange minion and weapon payoffs. Frothing Berserker comes to mind.

Don’t know if this counts cuz it wasn’t ladder, but a few years back I played a best of five against Hotform on his stream. Finished 3-1 in his favor because my midrange shaman lost to his control warrior after an unlucky brawl left me short of lethal.

posted a message on Balance Changes Coming Next Week - 5 Nerfs, 10 Buffs!

Hmmmm buffs are intriguing to say the least. Shaman needs the most support with both elemental shaman and Murloc shaman failing to find any success. Followed by Druid which only has token and demon Hunter which only has the life steal otk.

Maybe we’ll see buffs to shaman’s elementals and murlocs, buffs for druid’s taunt and/or menagerie synergies and buffs for Deathrattle Demon Hunter.

This is a fun idea. If you’re looking for more deck suggestions, I’d recommend:

    Anyfin OTK Paladin

    Holy Wrath OTK Pally

Midrange Shaman (rather then even shaman, you could focus on totem synergy and bloodlust, hint: Muklas Champion from TGT is underrated)

    Mecha’Thun Warlock

    Egg Hunter

posted a message on Can someone recommend me some video games for extremely manly individuals?
    Quote from Shadowrisen >>

lol, sherman and I have featured frequently as a duo, not always an harmonious one.

For the record, I am no Shapiro clone.  Winning an argument without changing someone's mind (not necessarily the person you're arguing with, but someone) is as pointless as masturbation and not half as fun.

Haha wasn’t making a dig against you or Shapiro. Although I must admit that owning the libs is a good past time.

Wow Sherman and Shadowsrisen in the same thread. I'm not sure if someone's about to get trolled or defeated with facts and logic, respectively. lmao

In regards to the topic, games that nobody else mentioned:

StarCraft: The most competitive strategy game on the market. Playing Terran is of course inherently manly since they are humans with a passion for guns and heavy machinery (most Terran infantry are conscripted from the most violent felons). Protoss are also acceptable being that they are a tribalistic alien race with a warrior caste system. Zerg however are not manly because they are bugs. Bugs are inferior to hmans and must be crushed.

XCOM is also great. You are the commander of a worldwide military alliance and must defend against alien invasion and occupation in turn-based battles. Nothing is more manly than killing things to defend your property.

The Metro Series is also great. It's a post apocalyptic survival shooter taking place in the aftermath of nuclear war between America and Russia. Unlike the open world and RPG focus of a something like Fallout, Metro is more focused on survival mechanics and telling a compelling story. So if you're someone like me who gets bored after a while in open worlds, a shorter, more polished game is great. And of course, it goes without saying that surviving massive explosions is very manly.

    Quote from Finalstan >>

When people ask for nerfs what they are really asking for is proper balancing. That is not unreasonable. You have 10 classes and each one should have a viable deck in the meta. That is not the case. Some are promoted and others deliberately kept underpowered. For reasons.

Every class having a viable deck is an extremely unreasonable expectation. Even if decks were super closely balanced with only less then 1% separating their win rates, the very best few decks would still be the most popular. For the record, I’d consider our post-nerf meta right now to be fantastic. Every class besides Shaman and Priest is seeing a good amount of play on ladder.
