This post is completely irrelevant now that the nerfs are live. There is zero point to discussing your personal predictions when we have the actual nerfed cards to play with now.
Play the new meta for a few days and get back to us about how you feel then.
That is absolutely not true, but you are entitled to your garbage opinion.
So, I know this is ahead of the nerfs hitting the meta, but I was playing some games recently and I realized it had similarities with what was played about 8 months or so.
So basically there is this warrior deck that does not feel fun to play against (like Odd Warrior). And I am unconvinced the nerf to Boom will do anything about that.
A few Mage decks, which I assume will land on bottom tier two after the nerf to Lunas (like Big Spell Mage or Odd Mage). A super Aggro Paladin deck (like Odd Paladin). A few solid Hunter decks, Token Druid, some sort of Aggro Rogue, some sort of Shudderwock Shaman, some sort of Combo and Resurrect Priest. And of course Zoo is always around. What is missing are (good) controlly Druid and Warlock decks.
I mean yes, some cards are different. But it feels like 8 months ago, only without the above mentioned control decks, and a lot less variety that is viable (also thinking about Even Paladin or Quest Rogue).
So does this sound crazy? If so, please tell me. If you make me cry you will likely never know.
I take control meta everyday over aggro & face..... If you can't have strategy thinking in your mind and just wanna rush mindlessly then maybe Hearthstone is not the game for you?
Go play Fortnite instead and rush the enemy over and over again.
This current version of control warrior proves that control does not automatically mean "strategy" or "thinking".
This is the most brainless deck out there at the moment.
I worry it was not enough because the rush and all the heropowers remain the same. And since pocket galaxy was nerfed to the ground again and mage was kind of a counter, this will create more warriors than before.
Boardclear, Boardclear, freeze, freeze, box, freeze, box, boardclear...fun to play against
Mage just crawled out of the gutter from it's last batch of nerfs and rotations so kindly piss off with that opinion. A couple tweaks, possibly, nerfed hard, no
Sure, Conjurers Mage was so bad that we have the need for 3 more Archetypes.
I kindly invite you to piss off yourself with your ignorance.
Well since CW is seen a lot at legend rank the problem isn't the deck. You need to learn to play it better. Other than mindless aggro decks you need to know how to play the deck. They don't pilot themselves.
This fairy tale is from way back when Control Warrior actually was a deck where you needed to think.
The current version (and this is true since the rotation) very much pilots itself.
Yeah except that it is easy to scream "MISPLAY!" when you have perfect information as the viewer.
Also a play is not a misplay if two turns later it turns out that another play would have been better if your opponent's cards were different. You cannot play around everything.
totally is right now. it had close to 70% winrate yesterday. you have to go right into HS replay to see the real stats. at a glance things appear one way, but it's not how they actually are when you go in and look at the data.
I was thinking zoo was bottom of tier 2 till yesterday when really it should be top of tier one as it has a much higher winrate across all decks than even token druid at this point.
of course nothing is set in stone yet and it's just a case of decks coming through to counter what is popular and strong
tempo rogue is actually higher than druid as well with a winrate over 60% token druid is around 55/59% now as it;s getting hard countered by warlock.
the next step will be the control meta as zoo is weakest to control warrior. after everyone starts playing carpet zoo and murloc shaman to counter druid, the control decks will come in to mop up the aggro.

Control is healthy for the meta.
Control warrior as it exists now is not.

A warrior complains about a Mage...seriously?
Both of those classes need to be nerfed hard.

Yes, it is definitely time. I mean it is almost a couple of hours since release. I am shocked he is not hall of fame'd yet.
