Have the same problem and with mediocre healing it's too hard to keep up and turn around the game. FoK is unreliable and sometimes a liability (Imp-Gang Boss) and Skulker situational and doesnt combo well with the other "undamaged" cards. I'm gonna try 1 BF with Squidface (desperation)...
I didnt read your whole post, just the one that explains Ysera compared to Hogger and Mukla and I couldnt agree more. I was hoping for Nightmare Ysera tbh.
One wasted potential that I find is the introduction of Neltharion (the guy before he becomes Deathwing). He was a nice guy with all the dragons on his side, hence the effect makes sense. Instead of giving us just another Deathwing with a cool effect, they could have made him with his good side and show how he was before the corruption. Another thing they could have done is change the effect of our current Deathwing to a more powerful version (not discard your hand for example but still destroy everything), since the Old Gods are here to give him more strength and give us back the old effect when the Old Gods where rotating out of Standard; hence solving the dust issues, if people were complaining (though the new Deathwing is supposed to fill that role, it would feel better lore-wise to have only one corrupted Deathwing card in the set).
This just proves that they have very limited time to manage, test and think about everything (+maybe limited staff). Nevertheless, it's still my favourite card expansion so far.
So, are the revived minions selected randomly or sequentially? About to craft N'Zoth and would like to know. Searched for the word "random" in this thread but came up empty on a definitive reply.
After messing around a bit more, it's actually worth it and mostly for combo decks. It's just as expected in them. Whateverr poison you get (in Miracle at least) is really helpful.
I think it costs that much for the crazy amount of Health it gives to a class that wants high health minions. Still I wouldnt mind if it was at 4-mana since it's also a common (arena purposes).
Technically C'Thun was not killed, he simply changed form. That's why Hex is the most powerful removal that currently exists in the game (3-mana for a 0 attack minion compared to the other morphs).
See how some of the best decks have been created in the past and you can do it too (the easiest deck to make is Zoolock if you want to try). Observation is the first and quite important step for making a good deck, especially for your favorite class.
As for the op title, some people try stuff around and others just want to have fun with the new cards before it somehow becomes boring again. Who are you to judge them?

Have you considered 1 Faceless Manipulator? Maybe instead of Assassinate for a higher damage combo.

If they wanted to kill it they could just rotate it with sth else from another set. It's just so frustrating to have dead cards in the classic sets.

Just like when you Polymorph/Hex a Murloc Warleader, he doesnt return with Anyfin Can Happen; the same happens with the other cards.
