I think all the built in draw makes it seem like a weird hybrid between aggro and combo. It seems like a class that 9 year olds would design. Like if they were planning a superhero, and they gave him flying, magic, super strength, invulnerability, rockets, and teleportation. So much reach, weapons and attack potential, healing, cheap cards, cost reduction, draw and silence, coupled with that weird lock card that kills your mana for a turn and two legendaries that can turn around a totally lost game. I mean why are they printing new charge cards when they said the mechanic would be discouraged? And a charge card with that effect?
Anyway, I suppose it is the least RNG class, but I don't like the way it looks or plays, it feels cheap.
Seems a little strange to disregard an entire class, especially if it's over aggro-boo-hoo stuff, since every class has had some sort of oppressive aggro deck at some point (excluding Priest, I guess). I don't like pure aggro decks, so I didn't play it much in Ashes meta, but I've found it fairly amusing lately, trying for some big demons - I even use that big dumb 9-cost one that drains opposing minions. All classes can be kind of fun - except maybe mages. I really don't like mages.
I'm the same, I played it a bit when it came out and then quickly lost interest. I found the class identity an irritating mix of all the most annoying parts of Warlock, Hunter, and Priest, and realized I'd rather just play those classes instead of this weird amalgam class that honestly is not that fun to play as. Which makes for a lot of free dust whenever I open DH cards :P
I don’t like the style. Demon hunters or illidan never had any appeal to me. It looks so silly with the blindfold and the glowing eyes and shirtless purple muscle body and glowing tattoos and long horns. That’s the world of Warcrafts chad experience. And the playstyle very well reflects it too.
Oh man, so much is starting to make sense... Did it become an Inceĺ site? Or, has it always been and I just didn't notice? The toxic "expectations"... The absurd entitlements.
Now, we've got a dude who won't play a class, because the avatar makes him feel sexually inferior.
"They owe me packs", "women should owe me sex"
Scary.
Appeal and design of a class IS and SHOULD be the only reason to play a class or not. And not if it’s any good in the meta. I just didn’t like ilidan. I never did. Even back then when I was a Teenager and played wc3. And even now married with children I think he is stupid and arthas should have killed him for good.
arthas on the other hand ... I would kiss his icy ass
I've been playing since GvG and won't play it. I tried a few games here and there to understand their strategy, but that's about it. It's another aggro class instead of hunter? Big deal, 1 mana +1 attack hero power is the least creative cop out I've seen in this game. And I really like HS!
TBH I don't mind playing DH or playing against DH. I've been playing since closed beta (Nov. 2013) and I have seen, and been a part of, some crazy/sh*t metas. (Oh how I miss Mysterious Challenger ) :P And when DH first came out, there was NO EXCUSE for it's extremely over powered rush decks that it was capable of! But it seems as if it's leveled off, or the other classes have leveled up, to be on par with it and each other. Yes, I do prefer "rush" type decks. As a M:TG player since 1993 (yes I'm old) we used to call them "weenie" decks. It was always my preferred style of play. Throws your opponent off..."What's he gonna do with those stupid lil guys"? "OH, I see....." I do get the feeling that DH is like the "step-sibling" to the other Hero's, just because it's not one of the originals. But I have no problem with it when all things are equal. Just my two cents. /Thumbs up
I know, why people play this class and can respect it, but for me, it feels like cheating and is about as much fun as having a stroke and a heart-attack at the same time.
The mechanics and minions are cheap, the utility cards over-powered and everything screams: Play me for getting to higher ranks quickly, so you buy more packs.
I love this game and will probably always play it until the last server dies, but DH is not for me.

Couldn't agree with this any more. You got my feelings down exactly.

I think many people refused to play with DH in the past being afraid to lose with a class considered OP.
I personally don't like the class design, the colors, it gives me a bad feeling seeing all that awful dark green looking like alien vomit.

I don't refuse, but their playstyle (aggro) does not suit my control playstyle
One of my best decks is demon hunter and I refuse to play against secret mage
Boring shit class I don't play. I find edge lord funny but deck is nothing new just same shit aggro.

Demon Hunter is just like Face Hunter just more annoying and awful to play against.
You seem to be under this very wrong impression classes do matter today.
No, they don't. They have no identity anymore.

"The world outside is so big, but it's safe in my domain
Because to you I'm just a number and a clever screen name..."
I THINK FOR MYSELF, THEREFORE.... I'M AN ATHEIST !!!
"Created by" is not a class identity

Playing only DH for 1k wins, and few opponents have instant conceded. I don't mind for free win.
i like dh

I wish blizz just delete that stupid broken class.
i'm just pretending that this 'class' doesn't exist, probably didn't play it since the first month of outland
don't see it played anymore either, it like vanished from ladder which is great. the game didn't need that thing anyway
seems to me like everyone just got bored and annoyed with it, not complaining :)
I understand the sentiment, I don't play Mage or Priest. They're both super boring autopilot classes.
Aggro DH is kind of redundant but I enjoy the control/soul version quite a bit.
