The lack of healing and the time aspect is what I agree for aggro decks. However, I dont see them that often and with Reno Jackson still being around, I can even crush them with the new Control Rogue.
I dont get the point of your thread though. Your asking a question in the title and you're answering it in your post. Why did you open this thread?
I don't get where this Reno Jackson kills aggro mentality comes from, Reno Jackson has not and never will kill aggro, face hunter, aggro shaman, aggro paladin were way more dominant than reno, even in reno lock, with the best draw engine in the game, you simply did not draw him a lot of the time, you were dead by turn 5-6-7. It's not a consistent card or deck; what kills aggro is a great early game and big tempo plays, not reno.
Nowhere. I said I can crush them with Reno Rogue, not that Reno Jackson kills aggro mentality. Nothing will ever kill aggro, since it's part of the game.
As for your example, I havent been dead in turns 5-6-7 for a long time now. I have to play a super control deck with no damage mitigation cards for that to happen. Also, no matter how great your early game is in a control deck, you're through if you dont have any healing.

Most of the times I get the 1-mana Shadowstep from Xaril or Anub'arak from JB or I win due to Brann + Twin Emperor. They dont have enough board clears for everything :D (+ I have Shadowcaster that can copy everything)
I've noticed that 90% of Mages I've faced have the F*ING Mana Wyrm in their starting hand (I remember the two that didnt have it actually :D). It's not that I'm losing games because of it most of the times (if I'm not mistaken I lost only once because of it); it's just annoying to see it consistently).
Thanks buddy! I'll consider it. I like the idea behind Shadowstep but against aggro I like to get on board quickly and try to survive until I get Reno. I usually need one push from him and I won. I'll think it though because Shadowstep has such a great interaction with almost all minions in this deck.
Is Xaril too slow for a deathrattle rogue deck? I feel like you want minions who have more board impact. What are people's opinions?
My opinion so far is that he's not so good in a deathrattle deck. His small body makes it difficult to trade and he's often low impact compared to other cards. You must be winning on board, when you play him. He's great in a combo deck though.
Nah, people were saying that about Shaman the previous expansion, but look at them now. I think it's just the cycle they follow, where they purposely make a class go into horribly bad unplayability, then shower them with the best and quite obviously most OP cards in the expansion. We saw them heavily favor Paladins in GvG, and now Shamans in WoG. There doesn't seem to be one in TGT, but the entire expansion was a shit-show, so, it makes sense.
Yeah, apparently this year is Shaman's. But I disagree for TGT; everyone got shit except Paladin (not just MC but Murloc Knight and Seal of Champions as well).
But you don't need board clears or Blade Flurry to win with rogue, Blizzard nerfed (well, destroyed) this card to being able to give this class very powerful weapons without creating broken combos, just use the amazing weapons that where released with this expansion and have fun... oh, wait...
Oh, yeah! Can't wait to try out that good ole' Poisoned Blade. /sarcasm
I'm more interested in the "broken" weapon buffs we got (Southsea Squidface)...
I like Squidward, but not enough to put in a deck.
He always seems to show up on the journey anyways though.
I like Squidface as well (it seems to make BF somewhat viable). But it's not what I expected after their BF nerf justification.

Not a big rant, just a small frustration.

Yeah that Sap has saved me so many times from Innervates and x2 Tunnel Troggs as well.

Is Shadowstep that good? Why did you take out Huckster? I'm playing your old version and I find it great so far.
