I would have entered the list if it wasn't for the 30 cap needed. Meh, I have the win rate, I don't have the time.

I finished with 6.8 wins this month, a bit above my historic average (6.58). Of course I won't cut into the list with only 17 Arena runs... I wish Blizzard could lower the needed number of runs, I work and study, so reaching 30 isn't possible for me. 20 would be reachable by much more players, and it's still a reasonable number to avoid variance.

Anyway, a good month for me. The surprise was Hunter, with a 8.2 average (12-1,11-3 and 2x 5-3) including my first 12 win ever with the class (I'm saying surprise because it has always been a class I tend to avoid picking). Now I'm only missing Priest to complete the 12 win fest with every hero. My most picked was of course Rogue (my best class and the one I enjoy the most playing with), with 7 runs and a 7.7 win average.

I'd put Hunter up there with Mage, Rogue and Paladin as one of the best few classes so not too surprising, though that's a great average for them. Nice! 30 is a lot of runs for sure, especially if you're aiming for this challenge where you're hoping to hit at least 7 or so wins per run - that makes each run pretty damn long.
Yes, I'll be picking Hunter more often for sure. And yes, it's a lot of runs really. My average time per run must be around 80-90 minutes, so there's no chance to reach 30 in a month sadly.

It's very difficult to give advice knowing so little of how are you playing, but I definitely agree with most that said that Arena isn't the best way to learn for a beginner. It's the most difficult and complex mode in HS due to so many factors you need to take into account each turn and being all decks very different from each other only make that worse.

Really excited about this one. Despite being my 36th 12-win overall, it was my first with Hunter! A class that I tend not to choose in Arena and one that I've never been too good with. I never expected such an easy path to 12 wins with a 68.8 tier score hunter deck tbh. Now I'm only missing Priest to complete the 12 win fiesta.

Obvious MVP was 2x Call of the Wild, which closed so many games. Savannah Highmane on curve was also pretty devastating. But overall, the greatest thing was the surprising amount of reach this deck had, which allowed me to develope an aggro-control strategy, zoo styled, which was much better for my playstyle than a pure aggro deck. I always had control of the board, and if I lost it was when my opponent was already at 10- health, when I could close the deal just with my hero power.

First Un'Goro 12 win! Achieved it with this great versatile Mage deck. I usually played the control-value game with cards like 3x Shimmering Tempest,Pyros, Primordial Glyph, Acolyte of Pain and late game removals such asMeteor, Firelands Portal and Primordial Drake, but some matches I got to be be the agressor, allowed by having so many early drops, specially the 2x Mana Wyrm. The amazing elemental synergy was really helpful, plus Pyros was much better that what I expected.

The craziest match was the last boss. I managed to get and Ozruk from my Servant of Kalimos on turn 7. My opponent got lucky with a Firelands Portal into a Doomguard (removing my Servant). On turn 8, I put 3 elementals on board to make my Ozruk a 5/20 taunt on turn 9! I was lost if he had any form of silence. Luckily for me, he didn't! Here's that last match replay: https://hsreplay.net/replay/s6DWa4vvvnZqxqeMKVMUDZ#turn=8a

Rewards were pretty good as well.

Sadly, the top 3 most used decks will be the tier 1 decks from Tempostorm whichever they are, as everyone and their mother netdeck from there.

posted a message on March Arena top 100 Motivation thread

Hey, I took a break from HS for a couple of months and just went back. Didn't know there was a top 100 for Arena! What are the stats from the 100th (I play in America region)? I just want to know if I would have made it if it was before (my last month was December) My all time average is 6.67 wins, while my December average was 6.8 wins in 32 runs.

I took a break from HS for a couple of months, I couldn't stand the pirate fiesta anymore. Today I had some time and opened it again to play some TB, and I got this free pack to be opened in mid-April. Is it just a common pack from the next expansion or is it something else? And are there more ways to get these free packs?

posted a message on Huge advantage for whoever goes first?

Yeah, it's not news, it has always been like this. It's really noticeable against aggro. If they open with a perfect 1,2,3, then it's almost impossible to win going second. It's one of the main flaws of this game. My stats here show this perfectly:

    https://gyazo.com/21b576373078179b7c5c4e07d4520195

    https://gyazo.com/4a88b6283857e2569cd3d5554cc77403

Paladin is, in my opinion and what my personal experience has shown me, the main example for this, as it has so many win more and buff cards that easily snowball if they already have board control (which is far easier going first) while they do very little if they are losing. But I have better win rate with every class (except warrior, probably due to not having played too much with it) going first, not just Paladin.

posted a message on Anyone else excited for Arena Top 100 Players list?

That would be really cool. I'm at 8.9 average wins this season, though I haven't played as much as I wanted to (only 7 runs so far). So my guess is that I will be there if I can play more. The only thing I don't like is that it heavily encourages tryharding, which will lead to little class variety (for instance, if this would have been implemented now, I wouldn't have chosen Hunter my last run, which is one of my worse classes in Arena).

posted a message on Trading in Arena

It really depends on a lot of factors: your deck's type, your deck's card quality, your opponent's class, the stage of the game, your opponent's previous plays, possible AoE cards, your win conditions, going 1st or going 2nd... It's really difficult to give exact formulas because there aren't any. There are certain common advices though.

    1) It's very recommendable to trade vs Paladin because of all the buffs they have. The same applies for Priest, which can also heal their minions to create card advantage if you let them do the trades.

    2) Vs Warlock face is the place most of the time. You should trade at the early game, but once you got control of the board, start pushing damage because if you don't, they will win at the late game via card advantage with their hero power.

    3) This is obvious but important, always play around the common AoE like Flamestrike or Abyssal Enforcer, unless you realize that the only way to win is if your opponent doesn't have AoE. In that case. it's ok to go all in. This is one of the things that took me most time to implement. I used to always play around AoE, even when my opponent had a clear advantage. That is just delaying a defeat.

    4) Your type of deck is also relevant. Aggro tends to only trade at the early game, Control tries to trade all of the time, while Midrange kind of depends on the card quality of the deck.

    5) It's good to go face if you can set up lethal for next turn. This will give put your opponent under huge pressure, as he needs to either kill you first, remove your minions, taunt or heal. It involves a risk, but most of the times it's the correct play.

This expansion feels easier than previous ones. I normally average like 6.5 wins, though I'm now at 7 in this expansion, with multiple 12 wins (6 in 31 runs so far).

posted a message on Arena Meta in Beginning of 2017: Kabals vs. Goons, value vs. SMorcs.

I can confirm on Warlock as the clear T1 class: https://gyazo.com/7f467d76920016a93906781c35675c86 .  It's really ridiculous, I'm averaging 9.6 wins with it (81% win rate) in this expansion. And overall, in went from being my second worst class in terms on win rate to being the best one.

And I agree in general with your rating, although I can't comment on Hunter and Druid since I haven't used them since Gadgetzan release. Mage is still very good (7.6 wins in 10 runs in this expansion for me) and although I haven't played too much with Paladin, it does get difficult to win when they have a good buff deck. But, unlike Mage, I find it much more polarised in regards of who goes first: In my last 10 Arenas I won my last 10 of 11 games being first against Paladin, while I only won 5 of 10 being second.

To differentiate a bit more the T3 classes, I would put them in this order: Rogue and Hunter (the latter from what I've heard) are the closest to T2; Shaman and Priest are in the middle; Warrior would be in the bottom of T3.

Overall, it would go as this in my opinion:

    T1: Warlock

    T1.5: Mage

    T2: Paladin

    T2.5: Rogue, Hunter

    T3: Shaman, Priest

    T3.5: Warrior

    T4: Druid

So far this expansion worked well for me. It started kind of bad, but now I'm at 7.2 wins (73% win rate) which is a bit above my average 6.68 wins (70% win rate). And it is mainly because of Warlock, although I also hit 12 wins with Mage, Rogue and Warrior. My biggest dissapointment was Priest, as I thought it would have been at least T2, but I couldn't find success with it even with some high rated decks.

In terms of what players are using, I'm finding that the word has finally spread about Warlock being so insane, as my Warlock opponents went from 8% last season (Mage 27%, Paladin 20%, Rogue 13%) to 18% in this season (Mage 26%, Paladin 16%, Priest 13%, the latter went up from 7%). These are merely partial conclusions anyway, as I couldn't play as much as I wanted this season.
