I am 99.99% sure there is something different. At first i opened around 7 packs and didn't get a legendary, then after reading the forums i spent a little over 1k gold on packs. The results were 4 legendaries (1 each from 4 different expansions). There also seems to be much better chances at golden and epic cards. I have played since beta and have never seen "luck" like this before. 4 legendaries out of 20 packs is not normal.
Head on over to use the free arena pass for the week. Hunter, druid and warrior... proceed to draft the lowest scoring deck in years. Every opponent is mage, mage, mage, mage... lol. I was basically watching them play.
Not really hyped yet, but there are still many cards to be revealed. I like the prologue idea. Definitely wish they went for more of a gritty theme with the cinematic and presentation. Jaina, knights and ice cream... at least it wasn't a disco party again.
Judging by the pictures and themes it looks a bit more gritty, which is great. It would be nice to see it be an adventure with challenging heroics. Something along the lines of how Naxx was. Here is to hoping it doesn't turn into another disco party.
Judging by the Overwatch rewards and the picture they provided it would be 6 classic packs with 1 guaranteed legendary. There are also Overwatch crate rewards in the following months, so if there was a new Hearthstone hero it would probably be later on. This might be a business strategy because you would need Prime for multiple months to collect everything.
Went from 20 to 5 with this deck for the monthly rewards. The deck is way too powerful and only needs 1 card from the expansion (Golakka). There are basically 3 decks being played on ranked. This deck and quest warrior/rogue. Both the quest decks get chewed up easily. The only real match up is against other pirate warriors. Ended up with 84% win rate.
-1 Grimy for another Mortal Strike (great finisher against other pirate warriors)
-1 Runt for Ooze (over 99% of decks faced are weapon classes)
Not sure where all the hate is coming from. The 33% brings the total value more in line with what we should have gotten. The bug caused many extra tri class cards which were essentially just dust, instead of getting a wider variety of newer cards. Other regions get a bug free launch.
Having bonus stars for Win streaks allows for people with 50% win rates to get to legend. Every so often you'll get an undeserved extra star at 50% win rate. Having no bonus stars under rank 5 ensures that the only people getting in to legend are those that have a higher than 50% win rate.
Makes sense to me.
I definitely agree. There has been a big push lately to make the legend climb much easier and that is very worry-some for the future of ranked play. If everyone can do it easily then there really is no point.

If the name stood for something special it should have never been changed in the first place.

I had my doubts with the early presentations but this looks awesome. First time being hyped for an expansion in a long time.

Managed to become the cow king on the 3rd game. The win counted as a rogue for a daily. Pretty fun brawl overall.

Ya i am sorry but you are full of it. 50 packs with 12 legendaries, 4 of them being golden. Nope.
