posted a message on Should I spend my gold on GvG? Or save up for the next expansion?

You will still be able to craft gvg cards... so don't spend your gold on packs where you will get just mostly CRAP... and just save your dust and craft the only cards that are good from that expansion.. that's my best bet for ye

    Cheers M8,

posted a message on Legend of the Warsong Commander

I rarely, RARELY comment here, or make decks on here. I read from time to time to keep up with the Jones', but this... was EPIC! I have been playing this game since the beginning and have seen it all! This was a nice, nostalgic reminder of what once was and what will inevitably come to be! Great tale m8!

posted a message on Is Handlock still viable?

oh Handlock... my beloved first love... how I love thee. I have absolutely been going NUTS with the new cards and was lucky enough to even get a golden Wilfred in my 50 packs (the HS gods telling me to stick to my guns and what i know best). With Justicar Trueheart and Wilfred Fizzlebang, OH it's glorious! Still running 2 healbots and a farseer, but that is by far usually enough. I am throwing Frozen Giant in my deck too just because we love to tap tap tap tap tap dat azz.

Repeat from above... Handlock is one the best control deck because of it's adaptability, versatility, and just awesomeness. The catch is, so many people call it a bust or "too slow", which it can be with nothing but face hunters, but that isn't the case atm. I have gone from 4 to 1 with 2 stars using my TGT Handlock build. I have played the deck since it's conception so I always have my own "twist" on it that works for me. You have to know how to play it and have to understand your opponents deck and adjust (which is VERY difficult to do right now). But like I said, if you know how to play it right, you will take 60%+ winrate!

    Cheers!

posted a message on Rng makes me want to puke

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, especially when stating the obvious; this is a CARD game. I am sure most if not all HS players have played a card game of some sort at some point in their lives, playing with a deck of cards is playing with a set parameter of RNG. It just HAPPENS. NO way around, nothing you can do about it, you adjust, and you move on. There is not a single viable/legit card game in the history of card games that you can have a 100% win ratio with. Heck, in HS, you are doing solid and are considered a solid player if you just win over 50% of the time. Why is that? Because on top of the RNG, strategy is factored in along with understanding of all cards in the field (in play and not in play). Not to mention knowledge of the meta you are in and how to approach them with the best possible chance at success.

So no matter what bud, RNG is RNG... as long as HS is a card game, the RNG element will always be there, it's up to you to adjust to the game and your playstyle/meta to eliminate as much RNG as you possibly can. Just keep on keeping on, play game after game and never stop, watch streamers, youtube vids, whatever can help better you as a player. Watch how "pros" use their knowledge of the game as a whole to eliminate as much RNG as possible. Almost every professional HS player can tell what their opponent has in their hand just from the cards that they played on previous turns and they use anticipation (this is usually the key element that separates us from the pros lol). Just have fun man, at the end of the day, card game or not... it's still just a game!

posted a message on Top 5 Zoo

Mech mage doesn't stand chance... trade em smart and count wisely! Extra taunts isn't a bad thing. That five slot I just slung a HUGE body in that made some kind of sense (which you could even put Leeroy Jenkins, like the old days homie!

Druid... mull for your owls... hold them because he is going to pop his DoTC, belchers, and/or Blueberry as soon as he realizes he is facing zoo (I have only faced a couple and blow innervates and coins and their whole load just to get out that blueberry to meet the ironbeak

Warriors SUCK against me, this deck? I dunno... I am not a "great" player.. I just enjoy it.. but they counter the shit out of me (as they should) with a zoo deck. I am only talking about control warrior (and good ones)... can just face all the rest of them and vomit your hand on the board. Although I have run into quite a few Controllers that are putting brawl back in. Patron warrs, haven't met one yet, don't want to, shit seems SICK!

    Good Luck bud

posted a message on Group therapy! Need to blow off steam? Mega salty? Here is the place!

Got tired of trying to make my Drood a goldie because of the beloved face huntard... so I went back to my trusty Golden Gul'dan and Zoo their asses to oblivion. I am over 75% against the facers with zoo because they won't trade and you can out tempo them MUCH quicker. As for the rest of the ladder, I haven't lost yet because everyone else is trying to figure out how to beat the facers and just can't even come close to countering zoo. Maybe I have had good luck, maybe not. I have played zoo/hand since day 1, will continue to do so since every other deck is useless atm. I know shield warriors are a pain in the ass but I am not under 50% against them.. they are by far the biggest pain in my arse running zoo.

For the record, I am sick of playing zoo, like I have said, I have done it from the jump, but you do whatcha gotta do. I have a life and 2 jobs, I don't have time to be all innovative and create an archtype of my own. I stick with what I know, I tweak it here and there... and viola... the salt washes off!

posted a message on The Aggro Issue

I play aggro and I play control decks. I am an experienced HS player, from the start along with MTG. The proposed cards suggested have already been pointed out as to why they would be bad. Maybe add one or two of them, ok. As I play aggro, I have been on 5 game losing streaks, I have been on 5 game winning streaks. This is the same case when I play control. I play within the top 10, and you mention that you too play at rank 7. But it seems you reached such a high ranking VERY fast and probably for the first time? maybe? (just speculating because you claim to have went straight to casual to protect your rating whereas I would have kept on trucking and trucking with that kind of luck) but I have played in these ranks with the same players that always play in these ranks and they know how to counter me when I play aggro, they know how to counter me when I play control.

It is much more about the player than the decks in these ranks, we know the cards within 2 rounds that are in your deck and we know (respectively) how you are going to go about playing them. The rest is relied upon the unavoidable RNG that comes with playing a card game. Can't stop that, only way to counter is to add more draw power. Playing in casual and ranked is also like night and day, people do not care or think as much in casual as they do in ranked and take more risks than in ranked play. This is my 2 cents, well... looks like 5 or 6 cents. L8r

Just wanted to throw in that your mulls are your most important move in any game. At the upper ranks, you NEED to know what class you're playing and likely (being familiar with the meta) what archetype they are bringing as well. Just play more... a little more, then top it off with some more playing for the sake of learning! Knowledge is Power friend!

posted a message on Did everybody except me just get significantly better at this game?

I am a top 10 player, and yes, I had a hiccup (and could possibly still be there) from 18-16ish. Contrary to what some are saying on here, but then again in agreement with others, the previous legends ARE actually still ranking. It is only 10/9 and as Fortheundercity stated, very wisely I might add (as in I didn't even consider this... touche m8) I know of AT LEAST 4 tournaments just ending and I am not in that circuit of players...so yea. Hang tight, we're all feeling it (and all getting a little better even if it does not seem so). I faced mirror legend-back Zoo at 18 yesterday and handed his ass to him on a silver platter, and while I have beat plenty of players in past seasons during first week of season, never a zoo (musta been new... zoo is hard =x). You'll get there bud. As for arena... gave up light years ago lulz

p.s. I also might add that I just started leveling up yesterday (play between 5-8 every season just because no time to grind the legend and not lucky enough to streak it and quite possibly just not good enough who knows?). I consider myself average and not good/great but I know what I am doing and I like gold cards so my entire zoo and naxx decks (even all of my subs I put in and out depending on meta) are all goldies/epics/legendaries.  Most would consider that "decked out", if by "decked out" means I have the cards I feel most comfy playin then heck yea I am lol! I am always willing to talk with/help anyone that needs it :D

posted a message on Next card or cards on the nerf wagon?

So much Doomguard hate. I don't care if they nerf him or not tbh, I play zoo at the start of my climb just to blow through all the retards playing retard decks then swap to my bread and butter handlock. I know ppl are going to say that this is a retarded combo, but its not so retarded to the win streaks I have kept up because of this little OTK, and it is even better than Leeroy Jenkins + Power Overwhelming + Faceless Manipulator combo that I used to run (I use the "control everything with giants" playstyle), ESPECIALLY with this slow meta that Lord Jaraxxus is viable again, to my playstyle at least. The certain OTK I am talking about is yes 10 mana, very slow, but again... so is this meta and on top of that, Handlock decks anyways.

Arcane Golem + Power Overwhelmingx2 + Faceless Manipulator = 24 damage, one of the biggest OTK's ever, I have not seen many people at all complain about this combo at all really but I am guess it is because not many are running it? I have kept the stats on this combo and since we handlocks like big hands, this combo comes in hand more times than not in my case (and maybe I just have good RNG), but I have won 19 games with this full combo, 4 of which I had Lord Jerry out. I have won 28 games with just 1 Power Overwhelming in the combo. This is over a 234 games span, 123 of which in ranked, and I am playing within the 6-3 meta.

posted a message on [Naxx] Crown's Heroic Gothik the Harvester Deck

First try (he was the last heroic boss I needed for my card back btw). This seems to be the only deck (at least the only deck I was able to draw what I needed when I needed) to kill him with! But anyways, Thank you sir for my new card back!

This is actually the first boss that I had to netdeck... I didn't have to but I just could NOT think of anything and I have tried every other deck and yours is similar to others no doubt, like I said, your deck just gave me what I needed at the right time! and I feel NO SHAME in netdecking this idiot boss lol.

No clue why HE was so hard for me to kill and the others were... well... relatively easy with home-grown decks and all!

All of these are good cards, but you can only use the druid cards obviously with the druid, while Leeroy can be put in any deck you wish! It is your choice, by all means, but I would take Ole 'Roy

posted a message on Average Player's Discussion Thread

Yea, this average Joe does really enjoy these forums for the most part. I can predict what a thread (and its commentators) are all about from the title. I don't bother with these because the sweet moderators on these forums are pretty dang quick to close the door before too much trash blows in. Would be nice to have Hearthstones forum mods on other forums I enjoy frequenting. *raises a Quervo Black*, this ones for the mods to keep being BAMFs on here and of course, to my fellow mediocre stoners!
