posted a message on No it's not bias, key cards are sniped immediately after taunt dies.

I can't say too much on the topic, i'm not as regular a player - but i do spend a LOT of time when i do play being annoyed that my minions flat refuse to take out the soul juggler, like, ever :P

Lucky for me, I don't want any of those games, and I don't mind spending a little money on games I DO like. I guess a "waste of money" is different from person to person, what a crazy thought.

posted a message on the game crashes when i try to add last opponent

Some time ago I had that problem, if I tried to add people beyond the 200 person limit - also, you should find and delete any old pending friend requests that were never accepted.

posted a message on is Tickatus actually worth crafting?

If you're a big Warlock player, then you probably should - it's a good card that is also kinda fun, and unique. I'm a big Warlock player too, and while i opened Tickatus in a pack, i would have crafted him anyway if I hadn't, the way i crafted Wilfred Fizzlebang for no earthly (or Azerothly) reason.

posted a message on Blizzard's response to the whole system revamp

Boy, I really wish everyone who comes on here to announce they're uninstalling really DOES it, and subsequently stops posting, It really gets tedious.

"I hate the designers, I hate RNG, I hate Aggro, I hate Control Priest, I hate Battlegrounds, I hate Duels, I hate the rewards system. Evil greedy Blizz making, no FORCING me to pay money to play this game i despise, RAAAAAGGGGEEEE!"

Seriously, please, uninstall it, get a grip, don't pay money for things you don't want, let those of us who enjoy the game do our thing.

posted a message on The RNG mechanism isn't really Random?

Boy, people do love the phrase "confirmation bias" on this site, don't they? So much easier than actually considering the possibility that the way "random" is programmed could be something other than true random. The best is when they want you to have documentation on 10000 games played to support your theory, whereas they just throw "confirmation bias" out there for everything without actually looking into anything.

I think it IS ridiculous to get that many Kargaths, and that it very likely has something to do with the way it is programmed. Dunno why people think that's so far-fetched.

posted a message on Disapointed in Hearthstone now

I almost feel as though the OP has never really played the game before. . . unless he/she somehow remembers a day when all 9 (at the time) classes had 3 or 4 powerful decks with no RNG that were perfectly balanced and wonderful. I've been at this for about as long as the game has been out, and i'm guessing week 2 is when people started whining about the decks, saying that none of them were fun, and that the game was going downhill. There is nothing particularly observant about pointing out that some decks are strong, some classes are not, and boohoo sob sob, etc.

So far as i can determine, the OP doesn't like aggro, control, combos, OTK, tier 1 decks, or trash tier decks, and seems surprised that people play with the standard legal cards in standard. But, hey, thank goodness it's not a salt thread.

posted a message on Hearthstone in the past and today

I've played almost since the beginning, before Naxx and GvG, and while certain things are maybe as good or better, I definitely do not enjoy the game like I used to. Part of it is just being jaded, I suppose, but a lot of it is because I don't enjoy copy/pasting top decks and winning or losing based almost entirely due to matchups. There have always been elements of this, of course, but right now it feels to me that the favored netdecks in every class are just too airtight, and will unfailingly win or lose almost every match simply based on matchup. The fact that those decks are mostly what you see in casual doesn't really help either, whether it's druids ramping up to 7-10 mana and ALSO having the payoff cards, or paladin spamming those librams, or those horrible Priest decks that make you want to slit your wrists - there's not a lot of room for you to experiment and win with off-meta cards or clever gameplay. What fun I end up having depends mostly on what kind of matchups I end up queueing into - if i'm fortunate, I have a decent time, if not, I'm mostly annoyed, and if I'm playing my favorite class (Warlock), then I'm just a sad panda.

posted a message on Is there a way to know when you are queued against a group

It is obvious that if groups of friends play together that they will likely cheat/help each other against any strangers, it's a really dumb set-up. Should be a way to avoid that for those who care about their rating.

posted a message on Does anyone else refuse to play Demon Hunter?

Seems a little strange to disregard an entire class, especially if it's over aggro-boo-hoo stuff, since every class has had some sort of oppressive aggro deck at some point (excluding Priest, I guess). I don't like pure aggro decks, so I didn't play it much in Ashes meta, but I've found it fairly amusing lately, trying for some big demons - I even use that big dumb 9-cost one that drains opposing minions. All classes can be kind of fun - except maybe mages. I really don't like mages.

posted a message on Why are people angry about old cardbacks returning?

I'm never sure what the confusion is - the cosmetic rewards are for in-game achievements. If you give them away to everyone, then what point do they serve? Might as well just give me the Legend and Golden Celebration card backs then, I guess.

Luckily, this time Blizzard's greed is actually good for everyone, so rather than complaining, everyone can buy what they don't earn :)

posted a message on Why Does Everyone Get Off On Being a Douche Bag?

Haha, this is way over the top, and I speak as one who "rage adds" people all the time. If someone playing a couple extra cards before killing you or emoting or whatever is enough to send you into a giant fit of rage, judging people to be douchebags and sociopaths, while simultaneously calling it a silly childen's card game. . . well, I hate to say it man, but the problem is clearly on your (my) end. We have an entire world of people judging everything everyone else does, and if they dislike or misunderstand it, well. . . "douchebag" or "racist" or "moron" or "asshole", etc etc. You're not different, and no better, than anyone else. I take no pride in my fits of stupid rage over losing games, and it's certainly no mark of superiority.

posted a message on can't wrap my head around how effective no-minion mage is

Mage has always been my least favorite to go up against, and that has gone to epic level now over the last couple expansions. Making it worse is that all the RNG mages seem to love playing in casual, forcing me to auto-concede 3 or 4 games in a row sometimes.

I'm beginning to consider the possibility that I am no longer the target audience for Hearthstone, lol
